Barry's private Dig Park is located in Vernon Center Ny on Rt 26. We have 2 acres of un fenced property for your best companion to run freely. Also we have a stream that is easily accessible to cool your pup off . Parking is in front of Barn if you would like a short walk to the play area. If it is not wet out side you are able to drive to the play area. There is a short trail that leads to the small 8 inch deep stream. We will have waste bins for gabage . We will also have a compost area where you be able to dispose of your pets waste. There is plenty of shade for your pups as well as we will be setting up tables and chairs from May 1st until October 31st. We look forward to your visit.

Nestled in a quaint neighborhood west of downtown Syracuse, this conveniently located, fully-fenced dog yard is a favorite among local pups! Your dog(s) can get their zoomies out while you relax under the gazebo or sit at the table. The mature and plentiful trees offer plenty of shade on sunny days. Digging is allowed in specific areas. There are lawn games available, a fire pit and wood for purchase. If you have any questions or special requests, we are flexible in our ability to accommodate! NOTE: ON HOLD UNTIL DEC 9 ( DUE TO HUNTING SEASON) Greetings! Our land is a mix of flat grass (think lawn), some long/short pasture, and the majority being heavy wooded forest area. You will enjoy some rustic logging trails up there (but please don’t expect a perfect state park-type path). The terrain can be steep to climb to the top depending on your skill level. Once you are at the “top” of the hill, there is “flat” land that you can hike (I’ve even jogged up there - slowly!). For those of you that like a challenge, besides our two pathways up the hill, we offer a very steep side of the hill to climb. One of the photos shows water – that is the case if there is a heavy rain (likely September/October) but please know we don’t always have a running stream. We do offer a hose and bucket to rinse your dog’s feet at the end of the stay. The photos with the leaves are from last year – this is what the property looks like in autumn. November starts getting cold. December will bring snow with some plowed areas. For winter, you and your dog can frolic in the snow and we can provide you with towels, wipes, whatever you may need to "clean off" before getting back in the car. With advance notice, we can provide coffee, tea, or cocoa. For accessibility: if you use a wheelchair, you can drive your car onto the land and use the flat part of the land if you can access grassy lawn. If there is interest, I can take your friendly dog up the hill to run around for a nominal fee. We are new to this so please ask questions. Consider this spot “forever wild” woods. It is incredibly calm and peaceful up on the hill. You can quietly listen to the woods or bring a radio and sing to your dog loudly. If you are not a climber, even playing fetch behind the barn is nice. Note: inside the barn is off limits. This is a working property and there are tools, tractors, and such that are not good for any animals. Please Remember: there are no fences and we have a state highway in front of our property. All the area that you would use would be set back an appropriate distance, but I want to be clear for everyone sake that there are no fences. If your dog does not come back when called, perhaps this spot isn’t the best for any off-leash activity. Wild Animals: There are deer in the woods (and some dogs love to chase deer!) so please keep that in mind as well. We have also seen rabbits and an occasional skunk, raccoon, fox, groundhogs, and even a porcupine once. We hear coyote sometimes but I have not seen any on our land. Central New York has been known to house bobcats, mountain lions, and bears among others, but I have yet to see them on our land as well. We do see bald eagles on occasion. Lastly, your reservation is for 90 minutes to allow for time to truly enjoy nature.

Hello - This area is unfenced but lawn and property are well maintained. Located in a quiet area of town. A long driveway creates privacy and an open field for dog play. Come and get your dog(s) some much needed mental and physical stimulation, it’s a great way to reward your dog(s) for being their wonderful selves - and honestly, it’s great for you too, because what’s more fun and de-stressing than watching your beloved dog(s) having the time of their lives running, jumping, wrestling, rolling, chasing, sniffing, splashing, swimming, playing and just overall having tons of doggy fun? I know that when my dogs are having fun, I can’t help but be happy too as I watch them do so.
