Our Sniffspot has been referred to as Dog Heaven. We are in a remote area in the Appalachian Foothills of SE Ohio. We have farm roads, mowed trails and open fields you and your dog can enjoy, but the favorite place for most dogs is our pond. Our pond features a dock that dogs love to jump off of. There is also a large covered pavilion with tables and chairs. A basket of water toys is next to the dock. There is an outhouse there and well, it is primitive, but clean (unless the mice make nests, but I try to keep ahead of that) In dry weather the pond is accessible by vehicle but it is also a good walk for people and dogs, about 1/2 a mile from the parking area (and mostly uphill). This pavilion also has our "Sugar Shack" attached, which is where we boil down maple sap in February and March to make syrup. The Maple Grove is up a trail above the pond. **My dogs swim in this pond most days in the spring, summer & fall. The pond has an aerator and also is treated with Pond Blue, both of which help to eliminate the possibility of dangerous algae blooms. There is also no fertilization of fields that could run off into the pond. **

***We just enlarged...doubled the size of our fenced in area! (Aug 2024). And added a picnic table, fire pit, bench & hammock! Our 1st pup together gave us such inspiration to do something for other pooches! This fenced in area is across the street from our main tiny home & is a private area for your pooch to run, play & of course SNIFF! Travelers...we are located, not far off of I77, near Seneca Lake, Senecaville exit. If you're traveling, it's a great place to pull off & let your dog have a break! We have a private restroom on site!

Large rolling hay field with a beautiful tree line on 3 sides. Part of a working cattle farm with cows, horses, chickens, ducks, and goats. The field is cut twice a year, but there is 4 foot wide path around the parameter that is cut by a lawn mower regularly to maintain short grass perfect for walking, this is about a 1/4 mile around. The field is fenced, but the fence varies in escapability. The south side has wooden board fence, the west side (nearest the road) has woven wire, the north and east side have older barbed wire fencing reinforced with briar bushes (see photos). If you're feeling adventurous, there is a small section of woods, pasture land, and a creek to explore through the gate along the right corner of the field. *please shut and chain all gates upon entry*

Back yard is about 3/4 to an acre fully fenced. There is an above ground pool with a fence around the deck. Small dogs will be able to sneak through the pool deck fence so use caution with smaller pups. We block the deck off with all the pool junk best we can. Depending on if we are home the yard is always picked up before each guest and fresh water put out for your pup. If you need to book with shorter notice, send me a message and see if I can make accommodations. I also block time off to mow grass or if we are using the pool. A lot of the time I am done early so you can always message me and we can see if it’s available. Any questions just ask :)

Dogs that are aggressive towards people ARE NOT WELCOME. I was just attacked while gardening in my front yard by a sniffspot persons dog. & I’m simply grateful my kids where not home. We ARE NOT a theropy location for aggressive dogs. Come join our journey as we restore, our newly purchased 247 year old farm, in 84 PA. We are replanting the riparian buffer to keep our waterways clean & beautiful. Planting hundreds of trees to create habitat for wildlife. & have planted thousands of jaw-dropping cute flowers.

Fully fenced in backyard with “puppy bars” so it will keep both big and small dogs in! Mix of shade and sun. Perfect place if you have reactive dogs that you would like to let run off leash and gets lots of sniffs of trees & plants and chase a couple birds. We do have 3 dogs that will be inside while your dogs are there. *PLEASE READ* We clean our yard as often as we can but we cannot guarantee that there will be no poop/ toys in the yard, especially on short notice, as we have 3 dogs of our own that are out often when guests are not here. Welcome to Raising Roots Farm! We just purchased this farm with big dreams to turn it into a community haven for years to come! Come bring your off lead trained pups to explore the farm before we move the livestock in, 10 acres of fenced pasture lead to the scenic overview of the Ohio River Valley. Follow the trail to the back of the property for your chance to spot some deer, turkey, or rabbits! The pastures are fenced with electric wire that is not in use as of yet (10/10/2024). Will update this posting once we’ve moved in livestock! For your dogs that need a more secure place to roam, our XL fenced back yard spot is perfect for our four legged friends who need some help to follow boundaries. 4ft chain link lines two sides and a wooden fence with gaps separates this yard from the pasture. Escape artist small-medium dogs WILL be able to escape this fence. As we get the farm established we’ll be adding flower fields and a food forest, as well as other furry farm friends! Our beloved Chicken Nugget is always available to pal around with other dog friendly pups if needed!

Located in a secluded area walking distance from the high school. The home sits "behind" the home on the street, which adds extra reassurance because no car traffic. A deer run surrounds the yard and a small wooded area where deer are seen several times a day. Secured fencing originally built for Xl dogs. Extra basement space for unexpected weather conditions or overnight emergencies.

3/4 mile one way level trail along shallow pristine stream. The stream, provided no recent rain, is four inches deep and has to be forded at four spots. Fees are donations only and can be left at the roadside spring donation box. Before you can use the trail you must text Tom at 7402831010 for permission who will text you instructions and map.

Hello, new here and figured our dogs love our giant yard so yours can too! It has a nice flat spot on the bottom, you can bring toys or we have a chuck it and some tug toys. I cut the grass down on the flat and most of the hill, my dogs enjoy hiding in some taller areas and playing with each other. We have a nice patio where you can park and sit and throw a ball down the hill or up the hill, nearby the patio we have a water hose you can use to spray your dog or play with them. We will offer purified water for dogs and cold bottles for our guests. 1 bottle per hour per guest.

We have 10 acres of land on our farm that we want to essentially make usable to people with dogs to really be able to run around and play fetch with or whatever your dog is into. Part of the property lower section has a creek if your dog wanted to get a drink or play in it. Welcome to bring a friend and their dog to play with them and can split the hourly cost. The outside is fully fenced, but up at the top where one tree line is located no longer has fencing since we sold our cows and opened it up for tractors and equipment access. If your dog isn't trained to come when called and would potentially run away, wouldn't recommend. Deer, rabbits, and other wildlife may be present pending upon time of day.
