Return the toys and balls to where you found them, to the best of your ability. 5 acres is a lot of ground to cover, and if I have to round everything up after you visit, you will be blocked. Losing a ball or three is no big deal, it happens lol, but not picking up after yourself is rude. Please leave the place as you found it. Don’t knock on my doors, and do not ask me for my phone number. We have 3 separate fields. Black berry bushes are very present in all fields. FIELD 1: Closest to busy road, least suitable for free-roam incase of delivery or neighbor utilizing third gate on easement. I consider this field “the buffer zone”. Best suited for dogs with proper recall skills, or for those who want to hide biodegradable items in the rock piles to be found. Orange flags indicate boundaries with a buffer to prevent trespassing onto neighboring property back into the woods. There are times when I have to leave or enter the property, which I will notify you if this is to happen during your visit. Our three dogs will be heard from this field (from inside of the house). You will find the 2nd gate entrance here, into field 2. Look for the black garbage can, as well as blue kiddy pool to navigate to field 2. FIELD 2: the best field! Our backyard. It is completely fenced in, private, and safe for dogs 15lbs and up- smaller dogs such as our 9lb dog need to wear a device to recall because fencing is large enough for them to escape through. The fencing is approximately 3’ high. Horses can be seen from this field on neighbor’s property, along with their dog, Cooper. It is sloped, which is excellent for exercise! There are trees blocking our house and windows for privacy, easy gate access, and accessible water. There is a nice view of Mt. Hood, and a couple of log benches around the property. I try my best to maintain and refresh a kiddy pool and the water bowl. I strongly recommend against use of field 3 during foggy periods for safety of your pets. Should a dog without proper recall training decide to wander off in field 3, you will have a LOT of ground to cover without much sight distance (on foggy days). Water access is in field 1 by the house, please turn off with hose in “on” position to prevent built-up water pressure in the hose. Field 3: this is an excellent field for dogs with recall skills. Through the first two fields, is field 3, a property long and flat, one which openly borders our neighbor’s property. You must go through the gate at the bottom of field 2 to enter this field. While this field is technically entirely fenced, the entire property is not all ours, so we have marked boundaries using orange flags. Please reference photos for what these orange boundary flags look like. The orange flags indicate hazards along fence line, entrance to bee hives, and boundaries between properties. Cautions: Coyotes frequent this lower field on a weekly basis, so large dogs with proper recall training are advised only. I strongly recommend against use of this field during foggy periods for safety of your pets. Should a dog without proper recall training decide to wander off, you will have a LOT of ground to cover without much sight distance. Also, coyotes tend to be more active during these foggy periods. This field (field 3) is a split property (2 parcels), half ours, half theirs. The neighboring owners have bee hives! Please be mindful of bees, and maintaining general boundaries (see photos of orange flags designating boundary lines). It’s quite rugged, so be mindful of wild animal scat, mole holes, and uneven grass. There is a digging area here too. I have seen coyotes, skunks, deer, owls, a feral cat, and bunnies in this field. Horses and neighbor dog cooper are sometimes visible. Please contact me with any questions!

Looking to the right when out in the pasture, the neighbors Goldens occasionally bark. Two fences between properties on this side. Owner usually calls them when barking. The pasture has goat droppings so no surprises. This is a farm :) Chickens and goats in separate area and visible to dogs (see photos). Don’t be surprised if they come up to the fence to see what’s going on. The animals have been raised around dogs and are not bothered by them. They would come out if they could. Very nice field fencing in pasture. Chain link/field fencing in training field. As of now the training field and pasture are muddy and slick in areas. Agility equipment can be slick also due to rain. Check pasture area if deciding to throw a ball/stick/small child :). Hard packed in areas and not level in some. Playhouse is open for photos and kids. Nature in the City is a unique Private Dog Park that is 1 1/2 acres of beautiful natural land with varied landscapes. Step out of the city and into our natural setting that features different areas including 2 grassy fields perfect for fetch w/discs, ropes, or toys, (balls are not best here due to all of the surrounding bushes), a couple of forested areas, several nature trails for hiking adventures, and a wetland-like area with a healthy little creek that’s a hit with the pups. They can wade, cool off, and drink from the natural water. Your dogs will have so many different sniffing and secure off-leash exploring opportunities here! Our spot is so much more than just a fenced field! The area is diverse and so much fun for your dog(s)! This is a great spot to work on recall. There are a couple areas on the trails that are a little steep, there’s a trail where you have to walk over logs 🪵, and the little creek has to be stepped over in places, so people with limited mobility may have issues in these areas of the spot. There are two bridges over the creek, and we will be adding one more bridge at the far west end of the spot soon. There are plenty of spaces and trails that are suitable for all abilities. If you’re looking for a basic fenced field to play chuck-it then this probably isn’t your spot. We are continually working on our property, so every time you visit you will see improvements! We provide a rain/sun shelter with 4 foldable chairs (message us in advance if you need more chairs and we’ll put them out for you), and lots of supplies including dog toys & balls, poop bags, hand sanitizer, natural bug spray, sunscreen, wipes, hand towels, first aid kit, and a cornhole yard game. We also provide snacks and beverages for humans and doggos! Located outside are 2 zero-gravity reclining chairs, a kids size picnic table, a round metal table w/umbrella & 4 metal chairs, and fresh drinking water for your pups. There are open areas with sun ☀️, and there is shade all day due to many large trees. Our property is VERY secure with 5 to 6 ft fencing. We walk the fence line regularly and check to make sure it’s secure. We are located close-in on the Westside of Vancouver one mile from I-5 on 78th Street in West Hazel Dell near Felida. *It gets muddy in areas when it has been wet/raining outside. We have wood chips along trails and in muddy areas which help a lot! Come prepared so you enjoy your visit. **We recently added 6 solar flood lights in the main field area for those of you who visit after dark. They provide subtle light at the entryway, main field, and the shelter for about 4-5 hrs after it gets dark outside. If you you want to explore the trails after dark we recommend putting a collar light on your dog(s), and that you bring headlamps and flashlights 🔦. ***We recently added a small bridge over the middle section of the creek! Sterling (border collie) Piper (border collie) and our newest member Wriggley ( husky mix) SHE was supposed to be a foster dog, but we fell in love with her... If your dogs roam up to the very edge of the Woods where the 4 acres are divided, you will most likely hear my pups if they are outside. We have placed a privacy material along the fencing so that the dogs will not be able to have any contact, but they will see shadows through the material. My pups may bark and run up and down the fence line as you play in the forest if they hear you. The property adjacent to us is the home of two nice dogs. If our neighbors let them into their back field, there is a chance you and your dog will hear them. If you have aggressive or reactive dogs, PLEASE give me a heads up. Very large fenced areas, lots of running room, and you can see horses nearby! The dogs loved this giant field to run in. There is a lot of bees in the lower portion of the yard near bushes 🐝 so keep a close eye on your pups

Beautiful spot! The 3rd field is what makes this spot, it is huuuuuuuge and my pup loved running back and forth. The neighbor dog did run up to the fence in the 2nd field but he didn't bark or make a fuss and when my reactive pup barked at him he just went back towards his house. You could hear dogs barking from inside the hosts home but my sensitive pup didn't mind it.

This place is awesome! My big pups loved having so much space to roam around and explore! I could totally see how this would be the perfect mid morning spot! Afternoon was just fine but I left their water by the car, my mistake. Montana had water at the entrance for them and a kiddie pool that my water dog Hazel had no problem making her own! We will definitely be back when they reopen next season! Thank you for sharing your space!

The space is absolutely beautiful, and my pup Joey had a blast exploring and sniffing around. It's a huge space! Field two is completely secure, even for a husky. We spent most of our time in field two but also ventured into field three. Since Joey's recall isn’t the best, I leashed him in field three, though it would be great for dogs with solid recall. After just thirty minutes of exploring, he was completely worn out. It’s a really lovely and peaceful area. We’ll be bringing our other two dogs along for the fun next time!

The host has done a great job describing the various fields. My dogs really enjoyed field 3; but as mentioned in the listing, good recall is needed. The boundaries are very easy to discern because of the flags which is so helpful. Field 2 is fully fenced and has toys and lots of room to run around.

This place was amazing. Huge open space. Well fenced. Clear instructions. So peaceful to just walk with my dog and enjoy the beautiful day and be out in nature. This place was so great for our dogs to frolic and explore. They had a blast. It’s a great space with lots of room to play run and just investigate which is what they enjoy most. I really liked the separate spaces too. We saw a horse nearby but not too close to get a ride out of my young pups. The areas are safely contained as well

This place is beautiful! It’s great that the fields are fenced off from each other so that it’s not just 5 whole acres for the dogs to get lost in. It’s kept up very well, with a few different signs and little flags pointing you in the right direction. There was a kiddie pool and bowl of water and lots of toys to choose from. As Montana mentioned, I can imagine if you have a dog under 20 lbs or so the squares in the fence being big enough for them to escape, if they really try. My dogs are 35 lbs and 65 lbs respectfully so that wasn’t an issue at all. We will definitely be back 👍🏼

Great spot! We wanted a huge field for Smokey to have all to himself on his birthday, and it was just what he needed. Directions were helpful. Field 2 is the backyard for the house which is pretty big and fully fenced. There were some horses next door which Smokey seemed fine with but we decided to keep wandering in case he got excited. We ended up spending most our time in field 3 which has tons of space but is only partially fenced. Good area to practice Smokey’s recall which is pretty good but not great. Will definitely be back for some more frisbee.

Today we visited Montana's 5 acre fully fenced dog park in Camas, Washington. Definitely a must visit sniff spot! This spot has 3 fields. We used field #1 the closet to the entry gate. This large grassy field with a nice slope is perfect for us. We have 3 Greyhounds that love to run full speed. This field gives them a nice work out and us a nice quiet evening. Fields 2 and 3 are huge! They're great for pups that have good hearing and recall skills. Not our Greyhounds, they have the attention span of gnats. Montana's dog park is super clean and well maintained with beautiful scenery all around. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and look forward to our next visit.

Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
