Come for our glorious sunrises on the creek and sunsets in the fields or just to enjoy the day exploring the fields and creek. The dog area starts past the broken black fence behind the house and goes down through the fields and into the woods. I would appreciate it if you would kindly please keep the dogs leashes and wait until you are past the broken fence to allow your dog to do any business. If your dog is under control or if the horses are not out, you can let them loose right after the broken fence. If you think your dog might be nutty with the horses, please take appropriate measures. To get to the creek, go past the broken fence and keep going down the hill to the back tree line. I have included a map in the pictures. And then just keep walking; it’s about five minutes from the house to the trailhead. We have set out fluorescent yellow markers on the trees on the back tree line as you approach the trail. We also put up a blue sign that says “To The Creek” at the trail head. Once in the woods, walk down the steep hill and take the trail to the right at the bottom of the hill, before the little ravine. That trail will take you out to a spot where your dog can splash around and I’ve cut a few trails to explore back there. If you go to the red barn, you’ve gone too far. Welcome to Greek Lake Acres! We are located in Stephens City and we have 23 acres in total. About 5 acres are open grassy fields with an acre sized pond for swimming in the middle, surrounded by woods, complete with a few trails. Feel free to message me after booking for directions- GPS can sometimes try to take you through Lake Fredrick and you can NOT get to us from there. (Google GPS works best to find us) The lake is "swim at your own risk" as we do not have a life guard on duty. The water edge slopes so you can come out with ease. There is NO FISHING permitted in the pond. Again, there is no lifeguard on duty, dogs swim at the responsibility/risk of their owner. Picnic tables are available near the waters edge and also in the trees next to the pond for shade. On the picnic table we have some floating toys for retrieving and also some sanitary bags if you need any. We are pesticide and fertilizer free, so please make sure you have tick/flea preventative because ticks love the woods! We are not fenced in, so recall is very important. The neighbors do have dogs, some wander so friendliness is important. We have chickens who live in their coop, who will remain safe in their coop during your visit. The property does have an abundance of wild life, including but not limited to deer, turkey, geese, ducks, squirrels and fox, but they do not stay around humans or dogs. Parking is on the lake side driveway near the green sign (see photos) Please note we are often outside enjoying our property as well. If you look at the photos, we typically stay in the “red X” area. If we have guests, our dogs are secured in the house. We can’t wait to see you! PS- if you're ever running late or got lost and some of your paid time is used up please feel free to stay a little longer to make up for it if no one else is booked immediately after you.

Lenoure was incredibly kind and met us on our arrival to give us direction. The place is well-maintained but hiking shoes or hiking sandals are a good idea. The grass is simply thickly stalked. One thing to keep an eye out for - if you have a ridiculous pup like mine who loves to roll in the smelliest thing she can find... it's gonna be deer scat or a dead squirrel 🤦🏻‍♀️ Keeping the place clear is a massively unreasonable expectation. We'll be back. With bath wipes 😅

Lenoure’s spot is a little slice of heaven for both canines & their human(s). Chester throughly enjoys himself here. He loves playing in the creek and romping through the field & woods. Lenoure did a great job of creating several walking paths. It’s tranquil. Just wear hiking boots & make sure your pup has good recall.

Lenour’s SniffSpot was incredible! This was my dogs and I’d first SniffSpot experience and it will be hard to top! Bean and I had so much fun at this sniffspot! We had some trouble getting to the creek (fell on some thorny plants but that was part of the fun 😂), but we found it eventually and Bean had so much fun zooming around in the field.

We had a grand time today romping in the fields. Charlie was ecstatic to run, run, run and explore all the paths and was the one to discover the creek first - returning wet and excited urging us to hurry up. I wish I’d worn hiking boots to make the path down to the creek easier but we made due. I’d advise a serious tick check before heading home. I found more than a dozen crawling on my two. Thankfully they’re up to take on flea/tick meds. Charlie and Scout had a fabulous time and are still passed out hours later.

This was our first time ever using Sniffspot and it was awesome! Zero had a great time exploring the field, trails, and creek. Lenoure was a great host! Lenoure’s property is beautiful and nicely maintained. Our Golden’s were so happy to run free off the leash! The creek was definitely a favorite, lots of jumping around chasing balls and sticks. The pups were so worn out, we would love to come back. Lenoure was a great host - she recommended Harvest Gap as a dog friendly place to grab a bite to eat, made for a perfect day!

WOW!! What an absolute gem. We were so grateful the hosts allowed us to bring our kids and have a family picnic! Our kids and pups loved the creek and exploring all around it for nearly two hours. Once we got past the fence, we didn't see a single person, animal, or car....just serene nature. Wear proper shoes/clothing for a wooded hike - a few steep areas, but nothing our toddler couldn't navigate. My husband was already planning "next time" before we even pulled out of the driveway.

What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?

We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?

No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
