55Was super excited to explore this spot! My bf and I have a fear reactive malinois/gsd so having pure privacy was bliss! Our pup loved trying out the stream, playing fetch by the trails and eating most of the plants in sight! Christine had bug spray, poop bags, treats and more accessible for us to use. Will definitely come back again and explore more!Mikaela R.

55Such a great time! The area was clean and full of land for acres. My dog, Shiloh, had the biggest smile on his face the whole time. Thank you for allowing us to bring our fur babies here for a chance at stretching their legs and having some fun. We will 100% be back!😁
PS: I didn’t get any pictures of him there, only videos but this picture is the aftermath! He was pooped!!!Rhyle M.

55This spot is so much fun! You’ll get an entire forest to yourself, with so much to sniff and so much space to run around (and grass to eat if your pup likes that 🤣). The road is clearly marked—follow the driveway, park, and walk to a wooden platform. Great spot!Sarah P.

55This is a wonderful spot for you to sit and take it easy while your dog runs around the woods! Nala had a blast and was so tired after! It was a joy to see her be free. :) Christine was very kind and a pleasure to connect with. :) We heard a dog barking in the distance towards the end of out two hours, otherwise it was perfectly quiet. My dog is reactive and she didn’t try to run towards the barking because it was far away enough, but good to know if your dog is highly reactive and tries to run towards barking. We are so grateful for our time in the woods! Brooke N.

55Fantastic time!! The space was perfect for our two labs to explore the creek and woods throughout the property:)
The deck was a lovely place to set up our extra chairs and leave our stuff while we explored- the trash can and bin of extras were a nice touch of convenience.
Will gladly come back here again!!Abigail W.

55My boy, Isak, is dog reactive so it was so nice to be able to peacefully explore the woods without having to be concerned about an exit strategy if we came upon another dog. This spot is wonderfully shaded and has plenty of fun things for your dog to climb on and sniff! The humans should definitely plan to wear closed toe shoes, and if you plan to venture deeper in into the woods, long pants since some of the underbrush is scratchy. We are definitely looking forward to a return visit!Lindsay J.

55The dogs had an amazing time running, exploring, and sniffing to their heart’s content! This was a beautiful, heavily wooded area (which we loved), it just was not very easy to traverse, so be prepared with hiking boots, etc. That didn’t stop our pups who loved the challenge! We weren’t able to find any trails, but perhaps we were in the wrong area. There was tons of land, creeks, and fun things for the pups to enjoy. Communication was great as well! We can’t wait to come back!Allison C.

FAQ about our Hopewell Junction dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 97% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Hopewell Junction area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 319 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 44 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
