Come walk 12 acres of mixed terrain, sweeping meadow to rock outcroppings. This is not fenced but there is an old 3 wire fence that outlines the property. We have 2 friendly dogs that wonder the property that we can have put away during your stay or leave out to have dogs to play with. We do have 5 goats that are fenced in and 3 cats that roam the property. Please pick up after your dogs.

Country Run's 58 Acre Private Ranch In Conifer

Country Run's Private Ranch is 58 acres located just shy of one mile off of Highway 285 off of Pleasant Park Road. An amazing location - a hidden gem. As you walk from the parking area along the path, the property opens up into a beautiful aspen forest with wooden benches and a large meadow. Half way down the meadow on the left (west) side is a small riparian area with Alder trees - the beginning of several spring fed creeks. The hillside on the east side of the property offers rock outcroppings, large rock benches and 360 views. Our dogs thoroughly enjoy their time here and we hope your dog does, too! Depending on the time of year, the spring fed area can be muddy, an old towel is recommended for the drive home. This property is perfect for dog walks, picnics and celebrations. Come enjoy a walk thru the woods on a private groomed trail/road. The trail is about a 1/2 mile down to a clear, open area to further enjoy, with a creek and watering hole. Much of the trail is shaded from the forest canopy. Once down by the creek, the temp is about 10 degrees cooler as well. A beautiful property with so much to sniff and explore! It is steep, so may not be for everyone. But the steepness plus large area and enriching environment left my dogs completely exhausted before the hour was even up. Beautiful views for the humans. Secure fence as long as your dog isn't a big jumper. Neighbor dogs were out (sweet looking malamutes), but they didn't really bark and there are two fences and a little space between, so wasn't at all a problem. If your dog is super reactive, plenty of space to be out of sight of that fence line. Make sure to bring water with you. Oh and the owner was very friendly and helpful when we ran into an issue with the lock. We will definitely be back!

Amazing property with hills and scenic views for the humans. As referenced in a different review there are two malamutes that are on the neighboring fence line that came to say hi. But were very mild and sweet. The property owner is very responsive and helpful.

Directions were very helpful for finding the gate to get in! The dogs were exhausted after one hour of walking up and down the mountain. The two Malamutes at the top of the hill in the next yard were visible but very quiet, there was plenty of room to run and explore away from them. We had a wonderful time!

This is a wonderful open area to take the pups. Lots to sniff and explore! Definitely wear good hiking shoes, as the terrain is quite steep. It’s a little tricky to find the entrance, so be sure to read the instructions carefully. There is no cell service here so you will not be able to contact the host if you need help finding the entrance.

After I located the correct entry, my dog had a great time. As mentioned in other posts the entry is a bit steep for humans. I brought my spikes just in case I needed them, but not today as the snow was soft in the areas where there was snow. The neighbor dogs were at their fence line to check out who the new dog was, but we didn’t wander in that direction. Very pretty spot. So happy that my dog could run around off leash and explore.

Just what my dogs needed. I did see a couple dogs through the fence. Bring water and poop bags with you, as I did not see access to them anywhere. Keep in mind the terrain is moderately steep.
