Rent safe and private dog water parks and swimming pools hosted by locals in Hemet, California

This was our first time trying out sniffspot and we decided to visit Choice Avocados for our doggy sniffari adventure. It was an absolutely wonderful experience. The hosts are very friendly and thorough with providing detailed directions to the location. The stream trail was our favorite our pup loved running through the stream. It was his first time being able to explore off leash without having to worry about him running into any dogs. Which is a big relief for any dog owners who have reactive dogs. Overall, it was a great adventure for us and our pup. We'd definitely come back again!

We had an absolute blast! The creek is straight out of a fairytale. The directions are super helpful - we did get lost at first but texts from the hosts got us right back on track. Our pup had the best day ever! 10/10. We will come again!

What a beautiful and quiet place to walk your dog! We had a long drive from East County San Diego to get there but it was worth it to walk in such a peaceful place. Our dog has very high prey drive so we kept him on leash but he had a blast and tuckered out before our hour was even up. What a special place and so grateful to have opportunities for reactive dogs walk and be dogs and yet to not worry about running into other dogs. We would absolutely return.

Our dogs had a blast hiking on the trails and playing in the stream! We did an evening trip on a very hot day, which was perfect. Everything about this spot was awesome. The only drawback was our dog did find a rattlesnake behind a rock down y the water. Luckily it was sleeping and we saw it before she disturbed it, so all was well. The hosts had told us they'd never had anyone see a snake before, so I guess we were just lucky- but glad we were keeping the dogs close. Always a risk anywhere in CA!

we had a great time. my dogs were tired and content by the end of it. felt like time went by extremely fast, even though we got the two full hours. i would recommend having your dogs on a long lead if they don’t have great recall. (like i did with my doggos) the hike was a bit steeper than i anticipated. but definitely doable. wear shoes with great grip! the stream was nice and a great way to cool down. also, be sure to check in within arrival! alma sent her husband to look for us after not hearing back from us, assuming we got lost on the way! host is very kind 🙂

This spot was amazing! My senior pup loved it and had so much fun in the creek. Definitely get the additional creek hike it is worth it. Do want to note that the hike to the creek is quite steep in some places so make sure to bring good shoes. Also, if you have a dog that’s a flight risk bring a long line rather than letting them off leash- the spot is pretty secure, but I could see some dogs getting themselves into trouble if they weren’t used to being off lead. Definitely will be returning, my dog had the best day ever.

My husband and I had a wonderful time with our two dogters! This was their first off leash adventure, and we felt safe and protected. The hike wasn’t too long and there was plenty of shade. Our girls loved every second of playing in the stream! Would highly recommend taking your dogs here especially if your dogs are still a little reactive to other dogs. Alma and David made the adventure awesome!

This property is beautiful! We chose the creek hike and there’s seating, a swing over the creek, Hammock, and picnic table. We have a reactive dog so being able to take them here where they can enjoy nature and the water without having to worry about other dogs is so invaluable. We will definitely be back!

This was a wonderful experience. The hosts were really informative and organised and the hime and stream were very peaceful and beautiful. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone!

We had a blast! Alma was very responsive when we accidentally walked passed the first turn and she was able to quickly help us get back on the right path just via phone. We don’t normally let our dog off the leash but felt comfortable doing so at the creek. We had a blast and would definitely recommend :)

They were absolutely amazing! Very helpful with everything since we got lost a bit but their directions were very well written, I just can’t read 😂 The actual stream was super cold, to cool off after the incredibly scenic route up and down the path. Thank you so much for having us and we will definitely be back again!

OVERALL: we had a great experience, and our dog loved the adventure! We'd go back during a cooler month, pick an early time before the sun gets too hot, and book no less than 2 hours + the stream hike. // The hosts were so helpful and great at communicating. We booked the area for 2-hours and added on the stream hiking. They provided easy-to-follow instructions with images on how to get to the creek. I am not sure where we would have explored if we did not add on the stream hiking. I was imagining 20 acres with areas of open land for my dog to run, but we experienced long trails with wide walking paths (still great, just not what I imagined). Our dog is very curious so we keep him on a long leash, and I'm glad we did because in addition to some steep cliff edges along the walking path (which he would have likely tried to walk down if he saw/heard something that caught his attention), there were a couple of squirrels and lizards along our walking path and even little frogs by the creek. There is some shade as you walk/hike to the creek, but there is also lots of direct sun. We booked a 2-hour visit from 11am-1pm in August and would go again but not when it's so hot and likely during a cooler month/earlier time. It took about 15-20 minutes to get down to the creek, and I fell twice on my butt when going down the steep hills, mostly because my dog was on a leash slightly pulling, but I still wanted to share so that others know there are some steep areas. Once we got to the creek it was so peaceful and relaxing. There was plenty of shaded seating options, a picnic bench, hammock, and my dog loved exploring in the creek. We packed a lunch, ate by the creek, and relaxed there until it was time to go. Returning took about 20-25 minutes, and I agree with other reviews that while it's a relatively short hike, it's very steep in some parts and combined with the heat and sun, made some parts strenuous. I'd recommend hiking boots or walking shoes with good traction; we are in our late 30s and wore our old running shoes. This was our first SniffSpot, we loved how big of an area we were able to rent to ourselves and are very thankful it's available - we all enjoyed it and will be back!

This was my first Sniffspot and my dogs and I loved it. I booked two hours with the stream hike from 9:30-11:30am in August. It took us about 15-20 minutes to get to the stream and about 20-25 minutes to get back to the car. It was warm but it was much cooler by the stream. There were some steep points on the trail. I have a senior dog with a bad hind leg/hips but she made it up and down the trail just fine. I had my dogs leashed until we got to the stream. I strongly recommend wearing hiking or trail shoes for steep points on the trail and bringing sandals for the stream. I really appreciate how clean the area is. One of my dogs has a bad habit of eating foreign objects from the ground so it was nice not having to worry about that. There are no trash cans so I disposed our doggy bags at a nearby gas station. Next time, I'll bring some heavy duty sealed bags to collect everything and dispose at a later time (and to help with the smell in the car lol). I was worried about getting lost on the way there, but my Apple Maps was able to navigate me there even without service. The hosts also provided detailed directions to the trail and stream. They were easy to follow and super helpful. Overall, my dogs and I really enjoyed this place and we'll definitely be back.

This spot was the perfect location! Spent 1.5 hour there and didn’t see another soul, very private and remote - made it comfortable for us to off leash our pup. We ended up doing the Stream Trail last minute and Alma was a gracious host in communicating information and switches. For those with limited mobility, the Stream Trail is definitely a hike with some inclines and declines to navigate so bring a walking stick!

Our pack had an absolute blast here! They loved the stream and running up all the hills through the forest. Alma was very nice and super helpful! We really appreciated her helping us move all our stuff and pups to the stream! Beautiful sniffspot and tons of fun.

Greetings from Long Beach and yes, this spot is worth the trek! What an incredible gift this place is for us reactive pup guardians. As others have stated, yes to the Creek add on. Yes, there are steep parts and you need trail boots or shoes. In August, I was glad to be leaving at 11:30 instead of arriving because it was quite hot on the path with little shade but the creek is a delightfully cool and shady spot. For those mentioning the fee, we all get to determine what is valuable or “worth the price” for ourselves. I will tell you, though, that part of your investment is exceptional, exemplary customer service. The hosts work to insure you know where you are going with clear directions and photo markers they send ahead of time so you have them even without cell service. They insure you arrive and leave and as someone who went by herself with a reactive dog, that’s helpful. I was alone but not on my own. The hosts care for their property and it shows. Well worth the drive, time, and fees. Do yourself a favor. Treat yourself to two hours. You’ll be glad for the respite time with your pup. You get to be present and not looking for triggers while sitting along alongside a creek. There’s a lot we can’t do with our pups. But this, this-we get to do and we know not to take it for granted. Wow what a great day! Excellent communication and beautifully kept trail. We will definitely be back. Such a special memory for us to share with our dog. The creek trail is a must.
