22+ acre property with 20 acres that is fully/securely fenced. The front half is an open field & orchard, the back is forested and has maintained trails throughout. There's covered seating in the field & woods, portapotty, drinking water station, toys etc - see amenities for more details. There are seasonal streams, ponds in the woods this time of year, plus extra puddles & mud during/after moderate-heavy rain. Foot bridges and woodchips keep the main trails in decent shape for walking but there are plenty of muddy areas to explore so expect a wet, dirty dog - waterproof traction boots (muckboots etc) recommended. There's a dog rinse station (elevated, tethers, sidewalls) for faster cleaning that's easy on the back and keeps clothing drier; bring your own towels. Reservations are available up to 30 days in advance. Some days fill fast but plans can change & bookings get modified/canceled (2+hrs beforehand) - check back for an opening if interested. Thank you for being considerate of our space by reading and abiding by SS and spot specific rules and asking all who accompany you to do the same. First time visitors get an auto-message 2hrs beforehand with helpful info.

This is 40 undeveloped, private wooded acres less than 15 minutes from Bellingham and 10 minutes from Mount Baker Highway. There is a long unpaved road to wander on as you adventure deeper into the property. Trails to come, until then, explore as you wish. Enjoy nature’s agility course by wandering at your will. Coming here will feel like you are in the country with the beauty of the mountains, a field to run in and a trail to hike in. *Please note that the acreage is a total of 86 acres including the crop areas. There is very little time that the crop area is restricted. When the pumpkins are grown, it is fun to walk up the rows and we welcome the pups to be in there, take photos etc. If you visit during planting, we ask the dogs stay out of that area as that can damage the crop. There is lots of space to run and walk/hike. The perimeter trail is approximately 3.5km. There is short grass, tall grass the dogs can go in and out all over the field in the front and middle of the property. As well as up the hill trail.

Our dogs love running in "the field" and walking the trails, and playing hide and seek, so we decided to share it with you. Please enjoy our fully fenced 5-acre field and wooded area for an intro price of $10/hour while we learn and refine. During the winter, the back section is quite flooded especially after snow and rain. We monitor it and will open it as soon as we can. Meanwhile, enjoy the field and smaller wooded trails. I really love how Grace came out to introduce herself for the first time and didn't require a meet with my reactive boy who is in force free training. This is the perfect place to explore especially for dogs who struggle in busy areas. The first half hour was all about exploring and the second half, a bit of fun off leash training session. My boy came back a happy, tired boy.

My dogs and I loved this SniffSpot!! What a gorgeous property. It really did feel like a mini forest hike. Everything was clean and as described. Just note that if you have small dogs, they may be able to go underneath the gate and into a different fully-fenced area that is not part of the SniffSpot and where the goats are. I'm glad my dogs didn't run out and bother the goats. The host wrote our names on the sign and left little biscuits for us, which was a thoughtful and personal touch. Thank you!!

Our host, Grace, welcomed us and sent us on our way with clear directions about the property. My Dane and her cousin (also a Dane) had a marvelous time. It is very hard to find a property with acreage that is fully fenced; I highly recommend this Spot for large dog owners. Mina and Rocky had a blast playing hide-and-seek and chase in the ferns and terrain. I can’t speak to how this Spot would be for small dogs but for our giant breeds, it was heaven on earth. What a special treat on a gorgeous autumn day!

Our dog has never been happier. She sniffed and ran and played ball and then explored some more. There was a wonderful creek, trails through the woods, benches to sit on and soak in the peaceful surroundings. We booked the spot for two hours and were so glad we did. This place was amazing! The property is gorgeous. It’s a great place to train a new dog offleash because there’s a lot of distracting smells. My dog was extremely interested in the goats (they are safely in their own enclosure) so we had some trouble staying focused but it’s great practice! Thank you Gracie.

Grace was the nicest most welcoming host. She pointed us in the right direction and left us to enjoy the time. The land is beautiful. A nice hill to get a little workout and lots of open spaces to run when you get up top. Plenty of benches and tables to rest and enjoy the peace. There were goats and a horse safely away in their shelter and easily avoided as they are before the start of the area you will be using. They are adorable and so patient as Niko saw them and barked. Didn’t see or hear any people or other animals at all- There’s we a super pretty water area when you first start the trail that is perfect for a little splashing around. Basically- it’s like your own private hike in the woods for a few great hours. Thank you Grace!

A beautiful and peaceful spot! We loved strolling around exploring the trails and seeing our newly adopted dog run safely off leash and try out wading in the creek. She really enjoyed the freedom and so did we, knowing we had the place to ourselves. There were lots of places to sit for a picnic and even an outhouse. We'll stay longer next time!

Our dogs had a blast! It is a great hilly property with lots to explore. Paths crisscross the wooded acreage. Plenty of shade and sunny spots, plus benches for the humans to rest at. The dogs loved the creek too. I’m glad we brought a towel. We did occasionally hear a dog barking way in the distance, but since the dogs couldn’t see anything, there was no reactivity. The terrain could be considered a bit challenging if you aren’t wearing the right shoes, but there are paths to take that are easier to navigate. We will be back!

This was one of the best Sniffspots I've been to! What a treat! Grace was such a kind and welcoming host and her land is like a private woodland oasis. You could spend all day here, so I'd recommend booking more than an hour to really enjoy it. Plenty of spots to sit and so many trails to explore we were finding new side trails to wander throughout the whole visit. Definitely take the advice to wear hiking shoes or similar as it's rocky and woodsy - there's also some steep sections where a good tread helps. But my pups had an absolute BLAST - they normally get tired / bored after about an hour, but they were still going strong when it was time to go home. The creek is perfect for a little dip if it's hot and there's plenty of open areas for fetching or chasing too. The only caution I would say is you may encounter a bit of livestock poo, so if your pup likes to roll in such disgusting delights (like mine...), come prepared lol. Can't recommend Grace's place highly enough though - we will definitely be making the long drive from West Seattle again. :)

What a fabulous Sniffspot!!! Doogie, Thomas and I had such a great time here! It's a wonderful forest with old growth stumps that new trees have grown out of, a nice creek and numerous trails to wander. It is nicely maintained. My boys got to meet their first goats and a horse (they are in an adjoining pasture) and thought that was pretty cool. The goats came right up to the fence to say hi. Doogie is a new rescue (in our family for 2 months), so I can't let him hike in open spaces off-leash yet, and I am keeping him on his longline for a few more outings, but this wonderful, forested place with numerous trail options gives me the chance to safely test out how he's doing and give him freedom. He is doing so good, that hopefully he can be off the longline on our next visit. Grace, the owner, is very nice! There was a welcome sign and poop bags for us to use. Since it was our first time, she welcomed us, pointed out where to go and checked in with us as we were leaving to make sure we had a good time. I only wish we lived closer, but if we were headed to the mountains for a hike, we would have had to drive further, so that's ok. We will definitely be back!!

Great experience! Grace is as nice as can be. The property is well cared for and provided a lot of opportunity for our dogs to run and get worn out. Be prepared to hike up some steep inclines in order to utilize the entire property (this ended up being a great walk for us as well!). Will definitely be going back! Oh, and though we don't think this will be the case at all times, our pups did need a bath after their visit (in the best way possible). :)

This place is heaven! Rogue had so much fun on his birthday adventure. Running, sniffing, playing ball and swimming. He is worn out! It’s an hour drive from West Seattle. Book for two hours and bring a lunch. So worth it.

Every time we visit we find something new to explore. We checked out a new trail this time and climbed to the top of the hill. The dogs also had tons of fun playing in the stream. This place is paradise. It’s well fenced (designed for goats) and has running water and is very relaxing. Come here as often as I can!

While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
