We live on 15 acres, and now have 1.5 acres fully fenced! It is all very flat land making for an easy stroll with your dogs. We are boarded on two edges by farm fields and two edges by neighbors. There is a trail that circles the property, with plenty of space to explore. During the summer, please take advantage of the small kiddie pool. There are also toys and chairs in the fenced area for all guests. Some seasonal things to keep in mind: Spring/fall when we have heavy rain, some areas could have standing water and/or be muddy. Mid to late summer, there are fox tails (cheat grass) that can cling to your dogs. Winter, the trails might not be plowed. There will be a 5gal bucket in the wood shed (inside the fenced area) full of water you can use to refill the two water bowls. Keep an eye out for trip hazards! Logs, sticks, uneven ground and holes.

Ray's Private Dog Park In Edwall

The 50 acres is mostly timber, with a 7 acre pond that has water in it most of the year. It will dry up on really hot years. I do have chickens and pack goats by the house. But they are inside mesh fencing, so your dogs won’t be able to get to them. The 50 acres is completely fenced with a 3 to 5 strand Barbwire fence. It’s in good shape. It is also the property boundary. So as long as you stay inside of the fence, you will be on the property. There are not a lot of neighbors but the ones I have are nice. When you come up the driveway, you can pass the house and drive up on the hill and Park at the conex container. There is lots of wildlife on the property, and I highly recommend that your dog has some sort of tick repellent, we do have ticks in the spring time. The upper part of the driveway is not graveled, so if there’s melting snow, or a lot of ran, it can get muddy. So be prepared for that. Great location. Everything was well marked - great signage! They have thought of everything from extra balls, dog towels and even had a fire going for us on what was a cold drizzly day. Lots of thoughtful touches.

This spot is definitely worth the 1.25 hour drive from West Seattle. Yesterday, even more so... We were all joyously surprised to find snow! The dogs thought they were in heaven. We left tired yet somehow also feeling replenished.

This was our first time using Sniffspot and wow this place was amazing. For two retrievers, we got to have zoomies and walk freely in the woods and so many sniff opportunities. One of the pups love sticks so seeing long branches and sticks and dragging them to the hearts content. We will 100% be coming back to visits

A wet day when we visited but the place was wonderful! More trail-oriented rather than a free-open space but my dog loved it regardless! We didn’t see anyone on the public trail which was great as well to be able to explore further! The signs all over the place also helped us navigate what we should be expecting and we really appreciated that. We did hear the owners’ dogs from a distance though it wasn’t that big of an issue, just a bit of a distraction for my boy. Expected the off-leash area to be more open though it can’t be helped if that’s not the case. Regardless, it was nice to have the whole area and trail to ourselves that I felt safe having my boy off-leash the whole time. We really enjoyed our time there and will be visiting again! Thank you!

Black Pond Farm is gorgeous. It's always at the top of the list of favorites. I am always grateful to the owners for making it available. It has trails for walking, more than one spot to swim, and a big open area for fetch. The owners have done a wonderful job of trying to provide everything you might need, even bug spray. Photographers will love the many options for stunning photos, including the beautiful stonework wall and castle. This last visit was the first time we ran into a horse on the trail, which we weren't ready for. Folks with dogs who need to avoid people or might not react well to horses should be on the lookout or message the owner in advance.

We always love our time at Black Pond Farm! The setting is lush and serene, with so much room for the pups to romp, splash, climb and sniff. We usually head out to the adjacent DNR land too for even more woods to explore. Love it here so much!

Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
