Faith and Hope Foundation was born based on mutual love of saving dogs from South Texas from euthanasia lists and the streets. Three individual rescuers kept getting in each others way and one night decided they could help more animals collectively and formed as a rescue in May of 2016. Through this effort Faith and Hope Foundation was born after many trials and errors and just pushing forward to become a 501(c)(3) in January 2017. We are a foster based organization and our fosters are the heart of this organization. We take in the injured, the abandoned, the ones with no hope or love and socialize them until they are ready to be adopted. We then adopt and transport to out of state areas where there are strong spay, neuter, and leash laws. Places that don’t have the same over-population like we do. We grew very quickly with such a great need in south Texas that we have adopted over 500 animals since we began this journey. It is truly a labor of love. We are also growing our volunteers to help our mission. Please visit our “Ways you can help” tab to learn more information about volunteer roles. Thank you for visiting our website. We are “Faith and Hope”.

Justice for Samson Animal Rescue, a 501(c)3 rescue organization, is committed to more than just saving dogs. Our goal is to educate the community on the importance of vetting, spay/neuter and micro-chipping their pet. We aim to help the public with low cost spay/neuter. Our belief is that through education and low cost clinics, we can help decrease the number of pets in shelters and wandering the streets. Justice for Samson, a dedicated animal welfare rescue with a special focus on breeds affected by Breed-Specific Legislation (BSL). Our mission is to provide a safe and loving environment for all animals, regardless of their breed, while working tirelessly to reduce the stray dog population through education and advocacy. As many of you know, BSL breeds such as Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, and Dobermans often face unjust discrimination and limited adoption opportunities. These loving and loyal dogs are frequently misunderstood, leading to overcrowded shelters and, tragically, euthanasia. Our goal is to change this narrative and give every dog a chance at a happy, healthy life. Why We Need Your Help Currently, our facilities are limited, and we are struggling to meet the growing demand for our services. We want to expand and create a state-of-the-art facility that can accommodate more animals and provide them with the care they deserve. Our vision includes: 1. Spacious Kennels and Play Areas: To ensure each dog has enough space to exercise and socialize, promoting their physical and mental well-being. 2. Medical and Rehabilitation Center: To offer on-site veterinary care, rehabilitation for injured animals, and a quarantine area for sick pets. 3. Training and Enrichment Programs: To help rehabilitate dogs with behavioral issues, making them more adoptable and better companions. 4. Community Education and Outreach: To educate the public on responsible pet ownership, the importance of spaying/neutering, and dispelling myths about BSL breeds.

Peewee’s Pet Adoption World and Sanctuary was established in 1995. Peewee’s Animal Shelter is located at 1307 Saratoga and has been in operations since May, 1997. Peewee’s presently houses over 300 animals, including dogs, puppies, pigs, goats, and other barn animals. Peewee’s relies on donations only for its operation. We are a 501.c3 nonprofit no-kill animal shelter. Shelter operations are accomplished strictly by donations. Our biggest contributor, HEB Food Stores, donates all the pet food we need. Peewee’s does not get any government, city, or federal funding. Peewee’s helps those animals no one else will – the sick and the stray. The volunteers at Peewee’s work tirelessly to rehabilitate poor orphaned pets in the hopes that they will find new, loving homes. The animals are spayed/neutered, given regular heartworm preventative, and are on flea & tick prevention and medications as needed, We take dogs from a 100 mile radius around us, many of which come from kill shelters. We get them well, treat them for heartworms and whatever else ails them, get them spayed, neutered vaccinated and socialized. Our dogs are adopted out through volunteer adoption coordinators in the East Coast and Canada where we send 50 to 80 at a time. We place an average of 200-300 unwanted South Texas pets each month into wonderful homes in the East Coast, Canada, as well as a few in the Woodlands. Their applications are very strict, long, and verified, so that all the animals are placed in wonderful, loving, forever homes.

The Humane Society & Adoption Center of Rockport-Fulton (HSAC) was established in a small storefront on Hwy 35 in 1988. Now located on 3 ½ acres of wooded grounds, the “House of Hope” Shelter building was constructed in 2013. It is a gem on the Texas coast, where a small staff and volunteers lovingly care for animals that are lost or abandoned. Our Shelter is unique, with 15 fenced yards for dogs to play and run freely, 3 cattery rooms adjoined by covered screened porches, an indoor kennel room for small dogs/puppies, bathing/grooming/ laundry area, medical supply room and a front desk where volunteers welcome visitors and assist with adoptions. From the moment you enter the grounds, the facility reflects our commitment to provide an exceptional Shelter environment until animals are adopted and go to their “forever” home. We accomplish our mission with the help of a small professional staff, a number of passionate volunteers and funding from private donations and grants. Currently we can accommodate 54 dogs and a similar number of cats. Our expenses include the operation of our building and grounds, a lean payroll and the necessary funds for veterinary care, food, bedding and other necessities. Our Shelter offers many opportunities to support us, with large or small contributions of time or money. Some of the ways to be a part of our HSAC family include: • Become an HSAC member...see your dues at work! • Volunteer your time...be a part of our shelter family! • Foster a pet in need...enjoy some company for a while! • Donate supplies or funds...check out our wishlist! • Shop using our Amazon Smile link...your shopping benefits us! • Endowment Fund/Planned Giving...be a guardian of our future!

However, in April of 1998, we began operating out of our current facility on Cabaniss Parkway, which was generously donated to us by Tom and Cora Keeler. Since our founding, we have been dedicated to providing the best care possible to the animals under our roof, as well as the animals in our community. We strive to save as many lives as possible by tagging from local euthanasia lists, transporting animals throughout the country, and placing pets into loving homes. We strive to promote responsible pet parenting and the humane treatment of all animals through our Education and Outreach Program. As we continue to rapidly grow, we aim to be the safety net for our community and their pets. We look forward to working with the public to keep pets happy, healthy, and in their homes – where they belong.

Having grown up in busy Santa Barbara, Jen, an introvert from an early age, would seek out solitude and serenity away from tourists attractions and droves of people visiting from elsewhere. “My grandparents own 60 acres about a 30 minute drive from here, and I grew up spending every summer and every holiday visiting them on the ranch,” Jen explained. “In Santa Barbara, we wouldn't go to the beach on the weekend because that's where everybody was, so you'd find places off the beaten path where the tourists weren't. For me, the ranch was just my happy place.”
