55This sniffspot is an absolute wonderland for dogs! There’s fields, woods, creeks and a great little swimming hole. Our dogs have a blast running up and down the trails. Some of the trails are a little hilly so be prepared for that!Leah A.

55Cathy has such a beautiful property! We only explored a small piece of it but we had a great time. I took my dog reactive dog Winnie here for her Gotcha day from Pittsburgh. We walked on some trails, kayaked, attempted to get her to swim in the pond (she’s not a water dog but the pond is so nice and has a dock and diving board and toys), and played fetch in the open field. Was really nice to have off leash fun without the worry of other dogs approaching. If it wasn’t as far away I’d be back more! Highly recommend taking your dog(s) here, and even bring other family or friends along as it’s really enjoyable for people as well. Thanks again, Cathy! Olivia S.

55Cathy was super nice and met me before hand to explain the layout of their land. Alastair and I had a lot of fun. We were only there for about two hours. So we stuck to one place which was the pond. He’s never experienced the wilderness much so he was intrigued by the frogs moving. At the pond they had a dock with a diving board, so if you have dock divers, they’ll be in heaven. There were also some life vests. Anyway, I’m hoping to visit again soon!Tess C.

55Cathy's place is awesome! I have been here before with friends and have always had a good time. It was a nice rainy day in the 60s which is great for July. Our dogs enjoyed the pond and the trails. It is so nice to have a place to hike and let them run without having to worry about other people and/or their dogs.Alexis V.

55We took our puppy here for his first birthday. He is reactive to dogs and people and we had a wonderful time. It was very private and we didn't see anything to react to. The trails were a lot of fun to walk and it was a great first time off-leash hiking experience. The owner was very kind and gave us a handy map with useful tips for our first visit. Highly recommend!Fionna B.

55We stopped at the sniff spot on our way home from a scentwork trial to do some nice decompression Adventures and I'm so happy we did! The sniff spot and Cathy are fabulous! We couldn't be happier that we did a little detour.
We spent about 3 hours swimming in the pond, taking a few trails, running in The Big Field, and setting a couple scentwork hides in a novel environment. It was absolutely gorgeous and the pond was well kept and safe to get in!
Cathy let us know about the rain the prior day and even gave us some towels because we weren't prepared for the mud from the rain. She met us and gave us a map and directions to the sniffspot area of her property. She was a fabulous host!
Some of the trails were steep and slick from rain the night before making them a little dicey for me lol but they'd be steep but fine without rain (I also wasnt expecting the rain so wasn't in the BEST footwear for muddy hills--very slow descent and I stayed upright and not muddy lol lol).
We opted to drive up to the pond and park up there. Again with the rain the night before there were some muddy and soft spots on the way up and I put my xmode on in the car. I drive a AWD vehicle and made it up without any problems but I would not have attempted it without AWD. You could certainly walk up the hill without a problem, but I wasn't feeling like a workout after a scent trial the day before, I just wanted to decompress as well, haha!
There is no cell service in the area. We got a blip of cell service while driving to the spot on a road nearby and we actually had to stop on that road on the way back home to be able to get GPS maps up to wind our way home. This is really off the beaten path, but it was a gorgeous drive and although it's not close to my house, I'm definitely gonna make a day of it and come back again for a few hours every now and again!tena p.

FAQ about our Graysville dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 92% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Graysville area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 39 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 2 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
