An excellent spot for the dogs to run. The goldenrod was out of a fairytale and the river was cool. The dogs had so much fun. Tim was so helpful, generous, and communicative. Can’t wait to return!

What a gem! A beautiful island with an open area for fetch and plenty of prairie type zones for sniffing and enrichment! There are some paths along the stream and some wonderful little stony beaches that our pups adored. A wonderful find with such a gracious host who shared detailed directions and put stepping stones across the creek for us. We are traveling but will go out of our way again to return here!!

Fantastic location with tons of field to run in and creek to explore. Location was quiet and secluded. The pups and humans alike loved exploring. We’ll definitely be back soon 😊

Be prepared to get wet at this awesome Sniffspot! There is something for every dog with a trail to run & sniff, a creek to splash in, and a meadow to lounge in the sun. Tim was lovely to talk to over chat. He provided perfect directions to & around the property. We had to leave early (due to a shoe breaking; no fault of the host) and were bummed we didn’t get more time there. We will be back :)

We had a great time! It was our dog’s first visit to water and she loved it. A fun little island to explore with plenty of mowed paths. The creek was easy to walk across, but it’s definitely not a spot for anyone with mobility issues. But I think that is pretty clear in the description. We will definitely be back!

It was awesome! The dogs loved it so so much. You WILL get wet crossing the stream so dress accordingly. When you cross the stream, head up the tree roots (kinda like a wonky steep staircase) to get to the rest of the trail. There’s a picnic table up there too. Overall, so much fun. Both my girls loved being off leash and able to have free roam of the place. My Pittie loved “swimming” in the creek and my mini Aussie just ran and ran and ran. So awesome. Can’t wait to come back!

Huge, secluded location with open areas, paths, brush, log piles, creek, etc. So many things to get into, sniff and climb on for an adventurous pup. Awesome communication from the host and very clear instructions to find the spot. Will most definitely be back !

We absolutely loved coming here! It is beautiful! Our dog is a water bug so she just wanted to stay in the water the whole time but there is plenty of land to roam and walk! Definitely will be coming back!

Would be more likely to bring my water lover next time as opposed to the one who needs to run and lose some weight, but was still a nice place to go! I’d like to try another visit when the water levels haven’t been so high so that the grass is a little lower 🙂

Are dog parks good for dogs?

It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.

Are dog parks safe?

While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks.
