This sniffspot is amazing. Thanks, Sylvia! The dogs had a blast. They ran laps around the property and even went into the pond for good measure. The space is beautiful, relaxing, and has lots of spots to sit in nature. The covered shelter was great for when we got hit with the downpour. Thanks again. We'll be back.

Sylvia has a beautiful spot for dogs to play! Our dogs especially loved her large pond! They had an absolute blast! There is a partial barbed wire fence around the property, but the play area is behind her house and well back from the quiet road in front of the house. Sylvia is a great host. I had a few questions as a new Sniffspot user and she answered them very promptly! Thank you Sylvia!

We had such a fantastic and relaxing time at Sylvia's spot this morning. This spot has almost anything you would want - water features and streams to splash in, forest trail, open areas for fetch and even a treehouse! Very clean, private, and easy to find. Balls, poopbags and chairs for humans to sit. we can't wait to come back. Thank you so much!

Sylvia's Dog Park in Shawnigan. Sylvia's dog park is an amazing and fun private dog park just off Shawnigan/Mill Bay Road, about 20 minutes from Duncan. Sylvia's dog park is a beautiful spot, with lots of ponds and streams, a very large play area and forest with a trail. We had an amazing time. There are seats throughout for the feeble like myself to rest and watch the dogs play as well . Sylvia's is also a beautiful place to hold a wedding! Try this place! It is not fully fenced so don't bring any wandering dogs. There are no people or dogs present in the area. Thank you Sylvia for allowing my rowdy bunch to have a great time!

Amazing spot. Just as advertised or even better. Barb met us and gave us a brief overview then let us explore on our own. The perimeter was truly fully fenced and we felt very safe with our reactive dog. There are tons of nice touches including benches, trail maps, poop bags, etc. I’ve not seen our dog that happy and excited in a very long time - running free on trails in the woods with no worries! And my two little kids had fun too. We will be back!

This property is amazing! My girl loves it! There’s a big field for her to run in and she absolutely loves the forest area. It’s marked well and easy to follow. It’s like a little obstacle course, easy to walk through but provides places for my girl to run, jump and play. She LOVES it! I feel comforted to know it’s fully fenced. We will definitely visit again!

We LOVED this beautiful, private, serene place! Got to walk in the woods, AND throw a ball in the field! Such a great place for my reactive pup to just BE a pup, and run & sniff. The fully fenced acreage was peace of mind, even with a dog who doesn't usually go far. And the trails are marked, with 'bridges' and grass over the swampy places. I wish there were more places like this one around! Thank you for all the love & care you've put in to it! We will be back!

What an amazing spot. A huge well kept field, a forest with groomed trails. My dogs were in heaven. Water and waste bags were provided and you could easily spend a couple of hours exploring with your pups. Will be back! Thank you!

Wow!! Not much else a dog could want, and thought given the humans as well. We are so glad we went!!! Barb was delightful and helpfully pointed out how to find our way around. My shih tzu enjoyed the sniffs and my terrier never stopped moving. He bounded through the huge field, along the numerous trails in the woods, over logs, under brush and through the mud with a happy puppy smile. I was glad I headed the advice to wear sturdy shoes you don't mind getting a bit muddy. The field is a field (not lawn) so the terrain is uneven. Barb has done an amazing job making the trails as mud free as possible, but it is the pacific northwest and mud happens (much to my dogs delight). Good to bring a towel to wipe down your happy and pooped out pups before hopping back in the car.

Our little family of 3 had a blast playing in a safe, clean, quiet field/forest area on a beautiful sunny day. We have cavalier king charles spaniels and they loved being able to run free. Barb was awesome and gave us some basic information and then left us to play on our own. We can't wait to go back.
