Wow! Awesome SniffSpot and worth the little drive. Nice site away from traffic, HUGE area and also easy for pet parent to walk along (also accessible if needed to drive in a bit). Lots of open meadow with clover (no weeds), big downed trees to explore and a great little pond for a quick doggy dip/swim. Also further out is a tree line and woods to explore which we easily stayed away from to avoid potential for poison ivy. My dog ran so much he was tired and happy and ready to head back to the car. Met owner, John was very welcoming and helpful. FYI -they also have an AirBnB on site! This place is a gem!

This is a very beautiful and well-maintained meadow. The owner has mowed a lot of paths throughout the entire piece of land. The unmowed areas are still easy to walk in so you didn't have to stick to the paths if you didn't want to. The land is closer to "flat" than it is to being "hilly". There are only gently rolling, very small, elevation changes. The pond is a nice feature also and you can walk all around it. There were lots of places all throughout the land for my dog to explore. I have a Vizsla and her thing is running and exploring. We were there for an hour and she ran for 45 minutes, on and off, with the only breaks being when she got a scent of a rabbit, squirrel, etc. and had to "investigate" the area more closely. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and we plan to make this location a part of our regular rotation going forward.

My boys and I had a great time here! While we didn’t get in the pond this time (as I forgot towels), it has easy access and if you don’t want to swim with your pup, the pond is off the one side of the property and very avoidable if desired, so you don’t have to worry about your pup taking an unwarranted swim! The land is relatively flat and easily walkable. I’ve had multiple knee surgeries and the terrain was not straining to me. The walking paths are great, the areas that are not mowed are not very tall so you can walk through if desired!

This was a great place to take my pup! August is still working on gaining confidence to explore on his own without me encouraging him. We started off walking some of the mowed trails and then went back to his favorite part-the pond! By the time we left I was able to just sit and watch him explore and run around. The land is beautiful and we will be back!

Host is very friendly and helpful. The pond is very clean and the meadow is amazing. If your dog has a decent recall the sections without fencing aren't a big deal.

We had a great visit to this spot! There was tons of room for my boy to run, play, and sniff. He also loved splashing in the pond and seeing some deer on the property!

Love to come here! The area is so fun for my dog and a great place for me to walk around and be able to see him as he runs and enjoys himself. It is especially good for big dogs because they can get a chance to run hard for a long distance, and around many interesting areas; lot's of sniffs to be had here! The pond is a big plus and my dog loves to jump in the pond, swim a minute, jump out then run around the path that circles it. This property is very well kept, and with the dog & owner in mind! Very much worth the trip, I come from Waukee to visit her regularly.
