55My dogs love visiting this yard, and it's super convenient if you live in the city. The yard is open and long so the dogs can really run. Plus there are lots of great smells. Another great visit!Cheryl G.

55This was a great spot! Large, flat open area so my dog could run and sniff and I could see her the whole time. It was easy to find and has off street parking. We will return!Kristine A.

55My mom took me here so I could practice my off-leash recall. There was so much space to stretch my legs! I got to play hide and seek behind some really cool big trees and play soccer and fetch too. There was water when I got thirst and so many places to sniff. I love sniffing the fence line and boy did this place have a lot of fence to sniff! I hope I get to go back soon! Mom said I did pretty good listening to her...even when I was distracted by the traffic noise or people riding bikes on the trail. I even got to see my aunt and uncle at Forgotten Star Brewery afterward. Sue M.

55Appreciate that the host always leaves out jugs of water and stainless steel bowls for the pups (and has bag dispensers along the fence in case you need). Leanne S.

55My dogs had a great time exploring this giant sun-dappled yard. Diya investigated every inch of the perimeter, and the yard held her interest for the entire hour. Wiley, who is 12, found multiple nice spots to relax after he finished making his own rounds. A really pleasant space, with secure fencing all around. The location was easy to get to as well.Michelle O.

55What an enormously glorious spot! So much space to run and run, lots of toys, agility equipment, and water, plus plenty of foolish squirrels to tree and stare at. There's sun, there's shade, and you have a clear view of almost everywhere from almost everywhere.
Caveats: My dog is a small Brittany who is probably part kangaroo, is too smart for her own good, and wants nothing more than to escape any fence and go on an adventure. The perimeter fence very solidly kept her in, but there is space under the entrance gate that she tried very hard to get through (and almost succeeded!). We grabbed some logs from the pile near the gate and blocked it and we were fine after that. She did hop over the enclosed garden fence (sorry!), which looked to be about four feet. And unfortunately there are those little prickle burrs so of course she brought a thousand home with her.Bree D.

55A little poop in the yard but otherwise fantastic experience. There were dog bowls and water supplied, plenty of various dog toys out, and the privacy fence kept the dogs engaged in play and ignoring trail users.Tiffany R.

55Currently a great open huge spot for dogs who love to run! It is adjacent to a beautiful stream but it’s on the other side of the fence and during the summer there is a wonderful full agility course. It’s not really a field but it is an acre of open space.Susan C.

55We love this spot! So much room to run around and sniff. And the owner always leaves fresh bottles of water out for the pups - even when it’s freezing. Really appreciate this as most places have taken away their water source now that it’s winter. We come back every week!Betsy H.

FAQ about our Scandia dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 96% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Scandia area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 272 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 18 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby.
