We no longer have any pets-- no more dogs, horses, chickens, or other livestock. We are often visited by deer and groundhogs. Although we have 12 acres, the house and barn are in the middle of it, so you may see the house from many areas during your visit. We were a little nervous about the fencing for our mastiff and shepherd upon arrival but we quickly warmed up. This is a great sniffspot. Our dogs loved the different grasses and wide open room in addition to a few trees for some obstacles. There was some rabbit / deer poop but other than that it was very clean.

This is by far our favorite sniff spot so far. We drive over an hour to go and it’s so worth it. The fencing is secure all the way around and it’s always clean. Entry and exit is smooth and we never see other dogs or people which is great for my reactive pup.

We drove from Ypsi with two dogs and made a little afternoon out of going to this sniff spot! There was plenty of room and we did a couple of laps with the dogs. It was completely fenced in and there were some toys and a trashcan. There was also a water bowl, so I’m glad we brought some of our own water. Would definitely recommend!

55This was my first visit to this sniffspot with my two dogs and it certainly isn't going to be my last. The area is clean, very well maintained and the fencing is secure around the entire spacious yard. There are nice shady areas with tall grass, trees and shrubs for relaxing after romping about. My 1 year old acted like he was a kid at Disneyland. He doesn't get too many opportunities to be in that big of a space off leash. He was in heaven! My 4 1/2 year old dog is VERY noise reactive and fearful and did amazingly well for the first 30 minutes. I saw her as happy as I've ever seen her, running and chasing her little brother, exploring the perimeter and running back to me with a huge smile on her face. Unfortunately, about 30 minutes into the visit, someone driving on a nearby road thought they were driving at the Indy 500. Loud car revving/ racing noises are a big trigger for her so she was done and went to the gate where she could see our car, her escape from the big bad noise. Honestly, it's getting harder and harder to find places where you don't hear the occasional wannabe race car driver. All in all, this was a big success for both of my dogs and nothing makes me happier than seeing my dogs as happy as they were at this great spot. We'll definitely be back. This was my first visit to this sniffspot with my two dogs and it certainly isn't going to be my last. What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?

We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?

No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
