Great roomy place. The fencing - a square page wire, 6 or 8 inches?- might allow a fairly small dog to escape. But it was great for my guys, though we never actually approached it. Fence was secure and great for my dogs, there is a clear line of sight to the neighbours house and driveway on one side and some horses on the other side- this was no problem for us, but may be if your dog reacts to strangers/animals. Place was nice and clean, easy to find. Beautiful place for dogs to run around. Our dog enjoyed running around chasing frisbees, sniffing around. Having such a large area that was fenced made us feel secure with working on off leash recall. We came from Northside of Edmonton which is about a 25 min drive and so worth it. Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks.
