Country Run's Private Ranch is 58 acres located just shy of one mile off of Highway 285 off of Pleasant Park Road. An amazing location - a hidden gem. As you walk from the parking area along the path, the property opens up into a beautiful aspen forest with wooden benches and a large meadow. Half way down the meadow on the left (west) side is a small riparian area with Alder trees - the beginning of several spring fed creeks. The hillside on the east side of the property offers rock outcroppings, large rock benches and 360 views. Our dogs thoroughly enjoy their time here and we hope your dog does, too! Depending on the time of year, the spring fed area can be muddy, an old towel is recommended for the drive home. This property is perfect for dog walks, picnics and celebrations. Had another wonderful time at this beautiful Sniffspot! So many wildflowers blooming. May have almost caught a chipmunk 😅 but enjoyed exploring the meadow, water hole, and wooded area. We did hear dogs barking this time on our way back to the car - it looked like there is a fenced area above the path to the meadow where a couple dogs were barking. Startled us at first but saw that they were fenced in.

Oh my goodness! The girls had a grand time exploring and plain old frolicking in the meadow! They enjoyed the shade by the wooded area and parkouring by the rocks! My hippo Hazel loved the dip in the pond followed by intense zoomies and both dogs “self-cleaned” by the time we walked back to the car. Thank you for sharing this beautiful spot with us!

The best hidden gem! The small lake was a big hit and all the wildflowers make it a beautiful trip! Be aware of occasional wildlife - saw two deer on our walk back to the car. My dogs were exhausted and completely unaware after having played for an hour. Absolutely will be back!

Your place is absolutely beautiful! I enjoyed it as much as my dogs did! The lesson I learned is do not forget your doggy poo bags in your car. In all the excitement I left them, it is quite a walk back to the car to get them! My boys loved this space. I felt safe. I felt they were safe too. I will certainly book this spot again. We had another nice time at this beautiful Sniffspot! Still a lot of wildflowers, and can’t wait for the aspens to change! We did see either an elk or moose, at first near the water hole/pond (and then we moved away quickly) and saw two of them standing up in the woods. I was in panic mode when it was close and thought moose but they may have just been elk! Definitely be on the lookout and maybe keep a long line on just in case. Also there is construction on pleasant park rd, so recommend avoiding using deer creek rd/pleasant park rd even if Google tells you its faster 🤦‍♀️ We had to stop for 10-15 min near the construction and were behind several large very slow construction vehicles on a good portion of the road so arrived late.

We had a great time with our pups! We took the trail through the meadow. Our dogs enjoyed being off-leash and running through the open field. There are some large flat rocks near the tree line that made for a perfect place to sit and take in the beautiful scenery and enjoy the nice weather. All of the signage and instructions are super easy to see and to follow. We will be back again!

Beautiful views and good sniffs! I recommend wearing sturdy boots, tall socks, and long pants so you can fully explore the property. The trail ends at a certain point and then the meadow’s wildflowers take over. My dogs loved trying to get chipmunks, rolling around in the grasses, and gnawing on animal bones. Easy to find and clear parking/arrival instructions!

Our dog really enjoyed exploring, sniffing, and zooming around. She even swam for the first time ever in the little pond! We had the best time here and will definitely be back. *Be sure to wear long pants and hiking boots. We did see wildlife, so make sure to have a leash if needed. Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot hiking trail at the same time as me?

Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
