55Our pack had the absolute best time at this sniff spot! We brought our 8 dogs (5 are ours, 3 fosters) and it was a blast. They immediately jumped into the pond and enjoyed swimming laps and playing fetch. We walked around the whole pond as they explored, played, and rolled around. It was very beautiful with lots of shaded places to relax. Our husky has a metal plate in her leg from an accident and has never really swam in her life. We thought she was unable to or it was too hard for her, but almost right away she hopped in the pond and swam. Our hearts were so full! We are definitely coming back to this amazing sniff spot. This place is great! We had everything we needed, including cell reception. It’s a mostly dirt path surrounding the pond. Not much grass, so they did get dirty. We had such a wonderful time at Taylor's Pond today. We have two dogs that are both rescues, one of them was abused pretty badly before we rescued him and it has been a long process to rehabilitate him. This was his first official outing and I almost cried seeing him so happy. This place is an absolute gem. The dogs loved running around in the pond, there are swings and hammocks for the humans. Everything is fully fenced and there's even a place to hose the dogs off when you're ready to leave. We will definitely be visiting again! 🐕🐾💦

This was the perfect spot for my reactive dog! She had blast having the whole place to herself, able to sniff and swim stress free. The property and pond were very clean and well kept. The owner was very kind and made sure we were able to find the location and had everything we needed including water bowls, a dog washing station, dog shampoo and towels. Will definitely be bringing my girls back here.

It was very peaceful and the pond is beautiful- I didn’t have an issue with bugs but I was there in the morning. Everything was secure and I had the place to myself- I didn’t see any one around and there were no cars driving through. I did see a few people walking on the trail behind the property. My 3 dogs had a blast, it's pretty and peaceful there, love that it's fenced in so no worries... I have a coonhound that bayed to his heart's content swimming and chasing the poor ducks, he was in heaven howling and I didn't have to worry about bothering anyone ..

FAQ about our Julian dog hiking trails
Are dog hiking trails safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. Our hiking trails tend to be outside the city, which lends to more privacy, but it is also important to follow typical hiking safety precautions, such as potentially having trail maps.
How can I find dog hiking trails in Julian?

How do I know if a dog hiking trail works for my dog?

What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog hiking trail?
In order to hike the trails, we require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not permit dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot hiking trail at the same time as me?
Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
How much do Sniffspot hiking trails cost?
Dog hiking trails in the Julian area range from $4.0 and $39.0. The least expensive dog hiking trail is Melissa's Private Dog Park In Anza.
