I have a large space that I am sure a dog will love to run in. In the winter, post rain, it can get VERY muddy back there. Years of dogs running around has torn up a lot of the ground cover and it's now just dirt, which becomes mud in the winter. In the summer, the "grass" (more weeds than actual grass) gets very dry. There are some burrs due to the dryness so if your dog has longer fur they might get some attached to them. I do my best to weed the weeds that produce them, but there still might be some. It's a fairly large open space with a longer run on the side. Also, I want to note that in the back of the property the fence is lower, around 4/4.5 feet (the rest of the yard is at least 6 feet), so if your dog is a good jumper, this could be an issue. A truly beautiful spot! just the right size to keep an eye on your dogs while they run themselves tired. It was a half acre sandy soil riding arena now converted. We’ve planted 3 weeping willow trees and they will grow quickly to provide even more shade to the grassy area. But rest assured, there is tons of shade and trees all about the doggie park and the rest of the property and along with all the trees comes the birds, so constant singing and tweeting…. It’s quite serene. 2/3 (the center of the park) is irrigated grass… we have a large scratching post and sprinklers And or a pool available for hot days. See extras some days you might luck out because if someone else pays to fill the pool, we won’t immediately drain it for a couple days unless someone else purchases the freshwater. So you may have a slightly used pool to use at no charge.. And if you do pay the $11 to fill it fresh.. you feel good that maybe someone else and there doggies will get to enjoy it beyond your use. —- A paw it forward gesture We have a dig site now, featuring both fresh sand and separately a clean dirt mound. We find half of the dogs prefer the sand and the other half prefer the fresh dirt mound. We also have a dry rock River bed featuring a few scarlet sage plants (non toxic aspca) and many of the dogs like to sniff around there and walk over the smooth rocks. We use the perimeter of the park like a walking track to get in our steps, you are welcome to do the same. There are several seating options, very comfortable chairs spaced in a couple areas or even a couple pool style recliners. We have some things that you may want or need to use from time to time such as insect repellent, sunscreen spray, first aid kit, etc There are 2 indestructible tables in the area if you need a place to set your coffee or would like to get some work done We have some Wi-Fi service available via Starlink and seem to maintain speeds around 15-25mbps, which is not so bad for our rural setting. We are actually just a very short distance from Ripon, Manteca and Tracy (off Kasson Rd and Airport) about 7 or 8 minutes into the country from the Bass Pro Shop in Manteca. only about 20 minutes from Modesto via Ripon and Ripon Road / Jack Tone We will continuously improve the park and maintain and upgrade as use allows. *** Our most recent additions include a restroom within the park perimeter and we now offer self-service snacks and drinks via Venmo, PayPal or Cash. 100% of the snack purchase Donations go directly to the PAW it Forward Sanctuary, NON Profit 501c3 Rescue. We found parking right in front, the place was ready to go. The neighbors 2 dogs did come out, but the neighbor was good at keeping them away so it wasn’t too much of a problem. Our dog loved smelling and exploring. Overall he had a great time and was tired at the end

Leave this space so much! It was beautiful and serene and my dog had the best time sniffing the different plants and running up and down those stairs! The dogs next door heard us and barked at us for a bit but we were ignored and able to enjoy our time here. Loved that this space is like a mini hike and the water bowls everywhere were a nice touch. Koda and I will definitely be back again. He didn't even last the whole time we booked it for but nonetheless we had a great time. See you soon!

Beautiful and spacious yard. Super friendly host! Didn’t see anyone except for the host and only heard distant city traffic and noise. A small road to get to the house so drive slow. Loved that I could park in the driveway!

This is a special and unusual garden spot in the Oakland hills. The host, who I happened to meet, was welcoming and gracious and the space fills a need in an area with few options. The nooks and crannies, the various aromatic plants, and the small shady spaces were very interesting to my pup. The space is accurately described in the listing. Two things to know. First, there are lots of stairs to take you among the various levels of the garden. These are often garden steps without a railing, so owners with mobility concerns might consider that. Second, on the day we visited with our reactive pup there were two dogs on the other side of the fence. We were visiting on a weekend when the neighbor was outside with the dogs and some fence running ensured with our nervous boy. This might not be common or an issue for you.

Another great visit to a beautiful garden. Completely fenced in with lots of nooks and crannies for your pup to sniff around, and very spacious for my dog who loves to chase the ball. We heard the neighbor dogs barking, but this was not a problem for us. A lovely backyard that’s perfect for our pup!

We had a lovely visit! The yard is huge and my younger pup was thrilled to be able to sprint around and hide among the trees. As others have noted, the fencing is low on one side of the yard, but we did get a message from the owners letting us know that the neighbors have a gate blocking the lower part of their yard from their deck, so that provided some peace of mind. The balls and chuck-it were fun and my dogs were grateful for the water!

Will definitely be back! My dog got the zoomies he was so happy. Lots to sniff, lots of space to run and walk, and a quiet/enjoyable space. Lots of balls for him to chase. The only downside was a large fountain basin (I think) that was filled with muddy water that he laid in, and now needs a bath. But it rained this morning so I expected a dirty dog. Definitely try it out!
