We have a 2 acre fenced pasture behind the house. The grass may be long, however, will be occasionally cut so shouldn’t be crazy. Your dog and shoes may get muddy after rainy days. Please plan ahead. The fenced area is entered on the right side of the property through swinging gates. Owners of small dogs may want to be careful near the gates as the openings are large enough for small dogs to get through.

We understand that some dogs may be reactive or require a bit more space, and we are happy to accommodate their needs. Our location offers plenty of room for your dog to explore and play without the worry of unexpected encounters. No immediate neighbors have dogs that share a fence with us. Occasionally, a dog in the distance may be outside near the southeast corner, but this is rare, ensuring a calm and enjoyable visit for your pet. A kiddie pool is available in the summer, but I will need to be notified in advance on whether or not you would like it filled. Two humans per dog are allowed unless arrangements are made with me in advance. Please note that the yard may be wet or muddy after rain or snow. Additionally, mole holes might be present in some areas (providing extra sniffing opportunities!) 😜 Additionally, our spot is conveniently located right by the B&O Trail, making it easy for you to warm up or cool down your visit with a walk. A recall is needed when ice is present on the pond** Enjoy a fully fenced (4 foot wire mesh livestock style fencing) run through mowed grass, NEW tall natural meadow (we are “rewilding” a portion of our yard to native plants), two short wooded trails and access to a large pond with dock. Dogs are welcome to swim—bring towels and be prepared for some mud if it’s been raining or you have a pond monster doggy. Woods have wonderful smells, my dogs sometimes find delightful things to roll in. A hose is available for use on warm days and there is a nearby Tractor Supply if your pup needs a spa treatment after their romp. We do have chickens on site and ask you not allow your dog to harass them as you enter and leave (chickens are in a separate fenced area and in a coop/run). My dogs will be in the house—some barking may happen on your arrival but they will not be loose. We had no trouble finding the house or accessing the yard. Yard was clean and had so much room for our dog to run. We didn’t hear or see any other dogs, but there were some chickens next door that our dog enjoyed watching. There was also a hose available for us to use and a nice picnic table area with a lounge chair on the patio for the humans to sit.

This was a fun experience! I didn't know what to expect from my pupper Enzo, since he has never really experienced off leash time. He was an escape artist as a puppy so we keep him leashed for safety. He was able to sniff and explore quite well and definitely got interested in the neighbor's chickens. The fence was tall and sturdy so good for keeping my crazy man contained. This spot is very convenient to 65 and we were able to stop at a little park on the way home for a mini hike.

Well kept lawn with some small wilder spots, fence works for small dogs. My pup wore himself out exploring. There was one small hole in the fence that tiny dogs might squish through, but that spot is easily fixed. There weren't many toys available so bring your own if your pup needs toys to play with.
