55Great place to hang out with my stranger reactive dog! Lots of shade so it’s the best place to let your dog off leash running in a safe place when we are going to embrace the all time high temperature. The host Roberta is kind and warm hearted. She prepared the clean bottle water, tug toys and even dog treats for us. Will be back next weekend. Gloria Y.

55This was our first experience with Sniffspot and it was great! Booking was super easy and the spot was easy to find. Roberta responded quickly to messages and the property had a cute little trail with toys, water, and a generous amount of treats along the way. Nice secure fencing was a big plus for us. It was perfect for our timid rescue pup’s first time off leash. We look forward to another visit!Katie A.

55Can’t recommend this sniffspot enough! We loved being amongst the trees and the dogs enjoyed having some off leash time. We appreciated the contactless check-in (Roberta gave us very clear instructions on where to go and what to do) as one of our dogs can sometimes be wary of new people. This was also a plus during COVID times. There were cute signs everywhere and a short but nice trail. Roberta also left toys, treats, and water for us and the dogs. So considerate!
For reactive dog owners: I recommend this sniffspot for those with dog- and people-reactive dogs. The area was completely fenced in and we didn’t see anyone in neighbor’s yards. Roberta kindly kept her dog inside and we didn’t have any issues.Christina Y.

55I’ve been twice and both times it was beautiful, with a huge space, water and snacks, and a small network of trails for her to run back and forth. My malamute really tired herself out and it made for a more pleasant long trip for all of us.Nathan P.

55This property was amazing! Really easy to find, clean, perfect place for incline fetch and to sniff out the ball among the ivy. It gave my German shorthair a place to stretch his legs and his senses without worrying about random dogs ambushing.
The host was easy to communicate with through the app. This was my first time using Sniffspot. I will definitely use it again.Stephanie P.

55This was lovely! Sadly I picked the hottest day of the year to come so we did leave a little early but if you go on a more mild day it is a wonderland for dogs. My three boys ran up and down the trails and enjoyed the fresh cold water our host left us at the rntry gate. Kira H.

FAQ about our Pollock Pines dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 97% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Pollock Pines area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 116 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 9 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
