Very very tall grass with some burrs so I won't be bringing my heavily coated dogs, but the burs brushed right out of Fezzik.

55We had a GREAT time, there’s tons of room and many different things for your dog to run around and smell. The owner was very nice and had two chairs set out. It’s 4 hours later and my dog is still absolutely fast asleep. 100% will be going back.
Like another reviewer said, wear long pants if you want to walk around in the long grass with your dog! One thing I will mention - if you/your dog have bee allergies or a fear of bees, be aware there are quite a few buzzing around right now, just bc of fallen fruit in the front part of the area which appears to have long ago been an apple orchard. The back half of the run is covered in long grass and free of bees. (I also imagine this is very seasonal and the bees leave when the apples do!) Just wanted to mention this for anybody who might need to anticipate allergy preparedness. Tyler A.

55Melissa was very welcoming, helpful and tolerant of our over excited young dog as we made our way past the horses and alpaca to the fenced area. There's lots of room for the dogs and humans to roam, mostly covered by tall grasses. Some places were soggy and wet after all the rain, making it all that much more fun from our dog's perspective. 55We had a great time playing at Melissa's, next time we'll stay longer! Plenty to explore and the fenced area is big but it was easy to keep my eye on Zora wherever she went. The horses and alpacas are so sweet (they do not go in and cannot be seen from the area for the dogs). Wear boots because there is a small stream in the very back so it's a little muddy in some spots. Melissa was great and greated us as soon as we arrived and gave us the lay of the land.Shannon W.

55Fantastic spot with a very friendly host (and some friendly horses and alpacas!). The lobby grass is great for leaping pit bulls, and perfect for sniffing and hunting for toys and treats. My dog loved it here. Wear long pants and waterproof boots so you can stomp around in the mud and grass with your pup. Keep a tight hold on your dog if they might be over excited by the close proximity to horses and alpacas on the way to the secluded back field. Lorenzo F.

55This is a great spot close to Portland to take your dog to stretch their legs in a fully-fenced in area. Melissa has a few horses and two alpacas that are so friendly and laid back. Our dog gets a little nervous and vocal around new animals and her horses and alpacas didn't seem phased at all. The fenced area has a lot of taller grass that's almost like a maze in parts, which made it really fun to run around with our dog. We will definitely be back!Stan P.

55This was our first sniff spot visit and it was great. Melissa was very helpful in showing me where to park, and walking us to the back pasture. My young dog was reactive with the horses and alpacas, but they were calm and allowed her to experience them for the first time. I was grateful that Melissa was also calm while my dog was reacting to her animals. The back area is fenced, large and there are alot of areas to sniff and run around in tall grass. I was a little nervous about letting them run too close to the horse pasture but they will get used to it and I will too as I am sure we will be back!Leah K.

55The boys had a blast and the horses weren't even around (bed time). Hooman had some trouble figuring out where to park at first (hint: turn right at mailbox with traffic triangle.! Melissa graciously showed us where to go and what's what. The creek was definitely their favorite. So happy I didn't bring tennis balls. They would have been lost. Sticks did the trick.. You'll have way more fun with boots (in the winter for sure). Running in the high grass brought out all the zoomies they needed. Definitely going back. Ines D.

55Melissa met us in the driveway to direct us to the parking area and detail the property for us. The dogs loved running through the tall grass and wandering through a couple spots with standing water. Definitely bring boots! The property has horses so there is horse poop around, but people seemed to do a good job picking up dog poop. We heard gun shots on a neighboring property, which the dogs noticed but didn’t mind. It was a nice opportunity for the dogs to see horses and alpaca. Prepare to take the dogs straight to the bathtub after their muddy frolics. Karen H.

55This was a wonderful spot for Ollie - the area is fully enclosed so he could be off-leash without worrying. So many smells and sniffs and a creek to explore. You have to pass through a field with horses which was a novelty for him, the horses were not bothered by him at all and they don’t come up to you. Melissa was incredibly kind and it was such an easy, wonderful experience all round. We will definitely be back to this one Stephanie D.

55As per usual, fantastic day. The creek was way high but that didn't keep the boys from swimming and chasing sticks, getting muddy and rolling in the high grass. The llamas and horses were there today. They were so chill and cute. Horses showed little interest but the llamas were curious. Already booked my next sniff. Merry Xmas 🎅🎄🎉Ines D.

55The Portuguese Water Dogs had a blast playing in the flooded field from the torrential downpour last night. We weren't able to get close to the creek because we weren't dressed for it but the dogs had a great time scampering through the field and dry land, back and forth. The alpacas and horses were fun to walk by and if the dogs hadn't seen critters that big it would have been a good socialization (at a distance). All in all, lots of fun and we will be back. Thanks, Melissa!Deana A.

55I've been coming here for the past couple weeks. You and your dog will have fun if :
- Your dog (s) have good off leash recall
- you bring boots in the wet months
- your dog (s) is good around/near horses/alpacas.
- you don't mind getting muddy or having a muddy dog
(bring towels if you like your car's upholstery 😂)
Facts:
- Melissa will give you a tour and explain all this on your first visit.
- Like all other sniffspots, it is your responsibility to check the perimeter/fence line. If you are concerned you can leave your dog in the car while you take the tour and inspect.
- Between the 1st & 2nd gate, your dog(s) need to be on a leash in the horse pasture for the protection of the horses, alpacas and your dog. The alpaca fencing is electrified because a stallion shares that area with them and that keeps him from going on un sanctioned dates with the mares. So you walk to the second gate with dog(s) on a leash. Great training opportunity right there.
- The alpacas will come investigate your arrival behind that electric fencing. Don't pet them without the owners approval. Don't let the dogs too close to the fence cuz like I said it's electrified.
- An electrified fence does not mean that it's dog proof. The purpose of the fence is to keep the alpacas in their area. You are responsible to keep your dog(s) out.
- The mares, if they are out grazing might look at you and might consider walking up. If you don't feel comfortable make sure to let Melissa know before your scheduled visit so she can make arrangements. In most cases they'll ignore you and the dogs tho.
- Part of the play area is a marsh. That's why you need boots during the rainy season.
- The owners provide access to the creek. It's not their creek. If it's not safe to go during a rain storm or immediately thereafter, don't go. You are a guest and that's a perk (not a dog given right, pun intended).
- The fencing is down to access that creek area. It's barb wire covered by high grass. Dogs figure out to hop over it pretty quick. Watch your step so you don't trip.
- Creeks rise when it rains. The flow can be very strong. Coming when it rains will probably lead to some swift water situation so swimming is not recommended for any dog/person.
- There are blackberry bushes in the play area. There are also some thorns here and there (mostly along the fence line and some sporadic spurts near the marsh). If you have sensitive skin/clothing/feelings, stay out.
- You might step in horse poop.
- The dog(s) might step/roll/eat horse poop.
- You and your dogs might get muddy in the rainy season.
- This is not the best place to play fetch with a tennis ball. It will probably get lost (turn to trash). There are plenty sticks to fetch tho. Also found a coconut today. Genius plan 😂
- Did I mention having good recall? Yeah. But it's worth mentioning again. The fence has been taken over by vegetation in some areas so it is below 4ft in some spots. There is more of the same on the other side of the fence where that is the case so it's not a huge deal if your dog has good recall (or a long lead).
- If your dog is aggressive towards horses, alpacas and has no recall or basic obedience please don't ruin it for the rest of us and go some place else where no livestock is present.
If this all sounds like a mission you are willing to accept you and your dogs will have a fantastic time. Ines D.

FAQ about our Battle Ground dog water parks
Are dog water parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. If you are worried about whether you can have an enjoyable water experience, just know that it is possible to have peace of mind when visiting dog waterparks by following basic safety guidelines. Some great ways to stay safe around water with your dog include learning canine CPR and keep an eye on your dog at all times to ensure they are not distressed. You can learn more about safety around water here.
How can I find the best dog water parks in Battle Ground?
There are 26 dog water parks in the Battle Ground area. The most popular dog water park is Nature in the City Private Dog Park. You can browse all of our dog water parks here.
How do I know if a dog water park works for my dog?
Start by applying basic filters, such as fencing and distractions, to find a dog park that works for your dog. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our fully fenced dog water parks. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog water parks where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. Make sure to review the amenities of the spot to see what kind of water features are offered to make sure it works for your dog. If your dog is not a strong swimmer, then perhaps choose a dog water park with tamer water features rather than a river or beach, for instance. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions, and of course, checking water park hours.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot water park?
We require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Additionally, we recommend following our water safety guidelines.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot water park at the same time as me?
Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
How much do Sniffspot dog water parks cost?
Dog water parks in the Battle Ground area range from $10.0 and $10.0. The least expensive dog water park is Wild Timber Land. The most expensive dog water park is Wild Timber Land. Each host sets their own price, so you can check the price on the specific Sniffspot dog park listing.
Can I have an event or party at a dog water park?
If you are planning an amazing dog water park party, each Sniffspot water park has their own rules regarding special events. Many water parks allow doggie birthday parties, training and other event types. Event organizers need to be responsible for their guests and event organizers should coordinate with the host regarding their fun party.
What are the coolest doggie water features available?
