Taylor pond is a 5 acre pond located in the heart of Poway. The amenities include a grass yard and yard in the back filled with wood chips and a eucalyptus grove as well of course as the pond. Keep in mind when you bring your dog we turn to work in the yard and also rent out a building in the back to Airbnb. So please make sure your dog is friendly with people.

"This field is huge! My dogs had an amazing time running around and exploring 😍 There is shade under the trees, and the part that wasn't fenced in wasn't an issue for us. If your dogs don't have solid recall, stick to the fenced side. The whole place is so big, you shouldn't have a problem getting a good amount of walking/running in, without coming too close to the un-fenced side. I walked around for about 2 miles, and I'm guessing my dogs probably did twice that 😆 The host was nice and allowed extra time, because I took a wrong turn coming there and was late to my booked time. We will definitely be back."

Nice place for water activities with a dog and had very clean water for June. Easy access to water edge for dog and handler. Has a couple of small docks for 'dog diving'. Will come back regularly to get my retriever water time during summer when there's really nothing else available.

Beautiful spot with so many fun things to explore. Hammocks, tire swings, rock climbing wall, archery, and duck feeding! We had an absolute blast. There were a lot of very nice people milling about. The side gate was open and my dog got out briefly, so maybe check that it's closed before you let them loose if you have a runner. We had a beautiful afternoon stroll around the pond and the dogs were so dirty and exhausted!

Rogue had a blast here. She loved popping in and out of the pond and running all around. Multiple barge type tie outs and she explored each one. There were a variety of ducks in the pond but my girl did not bother them. Bring multiple towels as your dog will get pretty muddy after being in the water. I would definitely use this location again!

A hidden gem! We took our 3 boys, they loved running around and jumping in the pond. The water hose came in handy for fresh drinking water and to wash them off after a good swim. Will be returning soon!

Great location, close to the freeway and main roads. Lots for both my dogs to do and places for humans to sit, could easily spend a few hours here in the hammock and enjoying the space. Highly recommend!

We had an absolute blast at Taylor Pond! The property is gorgeous and well-maintained and my dog loved zooming on the path around the pond, chasing ducks, and sniffing everything. It was also a great birding location and I even saw a couple green heron. The host was very friendly and so were his other human guests who were at the pond fishing. We did not see any dogs there. My pup was very dirty after a swim in the pond and a roll in the dirt so be prepared. There is a spot for water, toys, and hosing off your dog. My dog is reactive to other dogs so it was great to be able to let loose and explore without worry. We will definitely be back!

This a great spot! Fully fenced in and a lot to do, and not just for the dogs. We will definitely be coming back. If your dogs aren’t friendly with other dogs I would just make sure to mention it since there is a dog who lives on the property. But we had no issues with that the dog didn’t even come up to us and kept to herself. But I would keep that in mind. But it’s a fantastic spot! Highly recommend

Great spot, well maintained & lots to sniff and explore. Pond for swimming if your dog is into that. Friendly host. Calm friendly senior dog on the way in the driveway (pull around to the left of the house through the gate for parking). Did not see her in the fenced pond area, but it wouldn't have been a problem for my dog; more likely she would have annoyed the resident dog trying to play! We'll be back.

This was my first time using Sniffspot, and we will definitely come back! There is ample space, it’s well-fenced, and well-maintained. The foxtails are even few and far between, if such things are a concern for your dog. My dog does not like water, but even she enjoyed the smells of the pond and the wildlife it attracted.

My doggos had such an amazing time here! Perfect amount of shade and walking trails. The host was very friendly and guided us to the correct parking spot (remember to drive all the way back until you see the sign). I would suggest taking older leashes/harnesses, as they’ll need a good wash after some play time in the pond and dirt. Also, don’t forget your baggies for dog waste. Overall, I would highly recommend!
