55So much to sniff! Bit of “Lake Kefy” was still there (owner told us) and of course dogs thought it was wonderful!! Owner thoughtfully left out huge beach towel to dry the dogs along with toys and poop bags. It is a great location :)Adrienne S.

55This is a gigantic yard, and there are so many things to socialize a puppy to — wet ground, dry ground covered with pinecones, playground equipment, dogs next door, kids next door, chickens… It also was a great combo of shaded and sunny and the host had all the things we needed — tennis balls, poop bags, towels.Julie S.

55Loved the Sniffspot. The yard was huge! Lots of running room for my cattle dog & there was a grassy area that was kinda puddle-y and wet and she loved running through that playing fetch. Shadow loved it & I did too. Corrinne E.

55The spot is lovely and well-fenced. A neighbor was watering plants in the yard next door and I have an extremely reactive foster dog. However, since the fence is high and made of wood slats, my dogs didn't see the lady well enough to get stressed. Tons of toys which was fun for my dogs to find. Tiffany K.

55This yard is entirely enclosed in a wooden security fence providing for a safe and private experience for us and our pup. There were toys and sticks in the yard, which our dog loved. (especially the sticks!). The host provides a private entrance and we were not disturbed by anyone coming through the yard during our visit. All of this made for a great experience for our reactive dog. We'll be back!Una S.

55We have come here a couple times now with our reactive dog and have had a great time! The place is completely enclosed with tall fences and a private entrance. My dog loved the space to run around in and enjoyed all of the toys in the yard as well! The only minor issue we ran into was using the key the first time for the gate - you have to get the key just right (basically just don’t have it pushed all the way in). We will definitely be returning again soon! Jessica B.

FAQ about our Villa Park dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 96% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Villa Park area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 386 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 49 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
