Spring Acre’s is such an amazingly beautiful slice of heaven. Lots of trails to explore and a creek that Norman enjoyed taking a dip in. Hosts John and Stephanie were wonderful and very helpful in explaining the layout and getting us started. We arrived a bit early, which I felt bad about, but they were very gracious and understanding. Norman ( my dog ) can be a bit reactive when excited but was not bothered at all by any of the farm animals. He barked more when he was leaving! I think he could have stayed all day honestly. There is a cute cabin the Hosts are building tucked away on the property and it has a porch that was available to us to sit and just enjoy the beauty that surrounded us. There is also a very cute sitting area right next to the creek as well. Norman loved chasing sticks and playing in the water. I highly recommend Spring Acres and look forward to many more visits. Thank you for opening up your property for folks like us and our dogs.

I will definitely be going back. This spot has it all from water, trails, and open grassy areas! My pup loves being able to play off leash in the creek, and I love not having to worry if another dog would come up.

we loved this sniff spot. it is so beautiful and there is lots of space to explore. my dog was challenged by getting through the pasture with the chickens and rabbits because she wants to chase them very much!- but john walked with us through this area and once on the other side we were in heaven. john is incredibly sweet and attentive and we loved visiting with the goats and cows afterward. such a great afternoon getaway. the only thing that could be better is if we could live there! haha.

We love this spot! Lots of trails to run, field to play fetch, cabin to hide from the rain and the nicest hosts.

First time visit and we loved the location. Perfect location to get a pup used to water due to the small creek running through part of the property. There is a couple open areas, one on an incline for fetch and many trails and areas for sniffing and marking. Both my runner and sniffer dogs had a blast, we will be back for sure. Owner was very helpful and inviting.

Oh my gosh, this place is Heaven on Earth. John & Stephanie are two of the nicest people I've ever come across and their farm is magical. They were nice enough to keep their dogs in the house for our arrival and departure and, even though we could hear the dogs in the house, Cooper was totally relaxed. Directions are straightforward and there is a Sniffspot sign on the gate so the property is super easy to find. John came out to meet us when we got there, told us where to park and Stephanie came out to say hello...then John took us through the gate to the Sniffspot. My usually reactive boy, Cooper, strolled happily through the pasture past a goat, a bunch of chickens, bunnies and 2 massive steer, all just within feet of us...he was completely unphased by all of it, not even one bark! The animals are all so sweet and happy and all throughout the farm there is such a peaceful energy...Cooper was immediately relaxed. As soon as we got to the other side, I let Cooper off his leash and he went crazy, romping, sniffing and running while John walked us around, giving me the lay of the land. He was so welcoming and spent lots of time showing us all the trails and some of the cool sights. We were so busy chatting that I forgot to pay attention so walked back down toward the pasture with him to make sure I knew how to get back. Turns out it's super easy and pretty near impossible to get lost. Once we were by ourselves, Cooper and I just hiked all over, explored all the trails and Cooper had loads of fun splashing around in the creek. Mostly shallow water but we found a couple spots deep enough for him to swim briefly. He was a dirty, wet boy by the time we left...and soooooo happy. We were there for 2 hours and I think it was the perfect amount of time. On a sunnier day, with a picnic, we'd probably make it 3 hours. Really, really lovely place and we are definitely going to be back soon. ❤

We enjoyed this SniffSpot so much! Behind the farm includes an expansive trail system with many creek crossings, some wide enough for the pup to swim in! It felt as though we were on our own private hike! A ways up the trail is a cabin built by the the host, a perfect place to sit on the deck and cool off. The host was wonderful explaining the layout to us. Do note- there is more than one entrance to the forested trail area. The SniffSpot directions take you to the main gate/house. We were greeted with the host dogs running toward the fence, which got my dog (still in the car) overly excited. The host was very responsive to my concern and placed his dogs inside. We crossed through the pasture with the cows, chickens, and goats without problem. However! If you have a sensitive dog to dogs/livestock *please* let the host know prior to entry! It is possible to meet at the other entrance to the trail system and avoid crossing the pasture with animals. The host obviously loves animals, is responsive and kind to let us use their space. We will definitely book this again

WOW! I think this is my favorite spot so far. John and Stephanie are excellent hosts , giving great directions and information about the property. They have some beautiful farm animals that we had to walk thru but John walked us thru and we kept the pups on the leash, it was fine. In fact our dogs weren’t reactive with John at all as we walked with him. Go figure... It is so beautiful with great well marked trails and a creek running thru it for the pups to play in and chairs set up for you to just take it all in. Up on the top trails is a cabin being built with a great deck to relax on. Next time we will bring a picnic and do 2 hours! We hated leaving. Upon leaving John gave us some fresh vegetables from their garden and fresh applesauce Stephanie had just made. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend.

What a gorgeous place to let your dog run and play!!! This property offers a beautiful running river, areas where you can toss a ball as well as hiking trails that gradually incline up hill. Within the trails of the property is a cabin where you can relax in the chairs and enjoy the scenary. There are also chairs along the river to sit while your dog enjoys the water. The owner John walks you through the area where the farm animals are grazing into a gated area where you can then let your dog off-leash. John was gracious, hospitible and kind offering to allow us to stay longer if we would like because I had inadvertently mapped the wrong address and arrived a bit later than our start time. He also offered delicious vegetables from his beautiful garden!! I would highly recommend this place for your dog! Our dog was sooooo happy to run around freely but especially loved the river!

Great spot for the adventurous pup! My little guy had a great time exploring this beautiful property and got plenty of excersise and mental stimulation in the process. Mom enjoyed the piece and quiet. John and Stephanie were incredible kind hosts. We look forward to coming back.

This is our 2nd visit and we had so much fun! Hosts John & Stephanie are so welcoming and the farm is beautiful. I'm really surprised how completely relaxed my reactive boy Cooper is walking through all of the animals in the pasture. I worried about it quite a lot but both times he didn't bat an eyelash. This time the chickens and bunnies were running all over and the steer was laying down maybe just 4 or 5 feet from the gate to the Sniffspot. No problems at all, Cooper just strolled past all the critters and the giant steer, happy as can be. Just as our first visit, we again booked 2 hours and I find this is a great amount of time for us. I was surprised to find there are a lot more trails than I realized the first time we were here and some are fairly steep with beautiful moss covered logs bordering the pathways. Super pretty and secluded. We hiked all about, regularly running back to the beginning so Cooper could splash about in the creek. This is such a peaceful place and very calming, a great place to unwind and for your pup to explore. As weather permits, this is definitely going to be one of our regular spots and we can't wait to be back.

This is our 3rd time here. We are head over heels in love with Spring Acres. I'm not sure how, but every visit is better than the one before. You couldn't ask for more welcoming, kind hosts as John & Stephanie...they are such good people. And I just can't get over how Cooper strolls through all the animals in the pasture....it's bizarre to see my reactive dog so completely at peace...I just love it, makes me so happy. 😊 This time it was rainy and we had the best time hiking around and discovering new trails. Cooper loves splashing around in the creek, racing around like a nut and rolling around in the grass and I love the fresh air and peace & quiet. It's nice roaming around without the worry of encountering other dogs and I am totally relaxed here. Super awesome amazing Sniffspot! Can't wait to be back!

This place is the best! It has some trails for running, water for splashing, an grassy area for fetch, some wooden bridges and best of all a cabin to hide on the deck if it rains. Riley ran around like a lunatic and Buddy was able to sniff until his heart was content. There is something for everyone! The hosts are super nice and generous and great communicators. There are some very calm farm animals - cows, goats, chicken, bunnies and a peacock to be aware that you will need to pass. They won't bother you though.

This spot was awesome for us! Sign out front, good parking. Owners are great and show you around the property upon arrival. There are other farm animals at the property, most ignore you completely, goats are curious but very friendly. Once your pup is allowed off leash they cannot access the farm animals. Trails to follow are well marked, a lot of small loops to follow!! Covered area to sit if you want. This is a big piece of property! So much exploring. This time of year it was muddy so bring boots and a towel for the pup if you really want to explore the whole property. There are also 2 areas that are rather flat for ball throwing etc if that is more your thing! We will definitely be back, if you and your pup like to explore through the trees this is a great spot!!

We just love it here. We always book 2 hours and that seems to be just enough time for us. If we ever decide to invite a third, I would probably book 3 hours and bring a picnic. There is a creek, trails and plenty of open space for Cooper to romp and explore. The best part of Spring Acre's is John & Stephanie. They are such a kind, welcoming couple and I always feel so comfortable. ♥ I also get a huge kick out of watching my normally reactive boy stroll past all the animals in the pasture...goats, chickens, giant steer and he just trots happily through the pasture, it's hilarious. There is such tranquility here and I love seeing my boy so at peace. Just before this visit there had been days of heavy rain so the creek was really running....John warned me it could be a bit strong in parts so I kept Cooper closer to shore and he had the best time splashing around then running around the trails & rolling around in the grass. He was one very happy, very dirty boy by the time we got back to the car for the ride home. It started raining just before we left and Stephanie ran out with a towel to try to dry Cooper off, it was super sweet. Great time. This will definitely be one of our regular hangouts. ☺

Really nice Sniffspot! Quiet and pretty, lots to explore in the woods but some open area for running, too. Really appreciated the towels since our dog decided to jump in the pond just before we left.

Black pond farms is such a nice spot! Everything is well-labeled and so cute! Trails lead you to a wooded field filled with lots of wonderful things to sniff and jump over. They even had a fire with smore kits for the humans! Such a great space!

Amazing amazing spot! We have visited Black Pond Farm in the past but, after the recent updates, I am completely blown away. We had a blast! As you drive up to the property, you'll see parking on the left. There you will find some supplies in a plastic tub, poop bags, a trash can and water for your pup. ♥ Across the driveway toward the pond is the trail to "Club Zoomies". The hike is so enjoyable...lovely, groomed trail with some smaller more primitive trails off to the side here and there. Very fun to wander through and there are signs everywhere, it would be nearly impossible to get lost. The DNR public land is off to the right and clearly marked should you choose to venture that way. We never felt the need to leave the private property...we scheduled an hour and a half and I felt like we barely had enough time to explore. At the end of the nice relaxing hike you arrive to "Club Zoomies" which is a nice combination of open space and woods. There is a table with chairs, toys (which Cooper found right away) and even a working hose at the far end! These guys really thought of everything. It is obvious the folks at Black Pond Farm have put a lot of love into this spot and we are so grateful. ♥ Cooper was absolutely ecstatic to be here and me too...we just had so much fun and can't wait for our next visit!

Magical! Beautiful, well-marked trails with open areas for fetch. Host is very considerate and has placed mosquito repellent, chairs, tennis balls, and more for guests. Absolutely loved our visit!
