CAMO Rescue is a nonprofit animal rescue group devoted to rescuing dogs from homelessness and euthanasia.
CAMO Rescue saves animals in Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and many other surrounding areas in Texas. Spending over $550,000 a year on vetting costs, we save more than 1,000 lives a year and provide safe housing for over 250+ dogs at a time. Most are in loving foster homes throughout Texas, while 60 dogs call CAMO Kennel their home in Magnolia, TX.
Mission and Vision
Camo is a 501c3 nonprofit animal rescue group devoted to rescuing dogs from high kill shelters and the streets.
CAMO Rescue is a specialized dog rescue organization that offers a safe haven and housing for dogs that have been abandoned, dogs with medical needs, as well as 'euthanasia listed' animals that are in immediate danger of death, and street dogs. We provide comprehensive care including vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, medical treatment, and most importantly, love.
We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. Our mission is not only to care for our dogs, but also to promote responsible pet ownership through community education. We believe that animals deserve respect, compassion, and a quality life. We have formed partnerships with many shelters to help them achieve this goal. Our dogs are retrained for socialization in a loving, adoptive family, and we are proud of our phenomenal success and the amazing support we have received from our community.
Adoption Policy
Adoption process
If you're looking to adopt a dog from CAMO Rescue, the first thing you should do is check out our adoptable dogs! We have a large amount of dogs available for adoption, you can look through our adoptable dogs list above, or by navigating to our PetFinderprofile. Be sure to read the dogs' bios to ensure that the dog you're considering is right for you. Once you've selected the dog(s) that you're interested in, it's time to submit an adoption application. This application will go over general information regarding your previous pets, your living situation, and your vet information.
When you are approved to adopt, a meet & greet will be scheduled for you (and your family) to come to the facility or the meet the foster to meet the dog(s) that you're considering. This meeting will give you more insight on whether or not you would like to continue the adoption process. If you are certain that you would like to adopt the dog(s) you are meeting, then you will be sent an adoption checkout on your mobile device to complete your adoption. Once the checkout is complete, you take your dog home! Every adoptable dog is fully vetted, microchipped, and neutered/spayed. (If they are able/of age. If not, then a spay/neuter contract is required).
Adoption fee
Adoption fees vary depending on a variety of things such as age, health, and temperament. The fee can be found in each dog's bio. You may ask your adoption coordinator about adoption fees whenever they contact you in regards to your application.

Get your dog the safe enrichment they need by renting a Sniffspot

David Adams is a man of many passions, but his love for dogs stands above all. He is not only a dog lover, but also the founder of an innovative platform called Sniffspot. This unique platform connects dog owners with private property owners who are willing to rent out their space for off-leash playtime. While the idea of Sniffspot was initially conceived by his wife, Rebecca, David has been the driving force behind its remarkable success, tirelessly overseeing its growth and development.
David's dedication to providing safe and enjoyable spaces for dogs to play, explore, and socialize is evident in his unwavering commitment to Sniffspot. He strongly believes that dogs need ample space and opportunities to stretch their legs and have fun. As a result, he has worked tirelessly to build a network of private property owners across the country who share his vision and are willing to offer their space for the benefit of dogs and their owners.
Despite his busy schedule, David always finds time to indulge in his passion for the great outdoors. He loves nothing more than exploring new hiking trails and embarking on thrilling outdoor adventures. Whenever he is not working on Sniffspot, he can often be found hiking or visiting multi-acre fenced sniffspots with his two beloved dogs, Soba and Toshii. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys the fresh air, breathtaking scenery, and the sense of freedom that comes with being in nature.
David is based in Salem, MA.
