55Nice big horse pasture, as described, with a big electric horse fence as described. If your dogs are not well behaved, they can/will escape. My dogs obey boundaries (mostly). Mostly flat but a little bumpy, if that matters to you.
Emily was nice and very communicative. Definitely don't drive out into the pasture without a 4WD! The dips are marked with reflective posts, mind them. Dean R.

55Great spot! My dog loved running through the tall grasses. I liked how open things were because it gave her the opportunity to really explore and do her own thing. Adam Y.

55Great local spot! My dog loved to run, smell, and even meet a horse during her visit. The fence is taller is some places, so make sure your pup has good recall if they can fit under it. Site was easy to find, beautiful and Emily was really communicative and a great host! We will definitely be back!Katy R.

55We visited with our three pups who just loved this place! One of our pups is reactive and scared of just about everything under the sun. We were able to drive far enough from the barn that she didn’t feel bothered by the horses in the barn. She did look up from a distance over to them and the road but then went back to exploring. Our pups are a small breed, and though this is all fenced in, just be aware that small pups could potentially walk under the fence. We did hear kids playing from neighboring properties but not a big deal. We had two leashed (they would wander away if they could!) and one unleashed who stayed close. Lots of room to explore and some shade if you get warm. The owner had fresh water for the pups, which was greatly appreciated. We left with tired and happy pups! Thanks for a fun afternoon! Yia L.

55Beautiful property! We brought our pup to explore, and she loved it. As the post suggests, the horse fence wouldn’t keep all dogs contained (namely little dogs as it’s possible for them to slip right under). If your dog doesn’t have good recall or doesn’t stay close, you can keep them on a longer lead. Our dog stayed on a 20 foot lead and loved it. The horses may be visible, but you can go back further into the property if this is an issue for your dog. We will definitely return!Samantha K.

55It was great! Unfortunately my boxer ran under the fence but once we got him back we leashed him for the rest of our visit. We were able to allow our Frenchton to run free, he listens really well though. 😊 Private,

55We weren’t really sure what to expect initially, but it certainly didn’t disappoint! Emily was wonderful with communication with and was very helpful in giving us the information we needed. The pasture has some really pretty walking trails to take, there is a ton of room for pups to run, and it was very quiet, too. It was great to have a place for our dog to run without having to worry about him going too far. Even though this was our first Sniffspot location, we know we will definitely be back.Katie C.

55We really enjoyed our time here! Loved the big open area to let Kodi run around and explore. There were only a few spots that had tall grass/plants but we didn’t mind — Kodi actually loved sniffing around and running through these areas! Would definitely recommend as a spot to let your dog have fun! Nicole M.

55This was our first time using Sniffspot. Luna, my 4 year old neurotic White German Shepherd rescue had an absolute blast here at the Lone Tree Farm! There was plenty of space to run around and have fun. The owner was also incredibly nice and accommodating! The price was very reasonable.
While it was great for our needs, there might be two minor considerations for other potential guests:
(1) As I believe is mentioned by the owner, the outer fence is an electric fence (which was turned off for our visit). It is not enough of a barrier to physically prevent a small or medium dog from leaving, so that might be an issue for a dog with lesser training/impulse control. It wasn't an issue for us, though.
(2) The owner does have horses on the property, and with advance notification, she was very accommodating in making sure they stayed in the barn during our visit. However, this does mean that there were some horse droppings present on the grounds. It wasn't a huge amount, and pretty easy to walk around, but should be noted so people wear appropriate footwear, and can prevent dogs from rolling in it or whatever.
TL;DR: This Sniffspot is affordable and the owner is super nice. We loved our visit and definitely plan on going again. All in all these two quite minor concerns of fencing and horses/droppings didn't detract much from this picturesque farm. 4 3/4 out of 5 stars!

55The dogs I'm sitting loved the change of scenery and Kyle's backyard was totally a personal dog park for them! We enjoyed all the space to run around with the safety of the fence as well as being completely by ourselves. The only thing that got them going was the mail truck came by while we were there, haha, just our luck. They also absolutely loved the kiddie pool, so I'm glad we had the option to add it!
If your dog eats anything and everything, there was a pot on the ground to discard cigarette butts, so move it up before you release your pup. There were also small sticks in the firepit that I had to keep taking away for liability reasons, but overall it was a really great spot! Korah W.

FAQ about our Eau Claire dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 97% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Eau Claire area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 14 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 2 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
