Welcome to 8 Pines Farm! Purchased in November of 2024 from the family of Buddy Barnes, our family is giving it a facelift and will be welcoming you in the spring of ‘25. Currently, we have been (before the winter storms) fixing the four plank horse fence that surrounds the farm. Previously there was extensive wind damage and many of the neighbor’s trees fell on our fence in spots. The neighbor’s horses were able to get through and they stayed awhile. We’ve got them back over to their home and they’re glad to be-although they miss the good grass. There are horses on both sides and way in the back. All the horses have been friendly-my own dogs have approached them and they have been fine. Note* my dogs are NOT horse people. Within the 10 acres we have a small pasture next to the barn for the chickens. They are enclosed in a fence so nothing can get in or out. You can request that I put them up for the duration of your visit. They are able to go in the barn and in their coop/run. As of January we have three hens. There is a barn cat that we inherited. (Reba) She is wild and mostly feral. She stays away from my dogs. All the fields are available to run except the chicken area which is fenced and has signs. The pool (tentatively-we haven’t had the cover off since we purchased it) opens in May! Dogs and people are welcome.

This was an awesome fenced in field for my dogs to run around! There were poop bags available, agility equipment, plenty of seating, water, and a kiddie pool that helped cool my dogs down. Would definitely come back again!

Amazing open space and obstacles to keep the dogs entertained. Just the perfect spot to spend the afternoon. Doggies were so wore out they had a great time! The Spot was clean and Host was very responsive and polite.

Great facility and family friendly. We used this spot while on vacation with our pointer Sunny who ran circles on this safe enclosed property. The dog pools were also great since it was a hot day for both dogs and kids🐶

This is a fun spot! I hoped our zoomy girl would enjoy the agility course but it was hot and she spent the whole time happily sniffing everything, including all the wildflowers. She had never seen so much space where she could run and explore. She is nervous about balls and water but if your dog likes either, there were clean pools and lots of balls. It was also easy to pull in and close the gate behind before taking our dog out, so it felt very secure.

The field is large and there is agility equipment which was fun to use. There is water and pools for dogs to cool off in. The drive to the field is lovely. There were dogs and horses visible from the field. We went on a hot day but there was an area of shade with seating. We took two dogs, a golden doodle and a coon hound. Our only issue was that there were many plants with small burrs. The coonhound was fine but the doodle was covered. So that’s just something to consider at this time of year.

This spot has lots of fun agility obstacles, as well as two kiddie pools with fresh water for dogs to enjoy. Along with a cooler full of toys. I stopped while roadtripping for my dog to run around a bit. I ended up there at the hottest part of the day, and there's not a ton of shade, but my dog still had fun! We'd stop again if we're ever back in the area. The location was easy to find and all directions were clear.

Always a wonderful time at this sniffspot! The mowed walkways mixed with the tall grass was pure bliss for my dog who loves to sniff and track. The host was very attentive to the property, and was kind enough to change the pool water in-between bookings so my dog had fresh cold water. We love this spot, highly recommend!!

We had a great visit to the farm! My German shepherd mix loved getting to run the length of the spot and darting through the bushy area next to the pools. She was initially a little spooked by the horses in the neighboring field but she's a scaredy cat. We'd probably visit again when it's a little cooler outside as there's not a *ton* of shade and I have my toddler in tow. Lovely spot, very nice hosts.
