55This was our first time visiting and we will definitely be back. Backyard was a little muddy but that’s nothing a towel for the paws can’t fix. There was lots of toys, treats, water for our pup to enjoy! Sarah D.

55Lucy had an absolute blast! Heather and Michael's yard is exactly as pictured/described. A helpful parking sign let me know I was in the right place. They had thoughtfully left water out in a bowl and had lots of toys to play with and even a basket of goodies! Sunscreen, bug spray, and dog treats were such a nice bonus.
My dog Lucy is very reactive and she did get to barking a few times (sorry!!). Lucy could sense the dog two yards away and made her voice heard (neighbors yard is fully fenced and we couldn't see the dog). She also barked when a car parked in the alley- so if your dog is reactive they may react to these things too. These were minor and I was able to redirect Lucy and get her quiet very quickly.
The yard is huge and decorated very nicely- twinkle lights and lounge chairs just make for a nice vibe. Lucy had plenty of room to run zoomies and we got a nice game of fetch in. Thanks so much for having us! We will definitely return :) Colleen D.

55Beautiful, big flat yard with lots of run space for my little dog. There are plenty of chairs for a dog’s human and a good mix of sun and shade. This was our first visit so Betty spent more time being curious than chasing balls. Overall, very comfortable and inviting. Margaretta R.

Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 97% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Greater Landover area are 5 stars.
