Welcome! We are working hard to make our peaceful, quiet 12 acres into a beautiful park. You are welcome at any time, day or night, to walk, run, bike, ski or snowshoe with your dogs. We no longer have any pets-- no more dogs, horses, chickens, or other livestock. We are often visited by deer and groundhogs. Although we have 12 acres, the house and barn are in the middle of it, so you may see the house from many areas during your visit. Usually, we are working inside or we are away and we keep most of the curtains closed. We may use the driveway or receive a delivery. Future plans include clearing the West trails, planting more evergreens, and making an indoor play space in the barn. Our park will continue to improve -- it is a work in progress! We took lots of pictures and will continue to add them. We want you to know as much as possible about the site before you come here for your visit. We welcome your suggestions on how to improve.

I live out in the country. In a separate fenced in area I have chickens, ducks, and geese. In a 6’ huge area I also have dogs. I put them in crates when I know someone is bringing their dogs. People could go into that huge 6’ fencing area. The problem would be they could step into my dogs poop. This huge area I’m letting people use is very wide and long. Not that pretty. The very back only has 4’ fencing. All the rest has 5’ fencing. I love it for just letting medium and small dogs run. Could be ok for large dogs as long as they are not jumpers. If my standard poodle ever wanted to get out of that area, she could. Never out of the six foot area. It is not what I have up there.

As the weather is changing and days are getting shorter please book no later than 5pm. 🐶 If you are looking for a quiet and secluded place for your fur babies to play you have found the right spot. This is a great spot for reactive dogs and non socials as I am situated on 5 acres and 2 of the acres are fully fenced for the SniffSpot. My neighbors are very spaced out as well, so u have a very quiet visit. Also a great spot for training ( we have added agility equipment, we have 2 huge tires and an A Frame ladder). Connection information will be sent during your booking. Need to charge your phone or use an outlet? Feel free to plug-in to our outdoor receptacles. Need to run your dog at night? Not a problem! The yard is so beautiful and well-suited for enrichment! So many different plants and areas to explore and sniff! I did a lap before letting my dog loose and the fencing was secure and I didn’t see any food or immediately hazardous stuff my dog could eat or get into. There was plenty of space for zoomies too, though my dog didn’t fully let loose this time—we plan to come back! It’s also really lovely for humans to spend time in, my siblings and I had fun following our dog around and enjoying the nature. I recommend having some sort of insect repellent though!

Great space and we’d love to visit again! The pictures and details were an accurate representation of the yard. It was easy to find and clear directions were provided to get into the spot via an external gate. The yard is fully and securely fenced all around, and there are many trees/woods around the property. The yard was completely clean. There were a few different areas/features to keep an eye on if you have mischievous dogs like me… for example, some thicker grass/plants in a few spots, a small wood pile (well organized and off the ground), and garden areas (fenced off). These weren’t an issue, even for my small (10 pound) dogs still in training to learn recall and stay out of trouble. We had a nice, quiet morning playing fetch and running around. The huge oak tree behind the property is impressive and the calming wind chime that sounded like distant bells was also a great touch. It was all very relaxing for me and very fun for the dogs. Thanks so much!!

Are small dog parks safe?

While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). We require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that owners sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. We also require that pet owners follow safety protocols around water features.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot park at the same time as me?

Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
