Wonderlane

Fully Fenced
2 acres

Enjoy an enchanting Pacific Northwest rainforest adventure at Wonderlane World Famous Sniffspot for Dogs and Their Best Friends - Bring your friends and their dogs too! Unleash your dogs and frolic with your beloved friends in the lush embrace of our hilly Pacific Northwest natural rainforest. Wonderlane invites you and your best pals to explore 66 years of history across 2 acres of established trails, over 9 terraces, under towering old-growth trees, listening to the gentle murmur of a clear creek, accessible by your choice of 2 gates. If you wish maximum security please close the black entrance gate behind you before you park. From the parking area choose your path— the left or right trailhead gates —and meander down Flying Horse Lane or Waggin' Tail Lane to The Landing Pad, where trails weave into playful circles perfect for a game of ‘Hide and Go Seek’ or a chase! At the forest edge, the Madhatter trail invites you to a serene creek, a secret haven at our fully fenced sanctuary. For environmental reasons, the creek area is not fenced. Our hilly forested land, a tapestry of guardrails, fences, gates, natural barriers, rolling trails, springs and creeks, is a haven for play. These trails, originally created for horses, have been lovingly reclaimed from invasive brush and dead trees, now fun for paws and feet alike. We’ve nurtured this tranquil forest back to life by planting more than 600 saplings. The canopy of Hemlock, Douglas Fir, Western Red Cedar, Yew, BigLeaf Maple, and Alder, filled out as soon as there was more light. These trails whisper stories of the past. In the spring, summer, and fall, lush frilly leaves decorate every breeze with greenery in motion. Wonderlane is more than a place; it’s an experience—a Sniffspot designed with your dog’s joy in mind. While they dash through wood chips and Pacific Northwest duff, under ferns you’ll enjoy the sight of a 20-acre forested wetland, a living vista of nature. This forest is alive with the songs of songbirds - sparrows, finches, thrushes, grosbeaks, and a host of other birds, such as majestic American Bald Eagles are seen here. Walk, run, or pause on our soft wide paths and let the forest’s secrets reveal themselves uniquely to you. We’ve spent more than five years crafting this haven, just a mile from the South Sound, for you and your friends to run, walk, sit, and revel in the company of your pups. And when the day’s adventures are done, two Starbucks await to refresh you, 3 minutes and 5 minutes away. Join our community on Bluesky @wonderlane.bsky.social, or Facebook https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61556216197208, or by searching for “Wonderlane World Famous Sniffspot,” or ask a warm and friendly nearby AI to direct your browser to us, and to see tales of joy. Wonderlane walks in the woods is where nature’s heart beats, inviting you to breathe in the peaceful air, one paw print at a time! If your dog ever hesitates to leave, a ring of the Magic Chuck Waggin’ Triangle will bring them running back. Reminder in summer, or if visiting around twilight bring repellent or wear it when you drop into the forest, and if you choose, onto the creek area. The creek is best for physically fit individuals. If you need assistance or more info, please contact us directly. Keeping Wonderlane pristine is a collective effort, and we value your help in maintaining the beauty of our shared space. Please use the garbage bins at the top driveway entrance for disposal of any waste. Please close the hydrants completely. Press the hydrant water handle into the completely closed position after use. If the water is not pressed completely closed it affects our water system pressure. As of Nov 1 2024 the lower water hydrants in the spot are off for the winter. Please close every gate. Dogs must be leashed going to and coming from the parking area, and may be unleashed when entering the dog park. We rely upon guests to contact us and tell us immediately if they need anything. To be fully fenced please roll shut the main gate after you park. There are also 2 sets of gates at the top of each trail to the Sniffspot. The forest area is fully fenced, some doubled. There are 2 gates that lead to the creek so you can control access. PS if you wonder about the fencing here, some guests want the creek fenced too, which isn't possible due to environmental reasons. Please roll the gate into the open and securely hooked position when you leave, thank you! Enjoy the forest’s magic at Wonderlane. --------------------------------------- Thank you to the many regulars, Sniffpass holders, and new guests who clean up after their dogs so very well! Proud of our community! *********************************** Created in memory of Rosie Lane, beloved dog. *********************************** If Wonderlane Sniffspot is booked you might love our sister site in the forest right outside the town of Redmond Washington - Magical Mossy Forest - https://www.sniffspot.com/listings/redmond-wa/magical-mossy-forest-69904

Camp Dilly Dally Doggie Park In Buckley

Partially Fenced
5 acres

We offer five acres of partially mowed fields and a natural wooded area. There is a small pond and access to South Prairie Creek. The creek has a variable current, so it may be best for larger dogs. The pond would be ideal for smaller dogs who aren't strong swimmers. Trails began as deer/elk trails but have been improved. There are some small logs and rocks here and there to step over so sturdy shoes are recommended. The leaves that cover the trails in the fall may be a little slippery, so take care.

Pepper's Pasture in Gig Harbor

Fully Fenced
1.5 acres

New: Year-End Special--bring leaves, pumpkins, and other compostables in exchange for discount codes! See below. Also new: big dirt pile beside driveway from sitework--just drive on past to the sniffspot Beautiful sloped pasture with some woods at the lower end. 1.5 acres. If desired, you can drive right into the pasture and secure the gate behind you before letting your dog(s) loose. It changes by the season. In summer, the grass grows tall and you can enjoy the shade of alders in the lower portion. A seasonal creek runs through it in winter and spring. Your dog may find the scent of deer where they've bedded down at night, though it's unlikely that any will be present for your visit. You will see that I've planted and protected some fruit trees and native plants here and there. A sheltered area allows you to sit in the shade or out of the rain, and that's where you'll also find most amenities, such as toys and water. Access: There are two driveways onto the property. Use the north entry, with the "Pepper's Pasture" sign. After driving up that driveway, you'll see a "Sniffspot" sign on the gate into the pasture. Year-End Special: I've moved the compost pile to the left side of the entry driveway and will compensate donations: $5 discount per big bag of leaves, $5 per pumpkin/jack-o-lantern. Let me know what you brought/are planning to bring and I'll respond with a personalized promo code to use at Pepper's Pasture. You can empty the leaves onto the pile or leave them bag and all and I'll take care of it. Cardboard (non-glossy) and other compostables also welcome. Text me at 253-346-5863 or reach out via the Sniffspot app. to get your discounts. Thanks!

124 Acre Conservation Farm Trails Fields Fun

Unfenced
124 acres

Follow our FB page for open days. Farm store now open! Swing in before your appointment and grab some retro sodas, dog beer (YES I SAID DOG BEER!), artisan smores kits and so much more! CASHLESS sales at the store please. Malaney Creek Farm is a 124 acre conservation farm comprised of fields, forest and wetlands. 3+ miles of private trails, open grassy fields. Trails are marked to keep you pointed in the right direction. Picnic tables, covered areas to duck out of the weather and portable restroom with hand sanitizer. Your sniffspot staging area is located in what we call our "Cascara" campsite. Covered picnic table, adirondack chairs, firepit and a big green grassy field. This spot is a central location near the portable restroom, easy drive in access, and a base location for exploring the trail network. Our trail system has been a labor of love. We enjoy providing unique experiences and highlighting the natural beauty of the forest and wetlands on the property. Once home to giant cedar trees the property was purchased by the Great Northern Railway in the late 1800's. A railroad system was built here and the giant cedars logged and milled onsite. You wouldn't be able to tell that now as the forest is doing a wonderful job of repairing itself. We do have a few artifacts scattered about that have been found that you will see on your walks. A large concrete trestle base, railway beams, rail spikes and misc metal items from the trains and equipment. Most of our trails accommodate hiking and mountain bikes (yes E-bikes are allowed ;), however the hiking only trails are really evolving. Our new wetlands trail is a quick link between Casacara and the Beargrass island trail. It is foot traffic only and features hand hewn cedar bridges made from cedar logs left behind by the logging operation over 100 years ago! Log rounds to hop across wet areas and places to stop and soak in the quiet. There is a diverse landscape of rare native plants on this hike and foraging opportunities abound! Fiddle head ferns, chicken of the woods and more! Our most prized flora is a large patch of Labrador Tea. A very rare species of plant related to the rhododendron that native american peoples used as a medicinal healing tea. So come out and explore! Bring appropriate footwear, your furry hiking buddies, a bottled water, and a camera. We look forward to hosting you! PLEASE NOTE, IF YOU CANCEL WITHIN THE 2 HOUR WINDOW BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT THERE ARE NO REFUNDS. WE BLOCK OUT ALL DAY BOOKINGS FOR SNIFFSPOT APPOINTMENTS. Check out our website, insta and FB page for more photos too! Happy Sniffing!!l

Dog Nirvana in Maple Valley - 10 plus acres fully fenced!

Fully Fenced
10 acres

Come enjoy yourself in the country! We have over 10 fully fenced acres that include two spring-fed private ponds for dogs that like the water, some slight hills for running and playing, lots of wide open space and a beautiful creek. There will be no dogs, people or animals outside on my property during your visit. Please just bring your own toys and pick up after your dogs. I look forward to welcoming you! * The entire 10+ acre perimeter of the property is steel mesh fencing with poles and/or steel mesh fencing in horse fencing to keep the entire perimeter secure and safe. PLEASE NOTE there are TWO FENCING SYSTEMS here -- the internal pastures that are fenced in 3 rail white fencing and the perimeter fencing which consists of steel mesh to the ground and large log poles and/or 3 rail fencing with steel mesh down to the ground. The pasture fencing is located INSIDE of the separate property perimeter fencing. If a dog runs under the white interior pasture fencing they are still secured within the perimeter system. * The front gate and a service gate are metal with horizontal rails with 6.5 inches between each rail. Smaller dogs could potentially get out through the rails. A picture of the gate is included in listing photos so that guests can assess whether the gate will be an issue for them so they can determine whether this property will be appropriate for their pup(s). * This property is pretty secluded. Two sides of the property are surrounded by conservation land (woods), one by a quiet neighborhood road (with the only house set back and not visible while on my property) and the fourth (above the house and barn) by 60 acres in two parcels. The neighbors ' horses might be seen in the distance along the upper side of my property and you might hear their dogs barking from several acres away periodically. * Several pastures have covered horse sheds in them that can be used by visitors for shelter from rain or sun. * There is a dog dish for water, a container of water, poop bags and several garbage cans for doggie poop bags! * If you bring additional guests with pups PLEASE make sure they are aware of all information/rules shared in the listing and via message by the host. * Carey Creek runs along the entire south side of the lowest pasture. It is fully useable for guests. it is on my property but outside of our secure fences so if you go out the gates at the bottom of the property to get to the creek you should leash up if your dog has poor recall. * We have access across the road from the property to 1800 + acres with 30 miles of trails on Taylor Mountain (King County Park) so make it a day and come enjoy our little slice of heaven!

Magical Mossy Forest

Unfenced
5 acres

Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot is a large mystical woodland adventure for dogs in Redmond on the way to Carnation. Boots are recommended in the winter rain. MMF is preferred by puppies, dogs, people, adults and kids alike because it has potable water, power, picnic tables, chairs, several firepits, lit portapotties, 3 swing sets, 3 slides, monkey bars, 3 Forts, a log bridge to cross over Little Ames Creek for when the creek is flowing, a doggy playground, lots of picturesque moss, lighted parking lot, woodchip trails and many footpaths over 5 forested moss covered acres. Parking is near the road, separated by 50 ft of woods, so we suggest that all our doggy friends be leashed until they are on the trails with you. Please leash your dog until into the forest away from the parking area, after that Bob's Your Uncle! Watch kids and dogs in the parking area near the road, and at Ames Creek. A secluded place to dork out and have fun, enjoying a natural Pacific rainforest. Note that the creek is dry in midsummer until the fall and winter rains kick in. Boots are recommended in the fall and winter. Find a map of the main trails in a photo on our MMF Sniffspot site. There are lots of foot trails through the understory ferns. The log bridge can be used to cross Ames Creek, or you can ford it to discover the rest of Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot. Please pack out doggy bags with you because there is no garbage pickup here, please leave no trace. If there is a downpour and you want to wait it out there is a dry shed in the parking area. Access to power helps keep your batteries charged. Please carry your toilet paper (sorry it walks away). The portapotties are cleaned once a week. Woodland Tranquility Pathways - find solitude!

Partially Fenced
5 acres

Off-grid Sniffspot location in rural Snohomish Washington! You will have the entire 5-acre property to yourself to enjoy! This part of our property is only used for Sniffspot guests. Would be perfect for those that don’t want to interact with others (i.e. cars driving by, strangers, the neighbors... ‘chatty hosts/property owners’😉). Safe place for adventurous individuals that prefer to explore alone with their doggo(s), a doggie daycare retreat, a memorable late evening of star-gazing, or a safe place for a highly reactive dog to have fun. Details: 5 acres, off-grid experience (no power or running water) with it’s own private entrance. Two grassy sloping yard areas with “Tranquility Trails” that loop up the hill. Secluded, native woodland with mowed grass. There are (overgrown) cottage style gardens. During your visit, feel free to pick blueberries, wild blackberries, apples or roses — or pull weeds — if that’s fun for you. 😉. This location is very relaxing. Plan for a couple hours or more to enjoy the quiet, rural lifestyle. TIP: if you have any concerns about your pup(s) going down the driveway, feel free to close the gate for added safety. Note: We are raising money to renovate the cottage located on the property by hosting a Sniffspot. Please do not explore inside the house, a roof collapse could happen before we can arrange for it to be replaced.

Pig Beach (near Port Ludlow)

Fully Fenced
0.63 acres

A .63 acre dog sanctuary for you and your pup. The yard is well maintained with dog friendly grass and has incredible views of the Hood Canal and Puget Sound. If you're interested, there is private beach access for you and your pup to explore miles of beach (public but almost always empty). There are numerous dog toys available and a massive 6+ person, dog friendly couch (late Spring to early Fall) you can relax on and watch the canal when you need a break! Regarding the beach, there are approximately 50 steps which you will need to climb up and down to access the beach so please wear proper footwear. As this is on the Hood Canal and not a lake or a pond, tides impact the size of the beach. If you are hoping to walk endless miles of beach, the tide will need to be at 2ft or below. Anything under 4ft will give you a massive area (probably 1/2 mile or more) and almost guaranteed private area as only people with stairs can access the beach at this tide level. Though the beach is open at any point, I think the maximum height you would probably want to go is about 6.5ft. This still gives you and your dog a decent sized area to play in (approximately 500ft by 30ft or 1/2 acre). Photos 16 and 17 show the beach at 6.25ft with a very large sandy area for you and your pup to play in. Anything above 6.5 ft is not recommended as the beach just gets thinner and thinner, but you're able to try if you want. (no refunds given if you don't like what you find). You are responsible for checking out the tides before you go. Legally, I can't recommend any specific source for you to use, but you might find good information Googling "tide chart port ludlow". Regarding ADA Accessibility, my property is on a gently sloping hill. To access it, there are 2 very wide concrete steps to get to the grass. This would be doable for someone on crutches and probably ok for a regular wheelchair if you had a second person to help lower you to each step and pull you up. It's definitely not accessible to a motorized wheelchair. Sorry. Note - restroom is only available if I'm home, otherwise there is one approximately 2 miles northwest at the gas station in Port Ludlow

Shady Hill Hobby Farm

Fully Fenced
4 acres

Welcome to Shady Hill Hobby farm! Our farm offers a wooded pasture with a creek (note: during summer months the creek is muddy) that is fully fenced with horse fencing or barbed wire (see pictures). The gate at the end of the gravel path begins your off-leash experience! Once inside, you'll have the option to take a left to enjoy the creek or continue up the hill to explore the woods and pasture. Upon entering the farm, parking will be on your right. Please park your vehicle on the wood chips. Given this is an active farm with chickens and ducks free ranging we do ask that you keep your dog(s) on a leash until you are behind the Sniffspot gate. You are also welcome to observe the farm animals while your dog is leashed as well. We hope you enjoy our farm as much as we do. ~ Hall Family

SO sorry Sniffers, we have to close… *Our hearts have been SO warmed by you precious sniffers! To the seniors, the fosters, the super swimmers, and first timers, the paddle boarders, the sharks, the littles and the BIGs….thank you!! 💕🐾 Welcome to those who don't mind a makeshift metal accordion and netting "gate" at the top of the driveway. This sniffspot is primarily for you sniffers who want to swim and fetch in the lake…or take your human out to paddle board or kayak! This sniffspot is our second lot, next to our house lot. You will have 80’ of lake front (patio and grass), a 30’ wide swim area with easy in & out stairs and pea gravel lake bottom…plus the whole lake if you venture out! Towels, fridge, tables, seating, drinks, snacks, human life jackets, doggie life jackets (select sizes) & toys provided! Paddle boards and kayaks available for rental on the spot. *All proceeds go toward improving the sniff spot! Suggestions welcomed! 55This was our second visit to this paddock. (The first time was our first visit to any Sniffspot). Our dog loves it. We book it for an hour. It is big enough for her to run many times after her fave ball, and then also be able to do some training time, as well. The neighboring paddocks provide some great opportunities for training distractions, with the added bonus of fencing and a bit of distance to help with focus. It is quite a long drive from our home in Seattle, so it’s nice that there are (portable) restrooms available, in case they are ever needed. The people we met were all nice to us. No one hassled us for occupying the paddock longer than the training patrons are permitted. We were careful not to enter until the hour we leased started, and left promptly when the hour was over. It’s nice that there are bags and a trash bin available right on the fence, in case we ever run out. And it’s nice that this field/paddock is well-maintained by everyone who uses it. The field was clean, with nice grass, and without any unexpected messes left by others. We brought our dog’s own water bottle, as we always do when going to off-leash parks. We didn’t ask if there were a water source to refill it from, but I expect we may ask that question when warmer weather appears. We will be back, and will try to explore how to sign up and explore the add-on amenities. Looking forward to exploring the water access, training options and bigger field amenity in the future. Thank you to our hosts for their hospitality.

55Great big ol' field for frolicking! Use the map they have pictured on the profile, not the field apple maps takes you to. The picture shows you drive down the road a bit more, where you can park and where the gate is. It wasn't mowed when we were there so it was the perfect bounding and scent work field for us with no surrounding distractions. Garbage truck did go by in the distance on this day if you have a sound sensitive pup.

55Had an amazing time bringing Soba to Patrick's farm! First of all, the property itself is amazing. I don't even know how many acres it is, but he had multiple pastures that were multiple acres each. The pasture we played in was long and narrow, securely fenced on three sides and open on one side. I had no issues with Soba escaping. There is another open pasture that is fully fenced for dogs that may tend to run more. The farm has some free range chickens by the house, so make sure your dog is under control when not in the pasture. I am going to come back again and bring a couple more dogs!

55"Really enjoyed Patrick’s farm, and my dogs LOVED the space. The dog run lot is on the lower portion of the property, so you don’t go up the hill to the main house entrance, but turn right on a little gravel road right before and stop at the first gate on the left, where they’ll let you in. They leave out a bucket of water, which is really thoughtful! We also got to say hi to some super sweet cows, which I LOVED! Great location and great hosts."

55The horses at Drago's farm are 5 star amazing! I can't think of a better way to introduce a dog to horses. Both horses (or horse and pony) were calm and non-threatening and one was extremely friendly in a gentle way. This would not be a good place for any dogs who might be aggressive to or harass horses, as they are loose in the area. The owners put their dog away as I arrived and barking could be heard occasionally. Hosts were friendly and were in the area at times, so guests should notify hosts if their dogs are reactive to people. I would not recommend off leash activity here at this time- too many potential hazards. There was a pile of boards with nails sticking out of them along the driveway and areas of fencing down. But for poking around on leash, it was very enjoyable. There is a hillside to clammer up, pile of rocks to climb on, ducks in a pond to watch, pastures to wander through, and the setting is very peaceful and quiet. And awesome horses!

55This is such a cute farm and Kaleigh is a perfect host...super attentive and very relaxed, I felt immediately comfortable and at ease. I messaged prior to let her know we'd like to play alone (Cooper's not always great with other dogs) and when we arrived Kaleigh was there to greet us and her dogs were inside the house as promised. She gave me a quick tour then I let Cooper off his leash. I could tell there were lots of dog smells because he was immediately all over the place sniffing an exploring. Honestly, I was a little embarrassed because he's normally very mellow and obedient but he was so excited here he was pretty much ignoring me completely. Kaleigh has a lot of experience with dogs and was completely unbothered and when Cooper started harassing her cat (which completely surprised me since we had a cat), she did not mind one bit and simply put the cat in the garage. After awhile Cooper settled down and we wandered about and splashed around in the creek a bit. The farm is very well maintained...the grass was mowed, all the farm animals are totally secure and everything is tidy. I came across no hazards whatsoever here. Kaleigh pointed out one low spot in the fencing but, even after I knew where it was, I could barely see it...plus I really can't imagine it would be possible for anyone to get through because it's completely blocked by several feet of very thick tall blackberries. However, the gate from the road does stay open so your dog would need to have good enough recall to avoid going in that direction. I was a little worried about it in the beginning when Cooper was spazzing out and not listening but it was actually never a problem for us and we had a really fun visit. Kaleigh had some family over and was outside the duration of our visit which turned out to be a really nice surprise...I had a great time chatting with her and Cooper just loved all the attention from the humans. Really appreciate Kaleigh's hospitality and kindness and looking forward to another visit. Thanks Kaleigh! ♥

55We loved the mini farm. There are 2 large pastures where the dogs can run around and small creek in the middle where they can jump to cool down. Kaleigh is a great host are her dog is very friendly and well behaved. My dogs had a great time playing with Kaleigh's dog and were very tired when we were ready to head home (note: you can let Kaleigh know if you don't want her dog to be out while you are there). The property is beautiful and well kept, and as a bonus, she has a small flower garden and sells nice bouquets. We will definitively go back.

55Kayleigh and her dogs, Swish and Dudley, are fantastic hosts! We visited with a friend and both of our dogs. The dogs had a ton of room to play and a creek to explore. They did really well with the cows, goats, turkeys, and chickens even though our dogs have not been around other types of animals before. The fencing is ideal for this kind of first time interaction. Thanks, Kayleigh!

55This was our favorite Sniffspot yet! Lots of room for fetch and a tiny creek for splashing in. The owner left us out some chairs and fresh water for the pups, which was very kind of her, and closed the gate after we arrived so the dogs would be contained on the property. There are lots of farm animals, but they are securely fenced in. Our dogs were a bit concerned about the cows and were fascinated with the chickens and turkeys, but quickly settled down with some redirection. Overall a beautiful piece of property with lots of room to play - we only wish we could've stayed longer!

55Both Kayleigh and her husband John with their two golden retrievers were so hospitable and welcoming throughout our stay. We appreciate this. My 10 mos old St Berdoodle also had a great time at the farm checking out the animals and poking around at creek. I recommend this great spot for pet owners hoping to socialize their dog with animal farms all within the city of Auburn. Will come again.

55This is our 2nd time here. Kaleigh is super sweet and very responsive and answered all of my questions right away. This is a pretty cute little property and has a decent amount of space to play. If your dog likes fetch they will be in heaven here. There is a small creek that runs through the property which is really nice for drinking and rinsing dirty feet and the grass is in really great shape despite all the rain so, other than some patches near the creek, there was really no mud. We did close the gate after we drove through which is sufficient for my boy but please note pups should have decent recall here as the road does have some traffic and any dog could easily get through the fence. There are a few farm animals in a fenced area at the far end and it looks like there are a number of projects going on here and there...but the animals are all very dog savvy and we roamed all over and didn't come across any hazards. This visit there were some chickens in a coop so, even though they were all enclosed, they were very upset when my dog approached. Apparently they were new to the farm as of the night before so I assume in the future they'll be in a safer spot away from the Sniffspot area. Otherwise very uneventful, pleasant visit. Thanks Kaleigh!

This is our 2nd time here. 55Really nice place, beautiful plantings. The host was super friendly. Lots of goats and chickens safely behind a fence so our dogs could watch them but couldn't get to them. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous property with us!
