Such an amazing place. My dogs were so happy. If you’re worried about finding your car in time, do what I did and tack on an hour after the time you wanna spend on the actual trails. I pulled my rig up along the mowed grass “road” past the gravel and my dogs just hung out and we played a bit of fetch too. Though not too long cuz they were tired. But they gotta sniff some more and hear their barks echo.

I had no issues with the GPS (AT&T service), but I did take screenshots of the maps beforehand to be safe. At the beginning of the trail was a cute mailbox with granola bars inside! The trails were well marked. Even when I went a little off path, I looked at the ground and easily found colored flags to redirect me. There were maps at each trail junction with a large star to double check location. The trails I did in two hours were: Carter's, Jason's Switchback, Back of Baldy Hill, Cedar Glade, Mossy, and part of Logging Rd. For those thinking about going but not sure about being by yourself, you are never far from homes and roads even though it is super quiet. And you don't even have to go into the woods. There is a huge field where you park that you can explore. For those wondering about terrain, the trails were fairly easy to navigate; however, Jason's Switchback had the most elevation changes (medium difficulty, lots of fun!). We will be back! Julie L.

What an amazing day we had! The directions to get here were spot on. We came from Nashville and had no trouble finding the place at all. This is a beautiful area to take your dogs. We loved all the different trails through the woods, the fields of wildflowers, and the stream for the dogs to cool off in. So much thought and care has gone into this place. The trails are well maintained, there are a few cute painted mailboxes along the trail with treats, and there are different areas to sit in a chair or on a bench and enjoy the beauty and nature. Coming from the city, it was so nice to be able to enjoy nature and have the ability to allow my dogs to safely be off leash. They loved being able to run ahead and explore and then run back to me because I was much slower then they were. I can't wait to come back again! I highly recommend this place to anyone!

Our dog had the best time and we will definitely come back! We loved all the clearly marked trails and how almost all of our adventure was in shade - which will be even more helpful as summer comes! We’re so happy this Sniff Spot exists.

My dogs loved this area! We will be back at some point. So thankful to have hosts that provide areas like this for the dogs to roam free! Just a side note: If you have dogs reactive to other dogs, then go left on the trail when it branches off after the welcome station. Otherwise, there is a fenced area where you can see and hear other dogs. The hosts do make this known though.

Fabulous! My dog was sooo happy! I was provided GPS coordinates, as well as a detailed narrative of directions. No issue finding the place. The GPS coordinates led me straight there with Google maps. I’m thrilled to have this within driving distance!

The space was very thought out and the pleasantries were intentional, like maps and snacks. The trails were marked and arranged thoughtfully, too. Our Golden loved every minute of the hike and so did we.

Today was our second time here. We only got to use half our time slot because we were behind. (Pups outgrew their harnesses. Had to find replacements on the fly! 😆) But, still worth it, and so glad we made it! It was much needed after many weeks of crappy weather! I have three Great Dane puppies/toddlers…It is worth the drive to get away from trails with other dogs and people so we can be off leash and explore! Such a great way to practice recalls, and pack walking! The only thing I wish is that we could do the longer trail. But, we have to stay away because it opens to the owner’s house with their dogs, and a road… (They mark it on their laminated trail map- helpful so you can avoid if needed.) Other than that one little area, my dogs and I look forward to more time at this place!

Wow! What a great time! It had rained a lot so the trail was wet but well maintained and marked. Lots of checkpoints along the path. I wish I had booked 2 hrs so we didn’t need to stress (advice for first timers). My dog was so happy and so I was I. I hope to come back and share this experience with multiple people.

This was my first visit. Sydney and I hiked just short of 5 miles. Had a great time not too challenging but enough to get my heart pumping. Be aware there are deer in this area and if you have a dog subject to run them n alert. Trails well marked. I will come back

We had the best time! Well worth the drive from Nashville to enjoy a 68° February day! The trails are incredibly well marked and there are maps periodically to make sure you are on the right track. Host communicated everything we might need. Do take note of where their fenced dogs are on your route though. My dogs have pretty good recall and it caught us all off guard, even knowing they were coming up! All was well but just a heads up. We will definitely be back soon to finish the trails we didn’t get to and to spend some more time exploring. Thank you!

There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks.
