We are working hard to clean up the backyard again after the tornado went through, but fences are back up, and just some random tree branches left to pick up. The wood chips around the play ground did blow away to Kansas I’m guessing. The yard has concrete edging to protect your pups paws from the sharp metal edging that is out there. Plenty of shade on the deck or under the tree, water bowl for the pups, and hoping to get the little pool set up soon too. Our hose and sprinkler are available for guest use. We provide several shaded seating areas and folding chairs, as well as hand sanitizer and sunscreen for humans. You’ll also find a bucket of towels on the porch that you can use to dry off a wet pup or wipe grass away from paws. We have two large trees that provide lots of shade in the summer. Our spot is setup to be a private experience, so it will just be you and your pup during your booking. You are welcome to invite guests to your booking; please make sure they are informed on parking areas and where to enter. Our six foot privacy fence is newly built and has no holes or gaps. Our spot is great for energetic, playful, or reactive pups. Please note that while our yard is wheelchair accessible, our porch is not. The surface is a packed sandy soil during the cold weather months and mowed natural vegetation during the warmer months. A walk around the interior fence line is about 1/4 mile so it's great for the active dog owner too. It's a close-in rural location right in Aurora just two miles east of I-225 from the Sixth Ave exit. While my field area is strictly for the dogs, there is a horse in a corral area next to the dog field. My neighbor has loose chickens on his property. Neither the horse nor the chickens are bothered by dogs. Dogs may bark out of curiosity and that's totally appropriate and ok, but they soon realize that with no reaction there is no need to bark.
