55My dog loved the trails, the creek, and the enclosed pig. Neither one barked! Emily was amazing! She quickly responded to messages. She also provided a towel, water (in a jug as well as bowl, flee and tick repellent, and Sniffspot signs that helped me know we were in the right place. This was our first Sniffspot. Emily and her property were a wonderful introduction!Esther C.

55Hi there! Emily was really helpful and had great communication. The spot was as described. The water in the stream was pretty low when we visited and the lake was not suitable for swimming (both temporary issues) but there was plenty of space for the dogs to run and sniff. They were tired out by the end of the 1.5 hour time slot. We would go back, but we will likely wait until the lake issue is resolved. Emily did make us aware of that situation when we booked, which we appreciated. Brit C.

55Host was very friendly, communicative and thoughtful. There was Gatorade, water, a dog bowl and towels at the very first bench before beginning our trail. Nova loved being able to adventure here and just be free. Thank you so much! We’ll be back once our 2nd fur baby gets home and is vaccinated. ❤️❤️Genesis B.

55We had a great visit at Rupert. Very nice trails which they are expanding. Looking forward to visiting again to see the progress. Water levels were low in the creek so our pup got very muddy. Fortunately Emily left towels to wipe down before getting into the car. Loved seeing the farm animals Would definitely come back. Worth the 1hr drive for us. Amy P.

55Well worth the hour long drive! My pup and his friend had a blast walking around the clean property, swimming in the lake, and visiting some of the animals. Emily had towels out for us, water for the pups, and Gatorade. We added eggs to our stay and Emily had them ready for us in a cooler! Definitely will be coming again - thanks for a great day.Casey B.

55Awesome spot, exactly as described and the host is so sweet! Definitely not fenced but perfect for a dog who can be off leash. Once you pass the hosts house and small farm animal area you have a nice strip of woods to yourself, where your dog can run sniff roll and swim!Madelyn S.

55Our dogs had a blast here! We loved the private trail and the pond. They were so tired when we left. I really appreciated the towels that were left out since my one dog went completely under water :-) We live in the city and can't go to dog parks (reactivity) so we really appreciated this gem of a property! We hope to be back!Emily D.

FAQ about our Pittsgrove dog hiking trails
Are dog hiking trails safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. Our hiking trails tend to be outside the city, which lends to more privacy, but it is also important to follow typical hiking safety precautions, such as potentially having trail maps.
