Available Oct 31-March31, these are seasonally available pastures, grazed during the warmer months. 15+ fully fenced grassy acres, including a pond. Acreage is divided into 3 areas, with gates open or closed to limit or expand running space. Higher areas are drier, puddles in the lower spots. Pastures are vacant through the winter months. Parking is along a private gravel dead-end road. There is a SniffSpot sign on the double green gate. There are occasional dog-walkers along the road, but otherwise the spot is private.

Forested 1 Acre Fully Fenced Private Dog Park off Mt Baker highway

Step into our fully fenced in dog park nestled in a beautiful forest full of cedars, maples, and many many ferns. The dogs will be so mentally engaged jumping over logs, dodging through ferns and playing with sticks galore. There is a path worn in around the perimeter of the zone, but feel free to romp where ever you please if you dare! There are poop bags and a bucket for these at the front gate. There is water in a blue 5 gallon jug and a dog bowl. Please note- the road through the property to reach sniff spot is gravel!

Timber Paws

Timber Paws is a dog day camp service operating in and around the Bellingham, WA area. During non-operating hours our private and fully fenced-in dog park area is available for rent via Sniffspot. Take advantage of nearly 2 acres of natural, wooded terrain with plenty of space to run, chase, and fetch. The Pacific Northwest Trail, a through-hike trail hundreds of miles long, runs directly through our property via the gravel road and allows you to go on hikes of virtually unlimited duration. Please note that the standing propane heater is NOT for Sniffspot users. Please also keep out of the tiny house - guests are NOT permitted to enter. Any usage or tampering with the heater or tiny house will result in a loss of future booking privileges. PLEASE do not allow your dog to play with the toys and tennis balls if they are known to destroy them. These are intended for the day camp dogs and I can't keep constantly replacing them out of pocket. Please bring your own water. Water bowls on site for use. Please replace any toys that are destroyed by your dog.

WEATHER ALERT: If you are checking the weather online check the Ferndale (98248) weather. The Bellingham weather stops at the Smith Road. My prevailing wind is from the South BUT I do get the cold NE wind from Canada. NOTE: This is an acreage area which formerly held dog events; barn hunt, earth dog, carting, rally, obedience, tracking and nose work. The off leash area was set up for the dogs to have a place to run and play safely away from the other dogs when not working. This is all sandy loam so no standing water even when it rains. There is a water faucet down by the smaller barn (west side). You are welcome to fill your dog's bowls. Just be sure you turn the water off after. I have put some folding chairs just inside the big door of the barn. You are welcome to use them. I have also put a shovel out there so you can fill in any holes your dog digs. It is important you put balls back in the crate, they do not do well under the mower (the mower doesn't like it either. Please fill in any large holes your dog digs, so my mower doesn't bog down in one. if you want a bit more room to run your dogs, you may close the 2 big gates and let your dog run in the "parking area". It is all fully fenced. Be aware, the big gate into the back pasture does have a gap under it. THE BACK PASTURE IS OFF LIMITS THERE IS LIVESTOCK BACK THERE! PLEASE PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOG EVEN IN THE BIG AREA. THANK YOU!!!

Tiffany's 3 Acres Fully Fenced Forested Trails.

Welcome to our trail! This is a wooded path, mostly flat, with a couple of gentle rolling hills. Parking: On arrival, pull into the driveway and please park directly to your right in the grass. You will see a “guest parking sign” as well as an entrance sign and post with dog bags. Navigating the trail: On arrival, Keep your dog leashed unless they have perfect recall. Walk past the entrance sign and once you go through the first gate, you can let the pups off leash to run free. The main trail is maintained, follow it around the property, and come to the very end where you will find a gate with an “Exit” sign. Please leash back up at this point until you reach your car. (You may also come across gates that say “do not enter”… please don’t open these, you will no longer be fenced in.) You’re welcome to access the little seasonal creek but it is outside the fence line. Please shut that gate when you’re done using it. During the rainy months the trail can get muddy, we recommend boots for you and a towel for your dogs. In the spring and summer you will find wildflowers, and maybe even some berries! (Always only eat fruit you are 100% sure you can identify) In the fall and winter the leaves/foliage get sparse, so it’s easier to see the houses and properties through the woods, but the neighborhood is overall remote and quiet so it should still feel very private. Our dogs: We have 4 dogs that live here. They won’t have access to the area, but you might hear them bark when you arrive.

Please contact me ASAP if your dog has ALLERGIES!** Based in South Langley, BC, this indoor area is designed from the dog’s perspective and features sensory plants such as lavender, rosemary, basil, and mint, flowers, wheat grass and baby trees, as well as recycled objects with a scent history, including children’s toys, horse blankets, shoes, hats, and gloves. Scented cloths, feathers, and other items with various animal scents are also available. Dogs see a range of blues and yellows, so items have been chosen to reflect this, offering a visual experience as well as an olfactory workout. Various textiles are used to enhance the sense of touch in indoor spaces, including non-slip mats made of nylon, foam, and fur, as well as hanging items to brush against, such as scarves and beads. As your dog moves around and explores, they will discover natural treats hidden in boxes, puzzles, snuffle mats and even ball pits. The Praise Dog Enrichment Room gives your dog the opportunity to simply be a dog, making their own choices and exploring at their own pace. For this reason, a maximum of 2 dogs (from the same household) may visit at a time, as long as there is no resource guarding behaviour. As all dogs are unique, each experience is planned on an individual basis, taking into account your dog’s preferences, age and ability, character and behaviour, and the layout is adapted accordingly. It is also an opportunity to relax and simply observe your dog’s natural behaviour. On subsequent visits, the environment can be changed to reflect your dog’s preferences or provide additional opportunities.

Off West Pole Road, there’s a little lane next to a DeWildes nursery field. Our front field has a hidden gate (see pictures!) that will let you into our fully fenced front field. The grass is field grass and a little more rough and uneven than a yard lawn. When possible, please fill any dug-up spots so as to keep people and pups from tripping or getting hurt!

Hike up the mini forest

Our property is shy of 12 acres, 9+ acres of which we're sharing as a private off leash dog space or Sniffspot. The entrance is over the bridge where the creek is and 'From Creek to Back of Property' is all yours to explore. You may chain the gate & unleash your doggies right after the bridge. Dogs might run down the creek for a splash or drink. Continue on to our family campground, there are picnic tables you could use. Then, up the hill you go to 'hike up the mini forest', free to roam around, listen to the birds, squirrels and other critters and sounds that nature brings you. You'll find seating areas while your dogs are at play, feel free to use them. Enjoy a picnic with your loved ones if you're up for it on one of the cabin porches or covered / uncovered picnic tables. The back of property behind fence is DNR land, so rest assured you’re on your own private little world with your furry buddies. The mini forest has some large walking paths and smaller trails scattered about, also some open meadows and is at a peaceful wooded setting. This is where I go to unwind and relieve my head of stress and worries. It’s my place of meditation, while my dogs sniff and romp around like crazy, do their zoomies and play hide n seek! Forget about the gym, you'll get your exercise here with your dogs. As mentioned, there are cabins on the property. Sniffspot is unavailable if the Cabins are booked or vice versa. Booking is through Hipcamp (hipcamp.com). Name of listing: 'Grace E.'s Mini Forest Cabins'. Check it out and Search listing through the hipcamp site. Saturdays are usually blocked IF there's Hipcamp bookings. I would Unblock the hours for Sniffspot use if that day isn't booked for Hipcamp, so please try to check back, who knows that day might be available! Peaceful mini-retreat with field & woods

Fully/securely fenced 20 acre spot with a field & orchard in the front. The back half is forested and has maintained trails throughout. Features include covered picnic tables in the field & woods, portapotty, drinking water station, balls/toys etc - see amenities for more details. There are seasonal streams & ponds in the woods during the wet season. Gravel, woodchips & foot bridges keep the main trails in decent shape but there's easy access to mud & water so expect a wet, dirty pup. Outdoor hose and rinse station provided. Waterproof traction boots, rainwear + towels recommended. Reservations are available up to 30 days in advance. Some days fill fast but plans can change & bookings get modified/canceled (2+hrs beforehand) - check back for an opening if interested. Thank you for being considerate of our space by reading and abiding by SS and spot specific rules and asking all who accompany you to do the same. First time visitors get an auto-message 2hrs beforehand with helpful info.

Enjoy our quiet rural setting on our 5+ acres with our fully fenced 1 acre play area for your dogs. Our beautiful very scenic Barkley Park sits on over 5 acres, just 3 miles from Old Town Lake Stevens. A little over an acre is securely and newly fenced for your dogs to free run for safe exercise. Our large acreage is open for you to explore and walk as well. We are not an amusement park of entertainment, we are peaceful safe alternative for you to enjoy peace and quiet in a lovely setting. No mud ever, all of our property drains properly and is well maintained. We have plenty of parking, our setting is very private above large homestead acreage quiet farmland fields of the Schwarzmiller River Valley, Barkley Park is just 3 miles from old town Lake Stevens. To enter the fenced Sniffspot follow the red reflectors up the grassy lawn hill past the large livestock gate that’s at the top, go around the top corner there is a people sized gate. Enjoy staying warm and dry in our raised floor covered warming hut with seating and protection from the weather. Easy to find, easy to enter our fenced Sniffspot. Easy latch for coming, and going. If you choose to be adventurous you may choose to visit the forest area behind the fenced area. It’s a steep hill up with natural woodland ground, lots of ferns, beautiful nature untouched. Old trails exist, we have not cleared them in recent years, feel free to explore them if you would like to just know, they are not maintained and certain times of year there is brush and ferns. We have running water with a hose for your convenience at our pump house. You may occasionally see myself, my husband or my elderly mother by the house, and patio, working on the property and gardens, area around our home. We live above farms that takes care of their fields so you may hear mowing in the distance in the valley we set above. Please do not pick, or disturb the fruit on the trees. Please keep children, and all guests off the fence line, and do not step on the gates or fencing. Shut the gates when coming, and going. Please leash your dog/dogs upon arrival until you become aware of the setting. Your reservation must include the correct number of dogs in your visit that is stated in your reservation time. Correct or update this if need be before you start your visit at Barkley Park. We are happy to share our safe quiet countryside with pups and their people. We do not meet our Sniffspot guests, with that being said, feel free to send us a text or ask if you need help with anything. Enjoy! We do offer pet boarding in our home for select clients. Everything our pup enjoys in life, is available to your pet, including a big pillow bed in the heart of our home.

Hi there! We have a big backyard that my dogs enjoy often. It is fully fenced yard but you could see any pedestrian or dog that walks on the street, about 25 ft away. I have three dogs, two under 20lbs and a 60lb black lab but they will be inside the house at all time during your stay (unless you want a play buddy!). You do not have to pick up after your dog but if you do, you can throw it away at the provided trash can. Feel free to reach out with any questions! Note - if you are booking a visit between 7am and 9am, please make sure you give us at least 12 hour notice. That way we can make sure we clean up before your visit.

Great spot for throwing the ball with the chuck-it, digging box (please don't let them take ALL the sand out) and a climbing apparatus for the dogs away from the fence line. Only vaccinated dogs use this space. Park and go straight to the front fenced yard for your time period. We ask that you do not walk your dog around the property or bring them into the shelter - only to and from the yard. There is a no "nose-to-nose" rule at the facility and no dog is too be off leash on the grounds unless contained in the fenced yard. Public washroom available while your dog is contained in your vehicle, inside the shelter between 9am and 5:30pm.
