55Great little yard. Fully fenced and host had lights up so I was able to see to find the yard at 8:00 p.m. lol But also sit and read a book without having to use my flashlight. Pups enjoy sniffing playing with the ball and just overall having a space for themselves. Host also has a great little porch with hammock and chairs. Definitely bringing the dogs back!Erin L.

55My 1 y o rescue Douglas loves to visit Cheryl’s Little Urban Oasis. He can sniff around off-leash and (consensually) wrestle with a playmate. Don’t let the size of the Oasis fool you— even though Douglas is 55+ lbs, he can get a lot of exercise this space. Thanks, Cheryl!Deborah C.

55Good spot for a dog to spend energy sniffing around, and running a little bit. Ours got home exhausted. =) We had a great time and plan on bringing our dog here at least once a week! Eduarda A.

55This was our first time using sniffspot and it was awesome. Cheryl was super responsive and her instructions were spot on. The entrance was at the end of the driveway on the right side of the house. The spot is exactly as described! The only sudden sound in case your doggo is reactive to it was a train passing by relatively close but that happened once in the time we were there. The fence had no openings and though I can see how a dog might get out it would take them a bit of effort so you should be able to stop them. Will most likely come again!Andrea M.

55The yard is as described/pictured & a great value! A bit small if you have a larger dog & are looking for space to run or play fetch, but still an able to play & get some good sniffs in. We’ll be back :)Ashley W.

55Exactly as described! Our pup could get over some of the fences so we kept him on a leash at some points, but nonetheless so grateful to have a spot in our neighborhood where he can use the bathroom and sniff without the stimulus of the city. We will certainly be back!Ally O.

FAQ about our Somerville dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 95% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Somerville area are 5 stars.
