Ruff 'n Rugged 40 Acre Unfenced Private Dog Park In Calhan
Ruff 'n Rugged's 40 acre dog park is perfect for high drive, high energy dogs. It has a neatly mowed area of approximately 2 acres, a mowed, well marked trail which is about 1/2 mile long, with the remainder of the area in native grasses and vegetation. On any visit you may see cottontail rabbits, jack rabbits, pronghorn antelope and other wildlife native to this area. The parking area is a good distance from the entrance so you can unload and load your dogs safely without having to worry about traffic. We have a great view of Pikes Peak, well away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Quiet, peaceful & relaxing. You will enjoy your visit just as much as your dogs.

Frank's Place - 5 Acres of Play Space
Trails and open spaces, rest spots with water/bowls, great views. Parking is inside the fenced area, so easier to load and unload excited pups. Toys also available for play time. 8/16/2025: We’ve just mowed down a thistle patch near the driveway. Rocks and tarps are in place for root “solarization” over the next few weeks. ✅ 100% pet-safe and chemical-free 🐶 Dogs are still welcome to sniff, climb, and roam as usual!

The Oregon Trail (Dog trail by Sedalia, CO)
Important Rural Property Disclosure This Sniffspot is a 30-acre, unfenced rural mountain property in Colorado with natural, uneven terrain. Wildlife—including bears, mountain lions, coyotes, elk, and deer—may be present at any time. Because the property is unfenced, neighboring or stray dogs may occasionally wander across property boundaries and are not controlled by the host. Most guests are repeat visitors who value the open, natural setting and freedom it provides. However, if you require a fully fenced, isolated, or urban-style environment, this location may not be suitable. Please also note that the small “poochie pond” is drained during winter months for safety, though the stream flows year-round. Come enjoy a walk thru the woods on a private groomed trail/road. The trail is about a 1/2 mile down to a clear, open area to further enjoy, with a creek and watering hole. Much of the trail is shaded from the forest canopy. Once down by the creek, the temp is about 10 degrees cooler as well. The boundaries of the "spot" are the county road on the top side and the creek on the bottom side. *We require a completed Sniffspot profile with details and pictures of your dog(s) to confirm our guests. *To keep us and all our neighbors safe, NO SMOKING of any kind, for any reason, NO EXCEPTIONS is allowed on property. ***winter months the splash area is drained, for safety. However the stream is year round
