Enjoy a beautiful walk on a network of trails that traverse rolling hills in and out of the forest. At the back of the property, you will enjoy some of the best and most private scenery in Oakland County. As summer turns to fall there are a lot fewer bugs and beautiful color changes. Some trees are changing already. Please stay on the cleared paths on the West side and South portion of the property due to work being done on other sections. There are wooden arrow signs that help you navigate to the back of the property and back to the parking area. Thank you. (We are currently expanding and connecting the trails, as well as clearing the views to the lake and river, so watch for some nice additions in the future.)

Welcome! We are working hard to make our peaceful, quiet 12 acres into a beautiful park. You are welcome at any time, day or night, to walk, run, bike, ski or snowshoe with your dogs. We no longer have any pets-- no more dogs, horses, chickens, or other livestock. We are often visited by deer and groundhogs. Although we have 12 acres, the house and barn are in the middle of it, so you may see the house from many areas during your visit. I was tempted to give a low rating because I want this spot available only for myself! This is a great location with a very gracious host. Part of the trail does back up against the neighboring disc golf course, so I would not recommend this for dogs who may be human reactive, but even so, this is only a small portion of the trail and the players we saw on the other side did not bother us. I do recommend wearing hiking boots and be prepared for your pups to come home dirty and happy! Overall, this was a wonderful experience and we are likely to be back in the near future.

This sniff spot was amazing. My pup was pedal to the metal. I booked 2 hours but she started getting tired after about 40 minutes, so we stayed an hour. As soon as she spotted the pond a short bit up the main trail that was where she spent most of her time. The area is very nice and the trails are great. I thought I was lost and got off track since I seemed very close to a disc golf course to the west, but Matt confirmed I was on the right track. Wear hiking or muck boots, they will get muddy. Bring a towel for your dog even if they don’t go in the water. My dog is very tired, happy, wet, and dirty. She had a great time. I will book this spot again.

Are dog fields safe?

If you are looking for an adventure, but also looking for safety, Sniffspot dog fields are a great option. What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?

We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?

No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
