High Rock meadow is a 2+ acre securely-fenced natural meadow, surrounded by forest. Please note that this is NOT a manicured lawn space; it is a sloping meadow with uneven footing and heavy ground cover. You can explore a network of walking trails that wind through the perimeter forest, while your dogs romp in the meadow and zoom along the trails. There is no end to sniffing material in this 2-acre playground! Again, the terrain in this spot is uneven and sloping, with some steep areas on the trails and possible muddy areas. Sturdy shoes or boots are recommended. Those with mobility issues may have difficulty moving about in this spot. Additionally, we are located in a rural neighborhood and there are times when neighbors practice shooting. This is more likely to happen on weekends, so please keep this in mind when scheduling with dogs who are distressed by loud noises. I'm currently accepting bookings up to 1 month out. To enter the fenced Sniffspot follow the red reflectors up the grassy lawn hill past the large livestock gate that’s at the top, go around the top corner there is a people sized gate. Easy to find, easy to enter our fenced Sniffspot. Easy latch for coming, and going. If you choose to be adventurous you may choose to visit the forest area behind the fenced area. It’s a steep hill up with natural woodland ground, lots of ferns, beautiful nature untouched. Old trails exist, we have not cleared them in recent years, feel free to explore them if you would like to just know, they are not maintained and certain times of year there is brush and ferns. We have running water with a hose for your convenience at our pump house. You may occasionally see myself, my husband or my elderly mother by the house, and patio, working on the property and gardens, area around our home. We live above farms that takes care of their fields so you may hear mowing in the distance in the valley we set above. Please do not pick, or disturb the fruit on the trees. Please keep children, and all guests off the fence line, and do not step on the gates or fencing. Shut the gates when coming, and going. Please leash your dog/dogs upon arrival until you become aware of the setting. Your reservation must include the correct number of dogs in your visit that is stated in your reservation time. MMF is preferred by puppies, dogs, people, adults and kids alike because it has potable water, power, picnic tables, chairs, several firepits, lit portapotties, 3 swing sets, 3 slides, monkey bars, 3 Forts, a log bridge to cross over Little Ames Creek for when the creek is flowing, a doggy playground, lots of picturesque moss, lighted parking lot, woodchip trails and many footpaths over 5 forested moss covered acres. Parking is near the road, separated by 50 ft of woods, so we suggest that all our doggy friends be leashed until they are on the trails with you. Please leash your dog until into the forest away from the parking area, after that Bob's Your Uncle! Watch kids and dogs in the parking area near the road, and at Ames Creek. A secluded place to dork out and have fun, enjoying a natural Pacific rainforest. Note that the creek is dry in midsummer until the fall and winter rains kick in. Boots are recommended in the fall and winter. Find a map of the main trails in a photo on our MMF Sniffspot site. There are lots of foot trails through the understory ferns. The log bridge can be used to cross Ames Creek, or you can ford it to discover the rest of Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot. Please pack out doggy bags with you because there is no garbage pickup here, please leave no trace. If there is a downpour and you want to wait it out there is a dry shed in the parking area. Keep in mind we also have increased migratory waterfowl in the pasture adjacent. 1 acre of flat field in a beautiful setting. One large tree in the corner. Fully fenced approx 4.5’ with predator fencing. We have motion lights that come on at night, not super bright but makes the spot visible during early night winters. Boarded by two, large pastures, a private road with limited use and our barn. Occasionally during the wet months flocks of geese/ducks may land in the wetlands adjacent. We have goats, turkeys, geese, ducks and chickens but they are on the other side of the property and should not be seen/heard. We have two dogs, Veles and Flora, that will be on the other side of the property or in the house. There is a covered bench and trash can in the spot, fresh water is also available. An outdoor bathroom is available for use, see map. When using the bathroom please keep your pup in your car as it is near our goats and free range chickens. The back yard where you’ll be is all grass with a small patio area surrounded by a secure 6 foot wood fence with a double gated entry. A canopy was just added over the picnic table so there’s a fry space to sit or stand during your visit. We have a table, chairs, and patio umbrellas you’re welcome to use if they’re out as well as any dog toys. Please note that the patio umbrellas are put away during the fall and winter seasons. If it’s raining during your visit or your dog(s) will be doing water play (seasonal extra), I’ll provide a towel(s). There is a power outlet next to the slider you’re welcome to use.

I absolutely love this spot. The trails have fresh wood chips which helps so much with any mud this time of year. The dogs have an absolute ball exploring all the trails and moving through the trees. They never tire of seeing the sights and sniffs. The water bowls are always clean and there is plenty of fresh water provided. The balls are also plentiful and clean as well. I cannot believe how much time and care the owners put into their spot. I also peeked at the expansion they’re working on and I am so excited for that. This is by far my favorite spot and I frequent many in the area. The amount of space, access to a feeling of trails and having it be fully fenced as well as clean and so well maintained makes it hands down a 5 star experience.

Love this spot. We are introducing our reactive older dog to my son's puppy. This place was perfect. Quiet and large enough to give him the space he needed to tolerate a very active puppy. Clean and well maintained. Paths have wood chips to help control the mud very much appreciated! I now have three happy tired dogs. Thank you High Rock Meadow.

We had so much fun at this spot. The fence was beautifully maintained even for our small dog who likes to find holes. Spot had fresh wood chips that saved it from being overly muddy. My 3 year old loved finding all the special things in the trees. We will definitely be back!

I wish I could give High Rock Meadow more than 5 stars. ⭐️ Not only is it hands down the best SniffSpot in the area with secure fencing, so much space to run and explore, well-maintained trails, and all of the supplies that any dog and human might need — Phyllis is also such a thoughtful and hardworking host. This was the first time I've ever booked a sniffspot and I my dog and I both absolutely loved it! The place was so clean and he had tons or room to run around. My 9 dog crew and I had a wonderful time. There was still lots of snow for the dogs to enjoy in the meadow portion, but the driveway was very safe to drive on and the trails were clear and dry as well. I don't even know where to begin. The directions were easy to follow, signs posted at just the right places upon arriving at the property. There was a personalized, sweet welcome sign awaiting us. A fantastic spot! Signage made it easy to find the spot and parking. Securely fenced all around. The hill gets a little steep at points but it is manageable in wet/muddy conditions because of the wood chip paths around the perimeter and cross crossing the spot. Very nice relatively flat meadow in the center of the area for ball/stick throwing. Tons of huge trees and fun decor around the spot. We’ll be back!
