Ten acres of scenic, secluded, fully fenced pasture and woods with full access to all hiking trails and half acre pond. The property sits on ten private acres directly off Old Litchfield Trail in Litchfield, IL, and is full of trails for exploring that offer different and varied views of the property and surrounding area. From early spring to late fall, pollinator wildflowers will offer an ever changing colored landscape, along with the sights and sounds of bees, birds and butterflies. Be prepared for a good workout with your dog as you explore all the ins and outs of this unique property. One tip we can give you is If you see a path leading somewhere, take it, you never know what you may find at the end of it. Also try to go up top on the hilly property in the beginning of your hike and work your way down to the lower parts as you do the hike. You can see the property and surrounding area better at the higher elevations and get a better feel on how the property is set up. We walk or jog at least five laps of the entire property with our seven australian shepherds every day so we are used to all the challenges the property presents but it will be interesting to see how normal people and dogs handle everything. If you or your dog are faint of heart or not in proper physical condition, we recommend that you reconsider doing the property. You may need more than one hour to go over the whole thing with your dog so bring a snack with you and enjoy it while sitting at the picnic table by the pond. All we ask is that you maintain the cleanliness of the property as it should be spotless with regard to animal waste and trash except for an occasional present from our thoroughbred horse. Also, be safe in all that you and your dog do, navigating the property in its entirety can be a bit tricky at times and as always take proper precautions with tick preventatives for you and your dog, but most of all have some fun with your dog. One more thing, if you have young puppies or rescue dogs that have never experienced being released off leash in an open area like this, bring them and try it, they will have a great time and they will learn so much and gain confidence in what they are capable of doing physically and mentally. Let them go off leash and just follow them around as they explore the property on their terms. You will see a side of them you never knew they had.

Come enjoy a 3-4 fully fenced in area where your dog can run and play safely. There is a hill that's great for playing fetch and wearing a dog out as well as a large, flat field in the fenced in area at the bottom for wandering and sniffing.

My yard has a good sized run area with trees at each end where your dogs can get a nice run in to really stretch their legs.

We can have dog bags, a few tennis balls, and a pooped scooper ready! There is plenty of parking out front for you and your fur babies! We also have two 50ft leads attached to the ground, you could use those if you please! We could attach them, making 1 100ft leash! Situated 2 1/2 miles west of Taylorville IL along IL Rt 104. Large manicured front and side lawn, lots of trees for shade and investigating. Former horse riding arena area between barn and shop building. Includes 3 mature trees and mowed lawn. Arena feeds back into a 3-acre natural hay field. Hay tends to be high in May and September just ahead of mowing and bailing. Plenty of frolic room and Frisbee catch area.

So no worries of dog nappings or mistreatment. Water buckets for pets and home made doggie treats. I will do the poop scooping throughout the day. If doggie sitting is needed we can set an appointment to discuss specific needs and fees. If you stay with your pet total price is never more then $20. Per visit. This summer my yards going to the dogs. Either my son or I will always be on property as long as we have canine quests. And Hazel is here to get the fun started.
