We have plenty of parking, our setting is very private above large homestead acreage quiet farmland fields of the Schwarzmiller River Valley, Barkley Park is just 3 miles from old town Lake Stevens. To enter the fenced Sniffspot follow the red reflectors up the grassy lawn hill past the large livestock gate that’s at the top, go around the top corner there is a people sized gate. Easy to find, easy to enter our fenced Sniffspot. Easy latch for coming, and going. If you choose to be adventurous you may choose to visit the forest area behind the fenced area. It’s a steep hill up with natural woodland ground, lots of ferns, beautiful nature untouched. Old trails exist, we have not cleared them in recent years, feel free to explore them if you would like to just know, they are not maintained and certain times of year there is brush and ferns. We have running water with a hose for your convenience at our pump house. You may occasionally see myself, my husband or my elderly mother by the house, and patio, working on the property and gardens, area around our home. We live above farms that takes care of their fields so you may hear mowing in the distance in the valley we set above. Please do not pick, or disturb the fruit on the trees. Please keep children, and all guests off the fence line, and do not step on the gates or fencing. Shut the gates when coming, and going. Please leash your dog/dogs upon arrival until you become aware of the setting. Your reservation must include the correct number of dogs in your visit that is stated in your reservation time. Correct or update this if need be before you start your visit at Barkley Park. We are happy to share our safe quiet countryside with pups and their people. MMF is preferred by puppies, dogs, people, adults and kids alike because it has potable water, power, picnic tables, chairs, several firepits, lit portapotties, 3 swing sets, 3 slides, monkey bars, 3 Forts, a log bridge to cross over Little Ames Creek for when the creek is flowing, a doggy playground, lots of picturesque moss, lighted parking lot, woodchip trails and many footpaths over 5 forested moss covered acres. Parking is near the road, separated by 50 ft of woods, so we suggest that all our doggy friends be leashed until they are on the trails with you. Please leash your dog until into the forest away from the parking area, after that Bob's Your Uncle! Watch kids and dogs in the parking area near the road, and at Ames Creek. A secluded place to dork out and have fun, enjoying a natural Pacific rainforest. Note that the creek is dry in midsummer until the fall and winter rains kick in. Boots are recommended in the fall and winter. Find a map of the main trails in a photo on our MMF Sniffspot site. There are lots of foot trails through the understory ferns. The log bridge can be used to cross Ames Creek, or you can ford it to discover the rest of Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot. Please pack out doggy bags with you because there is no garbage pickup here, please leave no trace. If there is a downpour and you want to wait it out there is a dry shed in the parking area. Access to power helps keep your batteries charged. Please carry your toilet paper (sorry it walks away). The portapotties are cleaned once a week. Please note that this is NOT a manicured lawn space; it is a sloping meadow with uneven footing and heavy ground cover. You can explore a network of walking trails that wind through the perimeter forest, while your dogs romp in the meadow and zoom along the trails. There is no end to sniffing material in this 2-acre playground! Again, the terrain in this spot is uneven and sloping, with some steep areas on the trails and possible muddy areas. Spot 1 *fall/winter update* We are working to get the heavy mud under control, this may take a few weeks. Please bring boots and be prepared for dirty dogs. We have various levels of flooding during the winter; the spot has is anticipated to have mud and large puddles. At times we may need to close the spot due to excessive flooding (no dry land!). Keep in mind we also have increased migratory waterfowl in the pasture adjacent. 1 acre of flat field in a beautiful setting. One large tree in the corner. Fully fenced approx 4.5’ with predator fencing. We have motion lights that come on at night, not super bright but makes the spot visible during early night winters. Boarded by two, large pastures, a private road with limited use and our barn. Occasionally during the wet months flocks of geese/ducks may land in the wetlands adjacent. We have goats, turkeys, geese, ducks and chickens but they are on the other side of the property and should not be seen/heard. We have two dogs, Veles and Flora, that will be on the other side of the property or in the house. There is a covered bench and trash can in the spot, fresh water is also available. An outdoor bathroom is available for use, see map. When using the bathroom please keep your pup in your car as it is near our goats and free range chickens. Great snifspot! Really hot there from 10-11, but covered patio and a little shade in the yard. Very organized and clean, with exception of another guest left some dog poo (had to be a large dog, lol) Otherwise would have been fun, but this was my little guy's first time offleash outside and he wasn't real sure what to do. We do plan on going back when it's cooler. (20 month old Mal-shi. ) The agility course was great. A really great setup.

Great experience with my two shepherds! I liked the signage showing where to enter. The yard had all sorts of play equipment and most importantly, lots of balls! The extra amenities (dog and human treats) were a nice touch. We’ll be back.

First time at this spot and it was amazing! The owner has agility equipment, a pool (she’ll even add ice cubes if you want), ball pit, fresh water, treats and plenty of new balls if you forget yours! I may be forgetting something because she has so much to offer. She doesn’t charge for all the extras which is extremely gracious. The yard is huge with plenty of space for zoomies and fetch. The shaded area was amazing especially on this hot day! The fence is secure and she has signs to direct you toward the entrance. Great communication from the host as well. Thank you so very much! We will definitely be back 🫶

We had so much fun at this SniffSpot - our new favorite! The yard is plenty big for a great session of fetch and had so many sweet touches, such as the agility equipment, a herding ball, a pool and a ball pit! The space was clean, well set up, and had SO many fun features for my boy, (plus complementary snacks and drinks for his human). Everything we wanted and more! It was a very large and secure area for our dog to sniff and play. The host had a nice area for owners to sit and complimentary snacks (for both humans and pets), which was a nice touch. One thing to note was that it was difficult to open the gate to enter. My partner had to give me a boost with his hands to reach over the fence and open the latch (I’m 5’4 and he’s 5’9” for reference). After getting the gate opened, we truly had a phenomenal experience. This will become one of our go tos for some off leash time!

My 3 high energy dogs (2 Australian shepherds and 1 border collie) loved this space! We have never introduced them to a herding ball before and they were obsessed! The space was super clean and full of fun things to do! (Including a ball pit!) The dogs enjoyed the complimentary treats and us humans enjoyed the complimentary snacks and beverages! I just recently discovered Sniffspot to find safe places to let my pittie run and stretch his legs. Genny’s Dog Park is a gem of a find. They provide lots of toys including a doggy pool, agility course, all the tennis balls, and a pool of balls that’s reminiscent of Chuckie Cheese. Snacks and refreshments are provided for pups and humans, a nice shaded area, and everything you need to clean up after your pup does their business. The grass was a little dry but that’s to be expected in the summer. Would highly recommend Genny’s Dog Park as a great space and experience to get some wiggles out with your pup!

Decent size backyard with a fairly shielded view for a nervous girl to get some socialization in with a friend. Plenty of spaces to sniff and explore with slopes for working those pup legs. There was a bit of poo, but definitely one of the cleaner yards I've been in, even with the surprise rain creating some fresh mud spots for the dogs (not that they generally mind). Thank you for sharing your back yard with my girl and her friend!
