You may park in the private driveway. Rubber boots are recommended! Please pick up after your dog, there is a waste bin at the entrance. Please help yourself to a laminated map at the entrance and return after your walk. The map is posted throughout the trails with "you are here" symbols to help you navigate the trails. There is also bug spray in the cabinet at the trail entrance. If trails are blocked off with caution tape, they are temporarily closed. Enjoy your visit! Hi there! 🥰 Please note, we are working on fixing up the property since moving in & the ice storm that took down several trees in our yard. The dock is in need of repair at the moment so please take caution while standing on it ⚠️ The property goes until it hits water on all north sides of the property which includes in the spring and summer a very muddy marsh area that dogs love running through. Please bring your own towels & prepare for a muddy happy dog! The sheds on property are off limits & should not be entered. We kindly ask the you stoop and scoop after your dog as we have kiddos that play in the backyard from time to time. There are fences on both sides of the yard, however not on the side where the road is but when further down the property you’re unable to see the road. I am happy to provide a 60’ lead for your dog if needed for recall. I do have 3 dogs on the property however when there is a booking they will be inside. I have two reactive dogs, so please do not come onto the property without a booking. To get to the backyard, you will park in the driveway on the left & walk through the car port. Please have your dog on leash until through the car port as it’s close to the road. We are working on getting a riding lawn mower as ours is currently broken so bare with us on the grass. There are several toys in the backyard in a chuck it bucket it for dogs to play with, please note that the chuck it balls with the holes do not float and are quite hard to retrieve due to the mud from the shoreline, so take caution if your dog will drop it in the water. 💧 There are cameras on the house for security purposes. 10 Acre Partially Fenced Private Dog Park In Courtice

IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD 10 acre property, approximately 5 acres of dog friendly area. Path around the pond and into the back of the property where there is woods. The back of the property is less maintained and it is only recommended to go back there if you wish to explore and are sure to be safe with your dog on leash, just because the previous owners of the property left some car debris back there that may be harmful to dogs if they are not careful. We take our three Chihuahuas here all the time with no issues. We’ve taken them to the back as well, but usually just stay to the maintained area around the pond. People have heard coyotes and seen coyote trails on the property so if you have a small dog, it is recommended to be on leash just in case. Pond is great for dogs to swim, relatively clean water that our dogs and ourselves swim in. Pond also has an island in the middle, which makes for a cool place for dogs to swim to. Be sure to wash dogs after as there is poison ivy or oak on the island that could stick on dogs fur.

I live on the lake with a large grassed area plus a small wooded trail. There is lots of parking and in the summer you can drive right down to the lake and park there . The property has a fence on one side, then there’s the lake , then the wooded area on the other side . The property is sloped toward the water and from the yard , the road is not visible. I have a dog but will be inside unless you would like interaction. When you drive down to the lake , it is a private boat launch area and u are welcome to launch a boat if that is something you would wish to do. There is a large dock for securing your boat . I have a minimalist washroom with a portable toilet and sink ( not in winter) and change spot if you are interested in swimming .
