A quiet 20 acre ranch with options galore! We have a fully stocked pond if you want to fish while your dog plays or swims! Meander through the back 10 acres which is open pasture, we are building an obstacle course up front (while it’s for horses, doggos are welcome to use it too!), need a fully fenced in area? No problem, our backyard is made for dogs and is totally enclosed! Need somewhere indoors if weather is crummy? We also have an indoor riding arena to use if lessons and training aren’t in session. We are just across the street from Twin Creek Metropark if you want your excursion to continue!

Welcome to 8 Pines Farm! Purchased in November of 2024 from the family of Buddy Barnes, our family is giving it a facelift and will be welcoming you in the spring of ‘25. Currently, we have been (before the winter storms) fixing the four plank horse fence that surrounds the farm. Previously there was extensive wind damage and many of the neighbor’s trees fell on our fence in spots. The neighbor’s horses were able to get through and they stayed awhile. We’ve got them back over to their home and they’re glad to be-although they miss the good grass. There are horses on both sides and way in the back. All the horses have been friendly-my own dogs have approached them and they have been fine. Note* my dogs are NOT horse people. Within the 10 acres we have a small pasture next to the barn for the chickens. They are enclosed in a fence so nothing can get in or out. You can request that I put them up for the duration of your visit. They are able to go in the barn and in their coop/run. As of January we have three hens. There is a barn cat that we inherited. (Reba) She is wild and mostly feral. She stays away from my dogs. All the fields are available to run except the chicken area which is fenced and has signs. The pool (tentatively-we haven’t had the cover off since we purchased it) opens in May! Dogs and people are welcome.

Great for small dogs but my big dog plays outside for hours on end. Room to run, sniff, play, leap, and relax. Shaded trees, excellent bird watching, minimal distractions and safe. For two legged guests there's two entrances, two firepits, seating for 7, patio heater, outdoor television, hammock and hammock swing chairs. Snacks and water provided for ALL guests. But we all get along and we are always on our best behavior. They love attention as much as they can get. It's usually pretty quiet back here and it's real nice by the creek even with all the talk grass growing. Your welcome to come and check it out. As soon as you get a second away from ur destination we are the very first house on the left the property goes on back. I would be happy to guide you and show you around.

The trails are immaculately groomed, and offer a variety of terrain for our doggie explore--grass, leaves, dirt, deer paths, bushes, trees, sticks--all of the nature. The open field was perfect for taking a break and tossing a ball. There's a lovely bench next to the massive oak tree that overlooks the ravine. We booked for 3 hours, and ended at just over 2 hours before our boy tuckered out. We hadn't even visited the creek yet! We will be booking again and starting with the creek. The drive there was easy and scenic with hilly countryside and historic homes. Parking was also easy with clear access and ample turn around space. Overall the host has a spectacular property, and we are so glad they are gracious enough to share it with dog lovers.

This place is a gem! Lots of well-kept trails for endless exploring - my two dogs had a blast. Beautiful and very peaceful property. Host was excellent - left out water and treats, and even offered last minute flexibility on the timing of our visit to work around rainy weather. We will definitely be back!

What a wonderful property! Easy to find and convenient parking. Perfect amount of trails for an hour’s walkabout. Lots of open space to throw a ball around also. Water and treats were available as well! My dog had the best time. We will 100% be back.

Great spot. You can hear the dog inside but it’s otherwise very private. The host was great and left out cookies and water for the pups. We’ll definitely come back. It would be great in the summer

My sister and I really appreciated the opportunity to experience the trails with four dogs. We quite enjoyed a leisurely walk while the dogs sniffed, zoomed, played and ran amuck. All the trails, including the shorter ones, are interconnected, ensuring there’s no chance of getting lost or losing a dog. It took us approximately an hour to complete the entire route. We found the location to be isolated but close to home. Can’t wait to go back and I look forward to experiencing changes in seasons.

This was a lovely spot! There are plenty of trails to explore with access to the creek by the road. The house is undergoing construction but the noise was minimal from the trails. The owner was nice enough to leave water and biscuits for the pups!
