Texas Husky Rescue, Inc relies solely on volunteer foster families to take huskies into their homes until permanent, qualified, and loving homes can be found. Texas Husky Rescue, Inc. is a responsible animal adoption agency and ensures that none of our dogs will ever contribute to the overpopulation of dogs in our community. The work of Texas Husky Rescue, Inc. is supported by tax-deductible contributions by individuals, corporations, and grants. Our initial goal when we began in 2009 was to save 30 huskies from area shelters. We have rescued over 2,500 and counting.

Let me tell you about a little gal from California who decided her calling in life was to rescue a few Huskies!! That dream soon became a passion and lifestyle. It started with her uprooting her family from California and moving to Oklahoma. She rescued a few Huskies right away! Then a dozen or so more. Throw in a few more like maybe 10…. Oh you know, 2 here, 3 more there…. Now up to 50! Her rescue grew and grew and grew. Oh don’t forget the puppy mill closure rescues…..77 at once….. HHH continues to grew to 100 – then 200 …OMG, where does it end? Her husband is involved, her kids are involved THEY ARE ALL IN!! 24/7 , they eat, sleep and breathe HUSKY! HHH rescues, rehabs, repairs, pays for Vet care, teaches new owners, gives financial and mental stability to each new Husky families. They teach honesty about the breed, they teach Husky language and husky care. HHH promises each family she is there for the Husky and the family anytime. If they need food, medical or help of any kind – she supports them. Huskies are one of the most popular breeds bought as puppies because they are so cute. But, they are misunderstood and when their prey drive or energy level is high because they are HUSKY, they are no longer cute to the owners - but a problem they cannot keep from eating the furniture or escaping from the yard. The next step is they are abandoned on the streets, shot at, neglected, or dumped at a rescue. Jenni and her people drive all over the United States, to rescue euthanize listed Huskies, place Huskies in new homes, take to foster care or Puppy boot camp, travel for Veterinary care and more. She is in the process of putting in a low cost Vet spay and neuter clinic at her rescue, so she can help more dogs and cheaper. Jenni has vision, dreams, goals and more. Arctic Breeds Rescue has been rescuing animals in Utah and the surrounding states for over 20 years. We specialize in rescuing Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes. Many of the dogs we take into rescue are deemed "unadoptable" by shelters or local government and have no other options other than to come to a breed specific rescue who can find them a home where they can be set up to succeed. If you rent a house or live in an apartment, we will verify huskies are accepted with the landlord/management company. Security deposits are the responsibility of the adopter. After your vet check and screenings are completed successfully, TXHR will conduct a fence/home check. This is a check for gaps, broken slats, holes, compromised spots, etc where a husky could escape. As a result of COVID-19 safety precautions, photo documentation is acceptable. Upon successful completion of the application process, a TXHR adoption counselor will set up a meet and greet with you and your matched husky. Once you determine you would like to adopt the husky, you must sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee before taking possession of the husky. All adoptions start with a 5 day trial period to ensure the husky is a good fit in your home and lifestyle..
