We have a beautiful secluded property on the Sespe Creek in Fillmore. We have acres of orange trees and two fully fenced areas. One is a fenced 100 x 200' sand arena with access to water and shade. In this arena there may be a small amount of sheep droppings if we have been training the dogs for sheep herding. There is a second arena that is 80 x 120' with agility equipment and the sheep don't go in that area. Dogs can play off leash and stretch their legs in either area. Please do not move the agility equipment around. You are also welcome to make your way down to the creek and let your pup swim and play. Outside of the fenced arena you are welcome to wander in our orange orchard at the bottom 1/2 of our property but please don't approach any residences or allow your dog to bother the livestock. There are sheep in a fenced area and Tank, our livestock guardian dog, lives with them. *Please note - The sand is pretty soft and dogs love to dig in it. They are welcome to dig but please fill in any holes they dig (it’s as easy as dragging the sand back into the hole with your foot) because they create a tripping hazard for other dogs and people.

For the safety of humans and animals, park rules and dog etiquette guidelines have been established by Ventura County Parks Department and County Animal Services and are strictly enforced. Pets must be under control at all times and owners must be able to show proof of proper licensing. The rules that apply to the Mitchell Edelson Dog Park are clearly posted at the entrance of the dog park enclosure. Dogs must be licensed to use this facility. Call Ventura County Animal Services at 805-388-4341 for instructions on how to obtain proper licensing for your dog. Dog owners must clean up after their dogs. Mutt Mitts and waste receptacles are readily available onsite for your convenience. Owners that fail or refuse to clean up after their dogs may be cited by County staff. Dogs may be taken off leash after entering the designated dog park areas. Dogs must be supervised by a responsible person over the age of 18 for the duration of your visit at the dog park. Dogs that are left unattended in the dog park may be impounded by County Animal Services personnel. The Dog Park area is monitored by the Ventura County Animal Services, Ventura County Parks Department, Ventura County Sheriff’s Department, and the Park Host at Soule Park. Please obey all park rules and regulations for everyone’s safety and enjoyment.
