55I highly recommend visiting here. Once we were in the correct area to run it was one of the best times we've had at a spot. There were friendly dogs who greeted us at the driveway but they were sent inside after the owner was alerted we were there. I imagine in the future the dogs will be inside ahead of time. I think a good way to describe how we got to the area designated for Sniffspot on our visit was to go straight down the turn off from the road past the house on the right, between the red and tan buildings, past a second tan building and stop by the picnic table. The very last part of the drive was muddy but our RAV4 did fine and I would guess it's only muddy because it's spring. I took pictures to try to show how large the space is but I don't know how well they come across. Our dog is a fetch fanatic and I could chuck the ball as hard as possible and he never ran out of room. That's huge in our world. There were a couple of people walking between the buildings at one point but they were so far off our reactive Rip didn't notice. One of the coolest features is that there are horses all over. Some next to the field we were in, some in far off pastures and a small pony walking with someone. The pasture was cut short with no burrs. There was an area we didn't go into because it looked a little wet until the very end when Rip confirmed that it indeed was wet and he was going to lay down in it. We will be returning soon. FAQ about our Oronoco dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks.
