Our SniffSpot Play Yard is fully fenced in with a 6ft tall wooden privacy fence. We have 19 wooded acres with our boarding facility being located at the South end of our property, the owners personal residence in the middle and our private SniffSpot play yard at the North end of our property. We do have a nice walking trail that meanders through our property but please be aware that our Playful Pups Retreat Staff may be walking overnight boarding dogs on the trail during our business hours. There is a container with a few toys to play with inside the SniffSpot yard but we do suggest bringing your own toys. Please bring poop bags and clean up after your pet. Please take bags of poop with you or stop at Playful Pups and dispose of it in one of our outdoor trash receptacles. FOR NOISE SENSITIVE DOGS! PLEASE BE AWARE WE DO HAVE A GUN CLUB NOT FAR FROM THIS PLAY YARD. DEPENDING ON THE DAY THERE MAY BE GUNFIRE. 0.5 acre fully fenced in yard in the Hanover Borough. Relax by the fire pit under the lights or in the shade on our ample seating arrangements while your pup or pups run around the yard. Lawn is well maintained and poop is cleaned up regularly using provided poop bags for deposit. Separate gate and private back parking with alley access lends itself to a private yard that any pup would enjoy, along with private parking for the pup “paw-ents.” Water bowls are provided and can be filled using the back tap. As a reminder, we require all guests to clean up before they leave. If you don’t want to clean up, we offer an extra called “Poop Patrol”, you can add this on to your visit and we will clean up for you. If we continue to have issues with poop not getting cleaned up, we will need to increase the price of our spot to compensate us for the additional time we have to spend cleaning up between visits. We don’t want to have to do this, so please be respectful and clean up the 💩 📍I believe the neighbors behind us got a new dog and they like to bark. Our fences do not touch, there is probably 10 feet of distance between our fences so there is no worries about fighting through the fence, but you may hear barking sometimes. They will eventually bring the dog in when the barking becomes too much 📍We laid some hay in and around the play area to help with the mud and protect the grass. 📍 We replaced the blue picnic table that was under the canopy with a couch and chair. There is lots of space for your dog(s) to run, and ample room to play fetch. There is plenty of outdoor seating to relax while you watch your dog(s) play and explore. The back right corner of the yard has a play area with a playhouse, caterpillar tunnel, tire tunnel, climbing cube, climbing dome, car bed, the biggest tire you’ve ever seen, and hammock. We also have a bunch of dog toys, including several herding balls of various sizes. Part of our yard is shady and part is sunny. You get the best of both worlds. The pool is completely fenced off from the rest off the yard. You don’t have to worry about your dog(s) accidentally falling in. Our yard is handicap accessible. There are no stairs to climb. The entrance to the backyard is a flat grassy area. The gate leading to the back yard is wide enough for a wheelchair or power chair. The yard has a slight incline, but there are no major obstacles that would prevent a wheelchair from moving around. We are located in Sykesville, MD which is about 30 mins from Baltimore and Columbia. 15 minutes from Owings Mills, Ellicott City, and Westminster.

Beautiful back yard that has adult pool doggie pool. A pond. Shade area with raised dog beds. Sprinklers and a hose. Adults can relax with our outback bar/patio that has a fire pit. We dogs. And the dogs love it our backyard.
